Detailed analysis of PCBs and PCDD/Fs impurities in a dielectric oil sample （ASKAREL Nr 1740） from an imported transformer in China

Homolog and congener profiles of polychlori- nated biphenyls （PCBs）, polychlorinated dibenzo-p- dioxins （PCDDs） and polychlorinated dibenzofurans （PCDFs） in commercial PCBs formulations are useful information for the source appointment of PCBs contam- ination as well as the risk assessment caused by potential exposure. Dielectric oil （ASKAREL Nr 1740） in an imported transformer found in China was sampled and analyzed by isotope dilution technology using high resolution gas chromatography-high resolution mass spectrometry （HRGC/HRMS）. The detailed homolog and congener profiles of PCBs obtained were compared with those of known Aroclor formulations. High similarity in the homolog profile between the oil sample and Aroclor 1260was found, with the hexachlorinated and hepta- chlorinated biphenyls accounting for more than 80.2% of the total PCBs concentration. Severn indicator PCBs contribute about 30%, while 12 PCB congeners （i.e., # 153, #143, #168, #180, #149, #165, #138, #170, #190, #187, #174, #181） account for more than 50% of the total PCB concentrations. Total concentration ofPCDDs, PCDFs and dioxin-like PCBs （DL-PCBs） was found to be 740 ng TEQ/g, of which 620 ng TEQ/g came from DL-PCBs. The contribution of PCDDs to the total TEQ was neglectable. The concentration of PCDFs homologs follows the order of OCDF 〉 HxCDFs 〉 HpCDFs 〉 PeCDFs 〉 TeCDFs, which is in consistence with the previous study on Aroclor 1260. Three DL-PCBs congeners （i.e., #118, #156, #157） accounted for 77% of the total concentration of DL-PCBs, also they contribute 72% in the TEQ caused by DL-PCBs.

Role of Salix reinii patches in spatio-temporal patterns of cohabitants on a Japanese volcano

为了做好汇流处的河道规划,定量地预测出汇流处的河床变形情况是很重要的.本文建立了一个既能处理干支流汇流,又能考虑泥沙粒度分布以及流线曲率的二维河床变形数学模型,并通过两个算例对汇流处的河床变形以及粒径分选情况进行了讨论.在算例1中,干支流的泥沙粒度分布被设定为相同,在算例2中,支流的泥沙被设定为比干流的细小,其平均粒径为干流的一半.计算结果表明,汇流处的冲淤情况两计算例子基本相同,受支流河床泥沙组成的影响不大,但汇流处的河床平均粒径,却深受支流来沙的影响,两算例差异较大.当支流泥沙细小时,受其直接流入影响,汇流处左岸未呈现出冲刷与河床粗化的对应关系.

FDA Approves First Dietary Supplement under New Drug Application with the Indication of Serious or Life-Threatening Illnesses

Background: Research began on botanical/herbal organisms to study plant cells. The idea behind this was that plant cells have basic similar actions as do animal cells (i.e., both are Eukaryotic cells). These cells can show what activity is produced from the Technology/Innovation behind ImunStem, without risk to animals or humans, and still retrieve data to verify the theory. By using plants and studying plant cell activity, then later comparing plant cell, animal cells, and human cell responses, it thus shows activity for all cell structures. The activity was also studied from patients taking ImunStem for the indication of Serious or Life-threatening conditions or diseases. Patient medical report results showed an overall improvement in bodily function as blood report results were compared. Patients that were administered ImunStem showed improvement in their overall health and patients with chronic disease had reduced pain as ImunStem was administered over time. The pain was reduced because the body was in the healing process and a reduction in inflammation would occur during healing and the patient’s health would improve. ImunStem was produced based on the theory that the product could rejuvenate the cell and bring the cell back to a homeostasis balance. This balance to the cell (through nutrition) can give the surrounding cells a homeostasis balance that may heal cells and tissues in the body. It is believed that the function of a Quantum Wave effect is explained through the discipline of Quantum Mechanics. The Quantum Wave may disrupt the subatomic particles that provide adhesion to allow the product through the cell wall and move to its target location. In Quantum Mechanics, particles have wavelike properties. The Schrödinger equation, for example, governs how these waves behave. Huu S. TIEU’s Predicting Outcome of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) and Preparing the Treatment for COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and Other Viral Pandemics

This project paper is to give a prediction for the future of other viral pandemics and to provide recommendations for preparing therapies that could help in the success of effective treatments and benefits for patients in life-threatening situations. The theory of prediction was proposed by Huu S. TIEU on March 25, 2019, and he hypothesized that any malfunctioning cell in the body could have a damaging effect. This paper discusses the prediction that Localized Oxygen Deprivation could be a contributing factor for a future epidemic or other viral pandemics that could affect body function. This paper is based on opinion and does not have sufficient evidence to support the claims made. Therefore, further in-depth study is needed to prove the findings. The author cites Hypoxia to support his idea, but he is not claiming that Hypoxia-Inducible Factor (HIF) has worked on his predictions. The author also tested a theory using cow blood curd for body function, but this test was not a structured test and the findings were not supported by other evidence. To further prove the idea or theory, further study into the subject should be conducted.

Predetermination of potential plastic hinges on reinforced concrete frames using GFRP reinforcement

In the past,glass fiber-reinforced polymer(GFRP)-reinforcement has been successfully applied in reinforced concrete(RC)structures where corrosion resistance,electromagnetic neutrality,or cuttability were *** investigations suggest that the application of GFRP in RC structures could be advantageous in areas with seismic activity due to their high deformability and ***,especially the low modulus of elasticity of GFRP limited its wide application as GFRP-reinforced members usually exhibit considerably larger deformations under service loads than comparable steel-reinforced *** overcome the aforementioned issues,the combination of steel and GFRP reinforcement in hybrid RC sections has been investigated in the *** on this idea,this paper presents a novel concept for the predetermination of potential plastic hinges in RC frames using GFRP *** analyze the efficiency of the concept,nonlinear finite element simulations were *** results underscore the high efficiency of hybrid steel-GFRP RC sections for predetermining potential plastic hinges on RC *** results also indicate that the overall seismic behavior of RC structures could be improved by means of GFRP as both the column base shear force during the seismic activity as well as the plastic deformations after the earthquake were considerably less pronounced than in the steel-reinforced reference structure.

Polyclonal clustering algorithm and its convergence

Being characteristic of non-teacher learning, self-organization, memory, and noise resistance, the artificial immune system is a research focus in the field of intelligent information processing. Based on the basic princ.ples of organism immune and clonal selection, this article presents a polyclonal clustering algorithm characteristic of self-adaptation. According to the core idea of the algorithm, various immune operators in the artificial immune system are employed in the clustering process; moreover, clustering numbers are adjusted in accordance with the affinity function. Introduction of the recombination operator can effectively enhance the diversity of the individual antibody in a generation population, so that the searching scope for solutions is enlarged and the premature phenomenon of the algorithm is avoided. Besides, introduction of the inc.nsistent mutation operator enhances the adaptability and optimizes the performance of local solution seeking. Meanwhile, the convergence of the algorithm is accelerated. In addition, the article also proves the convergence of the algorithm by employing the Markov chain. Results of the data simulation experiment show that the algorithm is capable of obtaining reasonable and effective cluster.
