In order to determine the level of resistance of sugar beet varieties against Rhizoctonia solani AG 2-21IIB and AG 4, a methodology was implemented under greenhouse conditions that contemplated the most important criteria regarding to plant-pathogen interaction. The effect of plant growth stage on the development of the disease was evaluated. Seven sugar beet varieties were tested for resistance to R. solani AG 2-2IIIB and AG 4. To detect differences in leaf temperature between/L solani inoculated plants and non-infected plants, an infrared （IR） camera was tested. High incidence of R. solani AG 2-2IIIB and AG 4 in sugar beet plants was evident when the fungal inoculum was applied to two and four weeks old plants. At four weeks after sowing, it was the optimum time to inoculate sugar beet plants in order to generate R. solani infection, since at this time all plants were infected. Significant differences were detected regarding disease incidence between sugar beet varieties inoculated with different anastomosis groups. Leaf temperature was significant different between inoculated and non-inoculated plants, demonstrated that this technique could be a new tool for breeders to screen for resistance of new varieties.

The phosphonate fertilizers, Calphos （calcium phosphonate）, Magphos （magnesium phosphouate） and Phosphoros （potassium phosphonate） were used in Jordan and showed a nematicidal effect. This study aimed to investigate the fungicidal effect of these fertilizers against the growth of the fungi, Fusarium proliferatum, Altrenaria solani, Pythium debaryanum and Penicillium digitatum. Results showed that the phosphonate fertilizer Calphos at the concentration of 1% mixed with potato dextrose agar （PDA） totally inhibited the growth of all studied fungi. Magphos （1%） delayed the growth of the fungus F. proliferatum and inhibited the growth of other tested fungi. While Phosphoros （1%） mixed with PDA inhibited the growth ofA. solani and P. digitatum even after 12 d of incubation and delayed the growth ofF. proliferatum and P. debaryanum compared with the growth of the fungi on the PDA only.

Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disease characterized by high blood glucose levels and a range of other symptomsthat last for a long period of time. It has a rapid prevalence globally, and there is a possibility of the statisticdoubling in a few years. This review is aimed at evaluating the mechanism, pathophysiology, and pharmacologyof diabetes mellitus. The data used was sourced through a thorough review of scientific articles published in avariety of databases, including Springer, Scopus, Elsevier, Google Scholar, Wiley, Web of Science, PubMed, andTaylor & Francis. Furthermore, PhD and MSc theses were also used in compiling data. According to the literaturereview, diabetes mellitus is a persistent condition with various risk factors and serious complications that affectthe quality of life. However, research studies have helped in the prognosis, diagnosis, treatment, and managementof its different forms.

The increasing popularity of herbal medicine and the well-established health benefits of phytochemicals have spurred the multiplicity of nutraceutical and phytopharmaceutical *** this study,Trévo^TM,a nutraceutical and phytopharmaceutical product,was evaluated for beneficial effects in acetaminophen-induced hepatic toxicity in Wistar *** received Trévo^TM(1.5 mL/kg,3.0 mL/kg or 4.5 mL/kg)orally for 14 *** was induced by the oral administration of acetaminophen(2 g/kg),24 h prior to *** liver function tests,oxidative stress indicators and histoarchitectural changes were *** administration occasioned significant increase(P<0.05)in serum bilirubin level and activities of the aminotransferases,alkaline phosphatase,γ-glutamyltransferase and lactate dehydrogenase accompanied by a significant decrease(P<0.05)in albumin level as well as histopathological alterations in liver *** of hepatic oxidative stress by acetaminophen was revealed by significant(P<0.05)increase in lipid peroxidation,depletion of reduced glutathione,and decrease in superoxide dismutase and catalase *** of Trévo^TM remarkably ameliorated acetaminophen-induced histopathological alterations and changes in serum and tissue biochemical *** protective effect of Trévo^TM(4.5 mL/kg)was at par with that of Silymarin(25 mg/kg).The present study indicates that Trévo^TM has notable salubrious effects.

Male infertility has become a problem worldwide,and recent research has emphasized the development of more effective therapy *** natural compounds,rutin has been widely studied for its potential to treat dysfunction related to male infertility,including a reduction in sperm quality,spermatogenesis disruption and structural disruption in the testis.A thorough review of scientific literature published in several databases,including Google Scholar,PubMed/MEDLINE and Scopus,was used to synthesize the present state of research on the role of rutin in male reproductive *** has been shown to possess antiapoptotic,antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities,among others,which are crucial in the management of male *** investigations have shown that rutin protects against male infertility and have explored the underlying mechanisms *** present review,therefore,assesses the therapeutic mechanisms involved in male infertility treatment using *** was able to mitigate the induced oxidative stress,apoptosis,inflammation,and related physiological processes that can cause testicular dysfunction.

OBJECTIVE Pathological disorders may lead to abnormal melanin metabolism, such as hyperpigmentation and vitiligo, breaked up the dynamic equilibrium of Melanin Homeostasis. Present work aims to investigate the role of melanin homeostasis of two pigment models response to a melanogenesis inducer, *** The larval zebrafish and primary C57 BL/6 mice epidermis melanocytes were employed used as the nascent pigment model. Adult zebrafish depigmentation model and mice melanoma B16 F10 cell was used as the regenerative pigment models. Morphological changes and melanin content were used to identify the differences of melanin accumulation in both nascent and regenerative pigment models. Transcriptome differential gene analysis and biochemical validation were used to explore the molecular mechanism involved into melanin accumulation and decomposition. RESULTS The accumulation of melanin was observed in both nascent and regenerative pigment models treated with Kaempferide. Remarkably, the nascent pigment model is more sensitive to Kaempferide-induced melanogenesis than regenerative pigment mode in vivo and in vitro. The accumulation of melanin in both models via MC1 R/ACs/MITF signaling pathway and Metabolic enzymes Catechol O-methyltransferase(COMT). However, Entacapone, an inhibitor of COMT, increased melanin accumulation in pigmentation models more than in regenerated pigmentation *** Melanin homeostasis, involved in melanin metabolism, by promoting melanogenesis and acting on COMT leading to melanogenesis in nascent pigment model,not regenerative pigment model.

The root appears to be the most relevant organ for breeding drought stress ***, our knowledge about temporal and spatial regulation of drought-associated genes in the root remains fragmented, especially in crop plants. We performed a meta-analysis of expression divergence of essential drought-inducible genes and analyzed their association with cis-elements in model crops and major cereal crops. Our analysis of42 selected drought-inducible genes revealed that these are expressed primarily in roots,followed by shoot, leaf, and inflorescence tissues, especially in wheat. Quantitative real-time RT-PCR analysis confirmed higher expression of TaDREB2 and TaAQP7 in roots,correlated with extensive rooting and drought-stress tolerance in wheat. A promoter scan up to 2 kb upstream of the translation start site using phylogenetic footprinting revealed708 transcription factor binding sites, including drought response elements(DREs), auxin response elements(Aux REs), MYCREs/MYBREs, ABAREs, and ERD1 in 19 selected ***, these elements were organized into clusters of overlapping transcription factor binding sites known as homotypic clusters(HCTs), which modulate drought physiology in plants. Taken together, these results revealed the expression preeminence of major drought-inducible genes in the root, suggesting its crucial role in drought adaptation. The occurrence of HCTs in drought-inducible genes highlights the putative evolutionary modifications of crop plants in developing drought adaptation. We propose that these DNA motifs can be used as molecular markers for breeding drought-resilient cultivars, particularly in the cereal crops.

Methyl parathion is a highly hazardous organophosphorus pesticide widely used in agriculture,and its environmental residues pose a significant threat to the *** highly efficient and selective adsorption removal is an important *** by the adsorption filtration function of the kidney by its hierarchical porous organ structure,we have fabricated a bioinspired hierarchical porous polymer （P5HPP） by introducing the intrinsic molecular cavity of pillar[5]arene to porous organic polymers using a photoclick reaction.P5HPP possesses hierarchical nanoporous structures,abundant adsorption sites,and remarkable host–guest *** can achieve the highly efficient and selective adsorption of methyl parathion in various pesticide solutions by specific host–guest binding （π–πinteractions） between pillar[5]arene and methyl *** adsorption efficiency of methyl parathion (10-4M) can achieve nearly 99.1%by 0.5 mg m L-1P5HPP,and the maximum adsorption capacity reaches up to 148.58 mg g-1,which is far superior to other reported pesticide *** practical applications,P5HPP is used as the packing material of the adsorption columns to efficiently and rapidly remove 98.6%of methyl parathion(10-4M) from water and alleviate pesticide poison for aquatic *** of its excellent adsorption performance,good stability,easy recyclability,and low cost,P5HPP is a superb adsorbent for pesticide pollutant treatment with great potential for application in water resource protection.
