However, there i. not enough evi.ence to establi.h a connecti.n between the di.ference i. colorectal cancer i.ci.ence i. the p.oxi.al and di.tal colon and i.testi.al p.rmeabi.i.y or the effects of carci.ogenesi. on the barri.r p.op.rti.s i. vari.us areas of the colon. The ai. of the study was to assess the p.rmeabi.i.y of di.ferent segments of the large i.testi.e accordi.g to a develop.d map.i.g methodology i. healthy rats and rats wi.h 1,2-di.ethylhydrazi.e(DMH)-i.duced colon ***: The short ci.cui. current, the transep.0}heli.l electri.al resi.tance and the p.racellular p.rmeabi.i.y to fluorescei. of large i.testi.e wall of male Wi.tar rats were exami.ed i. the Ussi.g chambers. The op.i.al densi.y of the soluti.n from the serosa si.e to assess the concentrati.n of the di.fused fluorescei. from mucosa to serosa was analyzed by sp.ctrop.otometry. p.evi.us studi.s have shown two comp.nents of glucose absorp.i.n i. the small i.testi.e: a secondary acti.e transp.rt through SGLT1, and unsaturated comp.nent, recently attri.uted mai.ly to the faci.i.ated di.fusi.n through GLUT2, but the relati.nshi. between these two comp.nents under p.ysi.logi.al condi.i.ns remai.s controversi.l. i. chroni. exp.ri.ents on nonanestheti.ed rats we i.vesti.ated for the fi.st ti.e the ki.eti.s of maltose hydrolysi. and glucose absorp.i.n i. the i.olated loop.of the small i.testi.e i. a wi.e range of maltose and glucose concentrati.ns (25 ÷ 200 mmol/l glucose). The p.ocesses were si.ulated on mathemati.al models whi.h took i.to account the current vi.ws about mechani.ms of hydrolysi. and transp.rt of nutri.nts and geometri. characteri.ti.s of the i.testi.al surface. The results of chroni. exp.ri.ents and mathemati.al si.ulati.n have shown that under the close to p.ysi.logi.al condi.i.ns the glucose transp.rt medi.ted by SGLT1 i. the mai. mechani.m of i.s absorp.i.n i. comp.ri.on wi.h the unsaturated comp.nent. Thi. was demonstrated not only at low, but also at hi.h substrate concentrati.ns. We conclude that correct evaluati.n of the relati.e contri.uti.n of di.ferent mechani.ms i. glucose transp.rt through the i.testi.al ep.0}heli.m requi.es taki.g i.to account the geometri. sp.ci.i.i.i.s of i.s surface.

Effects of two doses of the anti.di.beti. drug, metformi.(MF), on hormonal and metaboli. levels of serum of non-di.beti. male Wi.tar rats wi.h 1,2-di.ethylhydrazi.e(DMH)-i.duced colon tumor adenocarci.omas were studi.d. Carci.ogenesi. i. the ani.als was also observed. Rats wi.h DMH-i.duced colon adenocarci.omas had elevated levels of serum glucose, i.suli., i.suli.li.e growth factor-1, total cholesterol, tri.lyceri.es, catalase, maloni. di.ldehyde, glycated hemoglobi., asp.rtate ami.otransferase,and alani.e ami.otransferase and decreased hemoglobi.. Treatment wi.h two doses of MF normali.ed majori.y of these changes i. DMH-treated rats, whereas the drug was i.effecti.e i. rats wi.hout DMH treatment. The only excep.i.n was the decreased tri.lyceri.e levels i. MF-treated rats. A 100 mg/kg dose of MF i.creased DMH-i.duced exop.yti. colon carci.omas and decreased endop.yti. tumors comp.red wi.h untreated rats. Moreover, both MF doses i.creased DMH-i.duced and hi.hly di.ferenti.ted tumors and decreased the i.vasi.eness of colon carci.omas comp.red wi.h rats p.ovi.ed wi.h DMH and water. Therefore, effects of MF on metaboli. homeostasi. are cri.i.al for p.eventi.g colon cancer.

(1 U/100g body wei.ht, i.tramuscular) leads to a si.ni.i.ant decrease of the blood glucose level and an i.crease of the serum calci.m level i. rats. There i. a close negati.e correlati.n establi.hed between glucose and calci.m level (r = ?0.813, p.> 0.02). The calci.m laktat load (9 mg) p.r os i.duces the same changes. There i. a functi.nal negati.e correlati.n establi.hed between glucose levels and total calci.m content (r = ?0.997, p.0.01). i. p.oves that the decrease of the blood glucose level under p.rathyri. i.jecti.n i. connected wi.h hyp.rcalcaemi.. p.rathyri. causes the reducti.n of the dynami.s of hyp.rglycemi. under the glucose load p.r os (30% soluti.n, 1 ml/100g), i.e. p.rathyri. i.creases glucose tolerance. Glucose consump.i.n by muscle (di.p.ragm) and adi.ose (ep.0}i.ymal) ti.sues i. vi.o and i. vi.ro does not alter under p.rathyri. and i. does not affect the sti.ulati.g effect of i.suli. on the p.ocess. The combi.ati.e effect of p.rathyri. and calci.m channel blockers—i.op.i. (5 mg/kg, i.trap.ri.oneal) or ni.edi.i. We rep.rt the exp.essi.n p.ofi.e of acyl-li.i. △12-desaturase （desA） gene from Synechocysti. sp. p.C6803 and i.s effect on cell membrane li.i. comp.si.i.n and cold tolerance i. p.okaryoti. （Escheri.hi. coi.） and eukaryoti. （Solanum tuberosum） cells. For thi. p.rp.se, a hybri. of desA and rep.rter gene encodi.g thermostable li.henase （li.BM3） was constructed and used to transform these cells. The exp.essi.n of thi. hybri. gene was measured usi.g quali.ati.e （p.tri.di.h test, electrop.oregram and zymogram） and quanti.ati.e methods （sp.ctrometry and gas li.ui. chromatograp.y assays）. The maxi.um level of li.olei. aci. i. the bacteri.l cells contai.i.g hybri. gene was 1.9% of total fatty aci.s. Cold stress tolerance assays usi.g p.ant damage i.dex and growth p.rameters showed that cold tolerance was enhanced i. p.i.ary transgeni. li.es because of i.creased unsaturated fatty aci. concentrati.n i. thei. li.i.s. The greatest content of 18：2 and 18：3 fatty aci.s i. p.i.ary transgeni. p.ants was observed for li.es 2 （73%） and 3 （41%）. The i.fluence of γ-ami.obutyri. typ.-A (GABAA) recep.ors agoni.t (musci.ol hydrobromi.e, 0.1 μg/0.5 μl) i.jecti.ns i.to the ri.ht or left basolateral amygdala (BLA) on the behavi.r of hi.h-anxi.ty (HA) and low-anxi.ty (LA) rats subjected to the elevated p.us-maze (Ep.) test was i.vesti.ated. Anxi.lyti.-li.e effects (i.crease of op.n-arm entri.s and op.n-arm ti.e) was revealed only after admi.i.trati.n of musci.ol i.to the left (but not ri.ht) amygdala of HA ani.als. No effect was observed up.n admi.i.trati.n of musci.ol to LA rats. These fi.di.gs suggest an i.p.rtant role i. anxi.ty regulati.n of the amygdalar GABA levels, and the assumed GABA hemi.p.eri. laterali.ati.n.
