This paper presents a NO2sensor operating at low temperature, which was fabricated by ZnO nanoparticlesloaded In2O3hollow microspheres composites. SEM, XRD, XPS and HRTEM were executed to determine the morphology and microstructure of ZnO–In2O3. The sensing performance of pure In2O3and ZnO–In2O3composite sensors was tested. The NO2sensing properties of the composite were greatly improved in contrast with the pure In2O3sensor at the optimized operating temperature（75 °C）. ZnO–In2O3composite sensor exhibited an obviously higher response（805.2 for 100 ppb NO2） than that of the pure In2O3sensor（14 for 100 ppb NO2）. In particular, the response/recovery rate of ZnO–In2O3composite sensor was greatly improved in contrast with the pure In2O3sensor. The n-n heterojunctions created at ZnO–In2O3interfaces improved the sensing performance.

The excessive concentration of NO_(2) in the atmosphere has gained considerable attention due to its damage to the environment and human health. Gas sensor technology has important application prospects in detecting atmospheric NO_(2) concentration. Restricted by its wide bandgap, pristine ZnO needs additional energy to power the electronic transition as a gas sensing material.

In this study, cold spraying（CS） was used to deposit a mixture of nickel-coated graphite and 40 vol.% Al powder（Ni-Gr/Al） on a steel substrate aiming to effectively preserve a certain volume fraction of graphite in the deposited Ni-Gr/Al composite coating. The microstructure of the as-sprayed coating and the effect of post-spray heat-treatment（PSHT） temperatures on the in-situ formation of Ni-Al intermetallic phases in coating were studied. The tribological behaviors of the as-sprayed coating and the PSHTed coating under 450？C were tested at 25？C, while the as-sprayed coating was tested at 450？C for *** a result, the Ni-Gr particles showed a homogenous distribution in the coating. The multilayer Ni-Al intermetallics-coated graphite/Al composite coating was achieved in situ after the PSHT of 450？C, where the graphite did decompose at 550？C leaving big pores in the coating. The coefficients of friction（COF）of the CSed coating and the PSHTed coating were measured at 450？C as well as 25？C, which showed a similar tendency, much higher than that of the CSed coating tested at 25？C. The lubrication phase（graphite） improved the formation of a graphite film during sliding friction and decreased the COF, while the hard Ni-Al intermetallic phases contributed to the increase of COF.

Solitons are self-reinforcing localized wave packets that manifest in the major areas of nonlinear science,from optics to biology and Bose-Einstein ***,optically driven dissipative solitons have attracted great attention for the implementation of the chip-scale frequency combs that are decisive for communications,spectroscopy,neural computing,and quantum information *** the current understanding,the generation of temporal solitons involves the chromatic dispersion as a key enabling physical effect,acting either globally or locally on the cavity dynamics in a decisive ***,we report on a novel class of solitons,both theoretically and experimentally,which builds up in spectrally confined optical cavities when dispersion is practically absent,both globally and ***,the interplay between the Kerr nonlinearity and spectral filtering results in an infiinite hierarchy of eigenfunctions which,combined with optical gain,allow for the generation of stable dispersion-less dissipative solitons in a previously unexplored *** the filter order tends to infinity,we find an unexpected link between dissipative and conservative solitons,in the form of Nyquist-pulse-like solitons endowed with an ultra-flat *** contrast to the conventional dispersion-enabled nonlinear Schr?dinger solitons,these dispersion-less Nyquist solitons build on a fully confined spectrum and their energy scaling is not constrained by the pulse ***-less soliton molecules and their deterministic transitioning to single solitons are also *** findings broaden the fundamental scope of the dissipative soliton paradigm and open new avenues for generating soliton pulses and frequency combs endowed with unprecedented temporal and spectral features.

We propose a new analytical approach combining vibrational spectroscopy and acoustic tomography for the detection and characterization of vesicles inside Streptomyces bacteria. Using atomic force microscopy and infrared spectroscopy （AFM-IR）, we detect the presence of triglyceride vesicles. Their sizes in depth are measured with high accuracy using mode synthesizing atomic force microscopy （MS-AFM）. We conducted a comparative study of AFM-IR and MS-AFM, and highlighted the advantages of the coupling of these techniques in having a full characterization （chemical, topographical, and volumetric） of a biological sample. With these complementary techniques, a complete access to the vesicle size distribution has been achieved with an accuracy of less than 50 nm. A 3D reconstruction of bacteria showing the in-depth distribution of vesicles is given to underline the great potential of the acoustic method.

This work focused on the deposition characteristics and wear behavior of Ni-coated graphite mixed with40 vol.% Al（Ni-Gr/Al） composite coatings sprayed on an Al alloy and a steel substrate by cold spraying（CS）. The morphology of the flattened Ni-Gr particles was examined by single-impact tests. Crosssectional microstructure and wear performance of the Ni-Gr/Al composite coatings were studied. Results showed that a larger number of Ni-Gr particles were finally bonded with the steel substrate, whereas many craters existed on the Al alloy substrate after the single-impact tests. The coating on the steel substrate had a high thickness, high graphite content and low coeficient of friction（COF） compared to those on the Al alloy substrate. In addition, the CS coatings presented a homogeneous distribution and uniform morphology of graphite, and a comparative COF to that of conventional thermal sprayed coatings. It was shown that CS could avoid the decomposition and transformation of graphite phase.
