Distributed Stochastic Scheduling of Massive Backup Batteries in Cellular Networks for Operational Reserve and Frequency Support Ancillary Services

Base station(BS)backup batteries(BSBBs),with their dispatchable capacity,are potential demand-side resources for future power *** enhance the power supply reliability and post-contingency frequency security of power systems,we propose a two-stage stochastic unit commitment(UC)model incorporating operational reserve and post-contingency frequency support provisions from massive BSBBs in cellular networks,in which the minimum backup energy demand is considered to ensure BS power supply *** energy,operational reserve,and frequency support ancillary services are co-optimized to handle the power balance and post-contingency frequency security in both forecasted and stochastic variable renewable energy(VRE)***,we propose a dedicated and scalable distributed optimization framework to enable autonomous optimizations for both dispatching center(DC)and *** BS model parameters are stored and processed locally,while only the values of BS decision variables are required to upload to DC under the proposed distributed optimization framework,which safeguards BS privacy *** studies on a modified ieee 14-bus system demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method in promoting VRE accommodation,ensuring post-contingency frequency security,enhancing operational economics,and fully utilizing BSBBs'energy and power ***,the proposed distributed optimization framework has been validated to converge to a feasible solution with near-optimal performance within limited ***,numerical results on the Guangdong 500 kV provincial power system in China verify the scalability and practicality of the proposed distributed optimization framework.

This paper revisits the problem of bumpless transfer control(BTC) for discrete-time nondeterministic switched linear systems. The general case of asynchronous switching is considered for the first time in the field of BTC for switched systems. A new approach called interpolated bumpless transfer control(IBTC) is proposed, where the bumpless transfer controllers are formulated with the combination of the two adjacent modedependent controller gains, and are interpolated for finite steps once the switching is detected. In contrast with the existing approaches, IBTC does not necessarily run through the full interval of subsystems, as well as possesses the time-varying controller gains(with more flexibility and less conservatism) achieved from a control synthesis allowing for the stability and other performance of the whole switched system. Sufficient conditions ensuring stability and H_(∞) performance of the underlying system by IBTC are developed, and numerical examples verify the theoretical findings.

Pressure monitoring of a transformer oil tank can grasp the pressure change process caused by gas production when severe internal defects occur and take timely measures to ensure the safe operation of the *** pressure sensors generally use metal encapsulation or have an air cavity structure,threatening the transformer’s insulation if it is directly used inside the *** this end,this paper proposes a method for developing a high-sensitivity,large-range,and metallizationfree optical pressure sensing device with temperature *** grating is encapsulated by fluorosilicone rubber and supplemented by an epoxy resin shielding shell on the *** the same time,a double-grating vertical arrangement is adopted to improve pressure measurement sensitivity,further avoiding the influence of temperature rise caused by a defect of the transformer on the measurement result of the *** addition,by optimizing the geometric structure of the internal sensitizing element,pre-stretching length of the fiber grating,gap distance,and other parameters,probe size can be reduced while ensuring the sensor’s *** show the proposed method can meet the requirements of sensor fabrication with different sensitivities and ranges,and to a certain extent,both high sensitivity and extensive ranges can be taken into *** sensitivity of the fabricated prototype is 15 pm/kPa,and the range is about 0.2 *** the same time,the metal-free feature of the sensor makes it suitable for use in various oil-immersed power *** records oil pressure changes caused by oil discharge breakdown,making it sensitive to small pressure changes in early failures.

Transient AC Overvoltage Suppression Orientated Reactive Power Control of the Wind Turbine in the LCC-HVDC Sending Grid

High-voltage direct current(HVDC) transmission is a crucial way to solve the reverse distribution of clean energy and loads. The line commutated converter-based HVDC(LCCHVDC) has become a vital structure for HVDC due to its high technological maturity and economic advantages. During the DC fault of LCC-HVDC, such as commutation failure, the reactive power regulation of the AC grid always lags the DC control process, causing overvoltage in the AC sending grid, which brings off-grid risk to the wind power generation based on power electronic devices. Nevertheless, considering that wind turbine generators have fast and flexible reactive power control capability, optimizing the reactive power control of wind turbines to participate in the transient overvoltage suppression of the sending grid not only improves the operational safety at the equipment level but also enhances the voltage stability of the system. This paper firstly analyses the impact of wind turbine's reactive power on AC transient overvoltage. Then, it proposes an improved voltage-reactive power control strategy, which contains a reactive power control delay compensation and a power command optimization based on the voltage time series prediction. The delay compensation is used to reduce the contribution of the untimely reactive power of wind turbines on transient overvoltage, and the power command optimization enables wind turbines to have the ability to regulate transient overvoltage, leading to the variation of AC voltage, thus suppressing the transient overvoltage. Finally, the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed method are verified in a ±800kV/5000MW LCC-HVDC sending grid model based on MATLAB/Simulink.
