Rutaecarpine Inhibits Intimal Hyperplasia in A Balloon-Injured Rat Artery Model

Objective： To investigate the effect and potential mechanisms of rutaecarpine （Rut） in a rat artery balloon-injury model. Methods： The intimal hyperplasia model was established by rubbing the endothelia with a balloon catheter in the common carotid artery （CCA） of rats. Fifty rats were randomly divided into five groups, ie. sham, model, Rut （25, 50 and 75 mg/kg） with 10 rats of each group. The rats were treated with or without Rut （25, 50, 75 mg/kg） by intragastric administration for 14 consecutive days following injury. The morphological changes of the intima were evaluated by hematoxylin-eosin staining. The expressions of proliferating cell nuclear antigen （PCNA） and smooth muscle （SM） oL-actin in the ateries were assayed by immunohistochemical staining. The mRNA expressions of c-myc, extracellular signal-regulated kinase 2 （ERK2）, MAPK phosphatase-1 （MKP-1） and endothelial nitric oxide synthase （eNOS） were determined by real-time reverse chain reaction. The protein expressions of MKP-1 and phosphorylated ERK2 （p-ERK2） were examined by Western blotting. The plasma contents of nitric oxide （NO） and cyclic guanosine 3＇,5＇-monophosphate （cGMP） were also determined. Results： Compared with the model group, Rut treatment significantly decreased intimal thickening and ameliorated endothelial injury （P〈0.05 or P〈0.01）. The positive expression rate of PCNA was decreased, while the expression rate of SM α -actin obviously increased in the vascular wall after Rut （50 and 75 mg/kg） administration （P〈0.05 or P〈0.01）. Furthermore, the mRNA expressions of c-myc, ERK2 and PCNA were downregulated while the expressions of eNOS and MKP-1 were upregulated （P〈0.05 or P〈0.01）. The protein expressions of MKP-1 and the phosphorylation of ERK2 were upregulated and downragulated after Rut （50 and 75 mg/kg） administration （P〈0.05 or P〈0.01）, respectively. The hydrogen storage of(TiZr0.1)xCr1.7-yFeyMn0.3(1.05ies about the maximum and reversible hydrogen storage capacity was 1.79 and 1.45 wt%*** cell parameters a,c and unit cell volume of(TiZr0.1)1.1Cr1.7-yFeyMn0.3(0.2≤y≤0.6)alloys increased as the ratio of Fe/Cr content *** hydrogenation and dehydrogenation plateau pressure decreased from 4.5,3.4–1.0,0.9 MPa respectively and the maximum hydrogen storage capacity increased from 1.79 to 2.0 wt%as the Fe content reduced from 0.6 to 0.2 at274 *** maximum and the reversible hydrogen storage capacity were about 2.0 and 1.65 wt%as the ratio of Fe/Cr was 0.13(ie,(TiZr0.1)1.1Cr1.5Fe0.2Mn0.3alloy),its relative molar enthalpy of dissociation hydrogen was24.30 kJ/mol H2.

Three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy plus concurrent DICE chemotherapy for early-stage nasal-type natural killer/T-cell lymphoma of Waldeyer's ring: A single-institution study

Objective Nasal-type natural killer/T-cell lymphoma of Waldeyer＇s ring （WR-NK/TL） has different clinico- pathological characteristics from those of other subtypes of NK/T lymphoma; thus, the optimal treatment remains unclear. To find a more effective treatment model for WR-NK/TL, we conducted a single-center study of concurrent radiochemotherapy. Methods Forty-five patients with newly diagnosed stage ie to lie WR-NKTL were randomly divided into two groups. The 23 cases in the concurrent radiochemotherapy group were treated with three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy （48-52 Gy） and 2 courses of DICE （dexamethasone, ifosfamide, cisplatin, and etoposide） synchronous chemotherapy. The 22 cases in the radiotherapy group only received three-dimen- sional conformal radiotherapy （50-54 Gy）. The primary end points were overall survival （OS）, progression- free survival （PFS）, and toxicity. Results The 1-, 3-, and 4-year OS and PFS rates were 95.5%, 65.6%, and 45.9%, and 86.4%, 56.0%, and 46.7% in the radiotherapy group, and 100%, 88.5%, and 88.5%, and 100%, 82.0%, and 73.8% in the concurrent radiochemotherapy group, respectively. The OS （P = 0.0477） and PFS rates （P = 0.0488） were higher in the concurrent radiochemotherapy group than in the radiotherapy group. The overall re- sponse rate was 100% in both the radiotherapy group [complete response （CR）, 18 cases] and concurrent radiochemotherapy group （CR, 22 cases）. The concurrent radiochemotherapy group had more severe side effects, especially grade 3 ＋ 4 events, such as leukopenia, anorexia, and stomatitis. However, side effects benefiting from excellent oral care were endurable. Conclusion Radiotherapy plus concurrent DICE chemotherapy may be an effective and safe compre- hensive treatment for patients with WR-NKTL.

The simulation and error analysis of raindrop size distribution obtained by micro rain radar

Observation of raindrop size distribution( DSD) with a vertically pointing micro rain radar( MRR) has important significance in the precipitation measurement field. The Mie scattering of large particle,vertical wind and air turbulence have great influences on the retrieval of DSD measured by MRR. This paper simulates the process of how three factors affect the inversion of DSD and the calculation of other precipitation parameters,then makes the errors analysis. Because the wavelength of MRR is 12.5mm,M ie theory is more suitable for the precipitation particle than Rayleigh approximation,w hich may cause the underestimation of number density of small droplets and the overestimation of that in middle field. The vertical wind results in inaccurate estimation of particle terminal velocity,so the diameter is measured with some errors by empirical relationship,w hich affects the calculating accuracy of radar reflectivity and rain rate. Air turbulence can broaden the pow er spectral density,of which the impact on the inversion of DSD are concentrated in small droplets field. Then the measured data from MRR is analyzed and the results prove the impacts of those factors. Finally,according to the analysis and application limits,the prospect of the future research trend of particle size distribution is conducted.

Molecular Structure, Vibrational Spectrum and Ionization Energy of m-Dimethoxybenzene

The optimized molecular geometries of the three rotamers of m-dimethoxybenzene in the ground So and electronically excited Sl states were predicted by ab initio and density functional theory （DFF） calculations. Their vibrational spectra in the St state were studied by one color resonant two photon ionization （1C-R2PI） method, and their ionization energies were measured by two color resonant two photon ionization （2C-R2PI） experiment. The optimized molecular geometries showed that the total energy of conformer a was the lowest in the So state. Most of the active vibrations assigned from the 1C-R2PI spectrum were found to be of the in-plane ring modes. The ionization energies （ie） of conformers a, b and c were determined to be 63521, 64487 and 63755 cm^-1, respectively.

Review grain yield and nitrogen use efficiency in rice production regions in China

As one of the staple food crops, rice（Oryza sativa L.） is widely cultivated across China, which plays a critical role in guaranteeing national food security. Most previous studies on grain yield or/and nitrogen use efficiency（NUE） of rice in China often involved site-specific field experiments, or small regions with insufficient data, which limited the representation for the current rice production regions. In this study, a database covering a wide range of climate conditions, soil types and field managements across China, was developed to estimate rice grain yield and NUE in various rice production regions in China and to evaluate the relationships between N rates and grain yield, NUE. According to the database for rice, the values of grain yield, plant N accumulation, N harvest index（HIN）, indigenous N supply（INS）, internal N efficiency（ie_N）, reciprocal internal N efficiency（Rie_N）, agronomic N use efficiency（AE_N）, partial N factor productivity（PEPN）, physiological N efficiency（PE_N）, and recover efficiency of applied N（RE_N） averaged 7.69 t ha^（–1）, 152 kg ha^（–1）, 0.64 kg kg^（–1）, 94.1 kg kg^（–1）, 53.9 kg kg^（–1）, 1.98 kg kg^（–1）, 12.6 kg kg^（–1）, 48.6 kg kg^（–1）, 33.8 kg kg^（–1）, and 39.3%, respectively. However, the corresponding values all varied tremendously with large variation. Rice planting regions and N rates had significant influence on grain yield, N uptake and NUE values. Considering all observations, N rates of 200 to 250 kg ha^（–1） commonly achieved higher rice grain yield compared to less than 200 kg N ha^（–1） and more than 250 kg N ha^（–1） at most rice planting regions. At N rates of 200 to 250 kg ha^（–1）, significant positive linear relationships were observed between rice grain yield and AE_N, PE_N, RE_N, ie_N, and PFPN, and 46.49, 24.64, 7.94, 17.84, and 88.24% of the variation in AE_N, PE_N, RE_N, ie_N, and PFPN could be explained by grain yield, respectively. Public confidence in government, a symbol representing the government’s influence and appeal, relates to the development of social stability, deepening of economic restructuring and advancement of political system reform. With current trend to build a service-oriented government, as well as more cases occurring on crisis of government confidence, the public are surely to express their despair, dissatisfaction and distrust on the government if the government’s public products and services can not meet their needs of vital interests or expectations. The Article, with ACSI model and public services available in Zhejiang province, demonstrates through 348 effective samples relations of 4 factors on public services delivery satisfaction, ie. "Services delivery-based impartiality satisfaction", "Services delivery-based efficiency satisfaction", "Services delivery-based effect satisfaction" and "Services delivery-based economy satisfaction", with 2 factors on the government’s public confidence, ie. "Honesty and credibility" and "Legal compliance", and consequently raising proposals on improvement of government’s public confidence through enhanced delivery of public services.

Loading of tacrolimus containing lipid based drug delivery systems into mesoporous silica for extended release

Many studies had been focused on designing tacrolimus sustained release preparations based on solid dispersion technique, but no one had tried to employ mesoporous silica as the carrier material to realize this goal. The purpose of this study was to develop a novel, simple and environmental friendly drug loading method with mesoporous silica to obtain tacrolimus sustained-release preparation. Tacrolimus was firstly dissolved in the molten mixed lipid composed of Compritol 888 ATO and Gelucire 50/13 to prepare a drug loaded lipid-based drug delivery systems(LBDDS), then the liquid LBDDS was adsorbed by mesoporous silica to transfer the liquid into solid powder, ie. the tacrolimus sustained release silica-lipid hybrid(SLH). The SLH was characterized by SEM, CLSM, XRPD and DSC, and the in vitro drug release was tested using a paddle method. SEM and CLSM observation showed that the LBDDS was efficiently distributed throughout the pores of the silica. The results of DSC and XRPD illustrated that the lipid existed inside the silica at amorphous state. The drug-loaded SLH showed good flowability, compressibility, compactibilty and two-phase in vitro drug release process within 24 hours, which did not change obviously even after storage at 40 °C for 10 *** present study provided a novel and simple method to prepare tacrolimus sustained release powder, which provided a feasible solution to solidify the liquid LBDDS of not only extended drug release behavior, but also improved stability and micromeritic properties.

In order to analyze crime hot spots, we use Kernel estimation. The choice of Kernel function and Band-width is critical in kernel density estimation, which decides the accuracy of the estimation. We choose Gauss kernel and further obtain the optimal Band-width in the sense of square error MISE. Using Kernel estimation, not only can we calculate the density of crime in the region, but also accurately show the areas with the relative high-crime density and get the maximum point according to the information about the previous criminal spots. Last we use Kernel estimation to predict Peter Sutcliffe "the Yorkshire Ripper" 11th criminal location based on the previous criminal locations in the Serial murders. Finally we can get the range of the criminal hot zone: Longitude: 53.6875N - 53.8125N;Altitude: 1.775W - 1.815 W. In fact, the coordinate of Peter’s 11th criminal loca tion is （53.817N, 1.784W）.From this, it can be seen that our estimation is relatively accurate.
