＜正＞An investigation was initiated by ikea,a Swedish furniture retailer,to study the present status and future tendency of radiation control in steel *** obtained results were summarized as:（1）Radioactive contamination of steel scrap becomes a major concern of world steel industry and has been recognized as a serious environmental problem.（2） In China the main source of radioactive contaminated scrap is from former Soviet Union;the second source of radioactive contaminated scrap is from the lost or stolen radioactive sources used in Chinese industry;naturally occurring radioactive materials,such as contaminated iron ore,coal,refractory and fluxes,can also affect steel and its by-products.（3）Chinese Government and some professional associations have made one law on radiation protection and several regulations and standards to strictly control radioactive *** major players in Chinese steel industry are aware of the potential health,safety and commercial risks associated with radioactive contaminated scrap.（4）Chinese customs and some large steel companies have installed radiation inspection *** AT-900 series Radiation Portal Monitor（RPM）was recognized as an efficient system used for the rapid detection of unknown hidden radioactive sources in moving vehicles. Small steel companies and scrap dealers have not considered installing radiation inspection *** radioactive contamination has more commercial risks for the furniture and construction industries,it is suggested that the key users of steels should take every opportunity to introduce the risks to steel makers and install their own system at key checking points to monitor radioactive contamination.

瑞典家具零售商 ikea 做了一项研究,是有关钢铁工业目前的辐射管理状况及将来发展趋势的研究。研究结果概括如下：（1）钢铁废料的放射性污染已成为世界钢铁工业关注的主要问题,而且是被世界公认的严重的环境问题。（2）在中国,放射性污染废料的主要来源是前苏联：其次是被遗失或被偷盗的用于中国工业上的放射性资源, 自然产生的放射性材料,例如被污染的铁矿,煤,难熔材料及造渣材料也会对钢及其副产品造成影响。（3）,中国政府和一些职业联合会已经制定了一条辐射防护法及一些规定和标准,严格控制放射性污染。中国钢铁工业的主要运营者已经意识到了与放射性污染废料相关的潜在的健康,安全以及商业危险。（4）中国海关以及一些大的钢铁公司已经安装了放射检测系统。AT-900系列辐射入口监控器是被公认的对移动交通车辆上无法确定的隐藏放射能源进行迅速探测的有效系统。小型钢铁公司以及废料经销商并没有考虑过安装辐射检测系统。因为放射性污染对家具和建筑工业有更多的商业危险,建议钢铁的主要使用者,例如 ikea,要抓住每一次机会向钢铁制造者提出这种危险并在主要的检查点安装自己的系统来监控放射性污染。
