End-to-end dataflow engineering framework of honey manufacturing from intermediates to process by TAS1R2@AuNPs/SPCE biosensor coupled with quality transfer principle

This study reported an original end-to-end dataflow engineering framework for the quality transfer principle to overcome the quality challenges in real-world honey manufacturing. Firstly, 650 pivotal data points of physical and chemical quality attributes from 65 batches of honey intermediates were characterized through multiple sensors, which included rheological properties, acidity, moisture, and sugars. Furthermore, a hypersensitized TAS1R2@AuNPs/SPCE biosensor was developed to identify biological quality attributes of honey, the powerful affinities between honey intermediates and the TAS1R2 receptor were discovered (KD −8 M), and the abnormal batches of B2, B23 and C23 were diagnosed by TAS1R2@AuNPs/SPCE biosensor and multivariable algorithm. Finally, the end-to-end dataflow containing physical, chemical and biological critical quality attributes was successfully established to interpret the quality transfer principle of honey manufacturing, which revealed that the front-end refining process was relatively unstable and the back-end refining process was a negligible influence on the quality of honey manufacturing. This framework embraces quality management, quality transfer, and biosensor information, which will contribute to discovering the quality transfer principle in industrial innovation for intelligent manufacturing. © 2022

Ordered mesoporous materials have received great attention due to their well-defined pore structures and potential applications in catalysis,adsorption,separation,drug delivery,*** various compositions of mesoporous solids have been successfully prepared,the preparation of crystalline non-metallic oxyacid salts with ordered mesoporosity remains a major ***,we report the synthesis of a mesoporous solid acid crystalline boron phosphate(BPO_(4))catalyst with a bicontinuous shifted double diamond(SDD)hyperbolic surface *** BPO_(4) scaffold was obtained by synergistic selfassembly in a mixed solvent of water and tetrahydrofuran using the diblock copolymer poly(ethylene oxide)-block-polystyrene as template and phosphoric acid and orthoboric acid as inorganic *** structure consists of two sets of diamond networks adjacent to each other with a mesostructural scale tetragonal symmetry(space group I4_(1)/amd)with unit cell parameters of a=80 nm and c=113 nm,which affords the scaffold a specific surface area of 44 m^(2)/*** a solid acid catalytic material,the SDD BPO_(4) scaffold exhibited excellent catalytic activity at room temperature with a conversion of furfural to 2-(dimethoxymethyl)furan over 70%and can be reused after recovery without serious loss of *** the propane oxidative dehydrogenation reaction,SDD BPO_(4) demonstrated high olefin productivity and selectivity while maintaining high reaction *** study provides ideas for the preparation of ordered mesoporous crystalline catalytic materials and demonstrates their potential for practical applications.

Pyridyl-based ketones and 1,6-diketones are both attractive and invaluable scaffolds which play pivotal roles in the construction and structural modification of a plethora of synthetically paramount natural products, pharmaceuticals, organic materials and fine chemicals. In this context, we herein demonstrate an unprecedented, robust and generally applicable synthetically strategy to deliver these two crucial ketone frameworks via visible-light-induced ring-opening coupling reactions of cycloalcohols with vinylazaarenes and enones, respectively. A plausible mechanism involves the selective β-C-C bond cleavage of cycloalcohols enabled by proton-coupled electron transfer and ensuing Giese-type addition followed by single electron reduction and protonation. The synthetic methodology exhibits broad substrate scope,excellent functional group compatibility as well as operational simplicity and environmental friendliness.

Uptake and translocation of sulfamethazine by alfalfa grown under hydroponic conditions

Antibiotics are routinely used in intensive animal agriculture operations collectively known as Concentrated Animal Feed Operations （CAFO） which include dairy, poultry and swine farms. Wastewater generated by CAFOs often contains low levels of antibiotics and is typically managed in an anaerobic lagoon. The objective of this research is to investigate the uptake and fate of aqueous sulfamethazine （SMN） antibiotic by alfalfa （Medicago satiua） grass grown under hydroponic conditions. Uptake studies were conducted using hydroponically grown alfalfa in a commercially available nutrient solution supplemented with 10 mg/L of SMN antibiotic. Analysis of alfalfa sap, root zone, middle one-third, and top portion of the foliage showed varying uptake rate and translocation of SMN. The highest average amount of SMN （8.58 μg/kg） was detected in the root zone, followed by the top portion （1.89μg/kg）, middle one-third （1.30 μg/kg）, and sap （0.38 μg/kg） samples, indicating a clear distribution of SMN within the sampled regions. The ultraviolet （UV） spectra of parent SMN and translocated SMN identified in different parts of the plant present the possibility of metabolization during the uptake process. Uptake of SMN using alfalfa grown under hydroponic conditions has potential as a promising remediation technology for removal of similar antibiotics from wastewater lagoons.

A data-driven framework with strong generalization capabilities is proposed to effectively extract features and easily access battery capacity. This framework can make highly accurate predictions for the battery capacities of plug-in electric vehicles. The feature extraction process is entirely based on statistics, which are always available and can be generalized to various types of battery data. An improved ampere-hour integral method can easily access battery capacity with just short-charging segments lasting 500 s. Several machine-learning models are trained to verify the framework's effectiveness, with the best model achieving a test error of 0.84 % based on leave-one-out validation. SHAP values are used to provide a reasonable interpretation of the relationships between the constructed features and model outputs. The proposed framework offers advantages such as reduced computational resources, wide generalization, and high prediction accuracy, showing great potential for battery management.

Geostatistics-block-based characterization of the relationship between rock mass quality and powder factor and its application on open-pit limit optimization

Accurately predicting the powder factor during blasting is essential for sustainable production planning in low-grade *** research presents a method for predicting powder factor based on the heterogeneity of rock mass rating(RMR).Considering a low-grade metal mine as an example,this study exploited geostatistical methods to obtain independent RMR for each block unit.A three-dimensional spatial distribution model for the powder factor was developed on the basis of the relationships between the RMR and the powder ***,models for blasting cost and mining value were built and employed to optimize the open-pit *** multi-variable model based on the RMR performed well in predicting the powder factor,achieving a correlation coefficient of 0.88(root mean square error of 4.3)and considerably outperforming the uniaxial compressive strength *** model optimization,the mean size and standard deviation of the fragments in the blast pile decreased by 8.5%and 35.1%,respectively,whereas the boulder yield and its standard deviation decreased by 33.3%and 58.8%,***,optimizing the open-pit limit using this method reduced the amount of rock,increased the amount of ore,and lowered blasting costs,thereby enhancing the economic efficiency of the *** study provides valuable insights for blasting design and mining decisions,demonstrating the advantages and potential applications of powder factor prediction based on the heterogeneity of rock mass quality.

Modeling of Biomethane Production from Multiple Organic Wastes based on Modified ADM1

The Anaerobic Digestion Model No.1（ADM1）has been modified to include enhanced kinetic parameters,which more precisely simulate methane production during the anaerobic digestion of diverse organic solid *** and validation of the model were achieved using experimental data from batch fermentation *** of the updated ADM1were conducted using AQUASIM2.0software. Sensitivity analysis helped identify and assess the most critical kinetic parameters affecting biogas production. Key parameters such as the microorganism decay constant(d-1),disintegration rate constant(d-1),hydrolysis rate constant for carbohydrates(d-1),Monod maximum specific substrate uptake rate（gCOD/gVSS·d）,and half-saturation constants were found to significantly influence biogas yield. The optimal values for these parameters were identified as0.03, 6.07, 3.64,and0.27,respectively. These optimized values were validated through batch experiments. The modified ADM1successfully predicted methane production,achieving R2 values greater than0.8in all validation trials. Key methanogens,Methanosarcina and Methanosaeta,were identified,and their enrichment during mixed fermentation of various organic solid wastes indicated enhanced methane production via aceticlastic methanogenesis. The microbial characterization and simulations using the modified ADM1model supported each other.

The depression mechanism of sulfite ions on sphalerite and Pb^(2+)activated sphalerite in the flotation separation of galena from sphalerite still lacked in-depth ***,the depression mechanism of sulfite ions on sphalerite and Pb^(2+)activated sphalerite in the flotation separation of galena from sphalerite was further systematically investigated with experiments and density functional theory(DFT)*** X-ray photoelectric spectroscopy(XPS)results,DFT calculation results,and frontier molecular orbital analysis indicated that sulfite ions were difficult to be adsorbed on sphalerite surface,suggesting that sulfite ions achieved depression effects on sphalerite through other non-adsorption ***,the oxygen content in the surface of sphalerite treated with sulfite ions in creased,which enhanced the hydrophilicity of the sphalerite and further increased the difference in hydrophilicity between sphalerite and ***,sulfite ions were chelated with lead ions to form PbSO_(3)in *** hydrophilic PbSO_(3)was more easily adsorbed on sphalerite than *** interaction between sulfite ions and lead ions could effectively inhibit the activation of *** addition the UV spectrum showed that after adding sulfite ions,the peak of perxanthate in the sphalerite treated xanthate solution was significantly stronger than that in the galena with xanthate solution,indicating that xanthate interacted more readily with sulfite ions and oxygen mo lecules within the sphalerite system,leading to the formation of ***,sulfite ions hardly depressed the flotation of ga lena and could promote the flotation of galena to some *** study deepened the understanding of the depression mechanism o sulfite ions on sphalerite and Pb^(2+)activated sphalerite.

Using piezoelectric technology to harvest energy from pavement: A review

A key point in building a contemporary energy system is the search for sustainable and green energy. Many green energy sources exist in the road or pavement domain, such as solar, thermal, wind, and mechanical energy, etc. Under the repeated vehicle loads,stresses and strains are generated in the pavement, which can generate substantial mechanical energy. In recent two decades, there has been a growing scholarly preference for utilizing the piezoelectric effect to convert mechanical energy from pavement into electricity to supply low-power transportation facilities, pavement sensors, etc. This paper provides an in-depth review of state-of-the-art advances in road piezoelectric energy harvesters. The basic principle of piezoelectric energy harvesting and common piezoelectric materials were briefly introduced. The piezoelectric energy harvesters suitable for roads are thoroughly reviewed from five perspectives: structure, finite element analyses,protective packaging, management circuit, and application. Finally, the challenges faced by piezoelectric energy harvesters for pavements were summarized, and the potential research directions were also proposed. This review serves as a valuable reference for advancing road piezoelectric harvesting technology development.
