Prevalence of Female Sexual Dysfunction among Women with Pelvic Organ Prolapse Diagnosed by Pisq-12 and Related Factors in hung vuong hospital, Vietnam

Pelvic organ prolapsed is a common problem today, and it has been gradually increasing because of the longevity of women. Pelvic organ prolapse can result in negative psychological feelings that affect on women’s sexual activity. Methods: There is a cross-sectional study on sexual dysfunction in 296 women with pelvic organ prolapse grade II and III followed up at gynecological-pelvic floor unit of hung vuong hospital from 09/2017 to 06/2018. Results: The prevalence of female sexual dysfunction in PISQ-12 was 76.4% and 95% CI [71.6 - 81.2]. The rate of female sexual dysfunction in turn is: 1) Behavioral-Emotional: 93.6% 95% CI [90.8 - 96.4]. 2) Physiology: 62.2% CI 95% [56.7 - 67.7]. 3) Relationship to partner: 89.5% 95% CI [86.0 - 93.0]. Factor related to sexual dysfunction in women with pelvic organs (p < 0.05) is general sexual dysfunction: 1) Age group: women over age 55 increased generally the risk of sexual dysfunction, OR = 5.89, 95% CI [1.38 - 25.20]. 2) Diabetes mellitus increased the risk of sexual dysfunction with OR = 5.03, 95% CI [1.42 - 17.82]. 3) Patients with previous abortions reduced the risk of sexual dysfunction with OR = 0.49 95% CI [0.27 - 0.90]. Conclusion: Research on quality of life in pelvic organ prolapse should be considered more in the future.

Acute fatty liver of pregnancy (AFLP) is a rare disease in Vietnam. Diagnosis by recorded literature is often difficult to distinguish from viral hepatitis, paraplegia, or bile duct disease, so AFLP diagnosis is often delayed. The prevalence of hepatitis B in Vietnam in pregnant women is estimated at 10% REF _Ref494526757 \r \h [1], preeclampsia is estimated at 0.2% REF _Ref494526760 \r \h [2]. A case pregnant woman has 35.5-week gestational age with AFLP, who was safely delivered both mother and infant at hung vuong hospital, Vietnam. A careful history and physical examination, in conjunction with compatible laboratory and ultrasound imaging results, are often sufficient to make the diagnosis, and liver biopsy is rarely indicated. Intensive adjuvant therapy and rapid birth control are essential for maternal and fetal outcomes.

In this work we consider a mechanism for mass creation based on the periodicity condition dictated from the compactification of extradimensions. It is shown that the existence and the compactification of extradimensions are the origin for creating particle mass in ordinary 4-dimensional space-time. Mass of Higgs particles themselves would be also originated from the geometric topology of extradimensions.

Background: The rate of uterus is successfully conserved following the treatment of scar pregnancy which is high so pregnancy outcome following caesarean scar ectopics is getting more and more attention. Objectives: To assess pregnancy course and outcome after conservative treatment of cesarean scar pregnancy. Methods: A retrospective case series of 40 patients become pregnancy after conservative treatment of cesarean scar pregnancy by Foley or Methotrexate and aspiration. Patients in present study were treated at hung vuong and Tu Du hospital between 2015 and 2017. A telephone follow-up was conducted after cesarean scar pregnancy (CSP) treatment. The outcomes of these subsequent pregnancies and mode of delivery were all recorded. Results: In 40 pregnancies, there are 22 cases of intrauterine pregnancy with childbirth (55%);all babies were born healthy, with no complications recorded in pregnancy. 12 Women had recurrent scar ectopic (30%). There were 2 abortion cases, 2 cases of ectopic pregnancy, and 2 cases of early miscarriage. Conclusions: Our study shows that reproductive outcomes following treatment of caesarean scar ectopic pregnancies are favourable. The risk of recurrent caesarean scar ectopic pregnancy is a concern.

-Purpose: To evaluate early visual, refractive and aberrometric outcomes after wave front-guided LASIK for the correction of low to moderate myopia and myopic astigmat is musing the excimer laser platform Advanced Custom Vue. Methods: A prospective, non-comparative study in 100 myopic eyes of 50 patients evaluating LASIK results over a period of 3 months. Main outcome variables included visual acuity, refraction, total higher-order aberrations (HOAs), spherical aberration (SA) and coma-like aberration. The surgery was performed using the VISX STAR S4 (Johnson and Johnson Vision) excimer laser and a wave front-guided ablation designed according to the iDesign aberrometer data (Johnson and Johnson Vision). Results: Mean preoperative sphere decreased from -4.07 ± 1.78 D to 0.32 ± 0.30 D at 3 months after surgery. Mean preoperative cylinder was reduced from -1.09 ± 0.88 D to -0.26 ± 0.28 D after the complete follow-up. Postoperative uncorrected distance visual acuity (UDVA) was 0.00 logMAR (20/20) or better in 100% of eyes, and 65.3% of eyes reached an UDVA of -0.20 logMAR (20/12.5) or better (p < 0.05). For a 6-mm pupil, the root mean square (RMS) for total ocular HOAs increased with surgery by 0.03 μm (p = 0.050), whereas the coma-like RMS increased by 0.05 μm (p < 0.001). The change in spherical aberration was +0.08 μm (p < 0.001). Conclusion: Wavefront-guided LASIK using the new generation excimer laser platform Advanced Custom Vue is safe and effective for treating myopia and myopic astigmatism, minimizing the postoperative level of HOAs.

1. Forty-seven cases of acute pancreatitis admitted to the Shanghai hung Jen hospital from January 1, 1951 to December 31, 1952 are analyzed.2. Acute pancreatitis is a common disease. It accounts for about 1.6 per cent of the total admissions to the surgical department of our hospital. Among acute abdominal diseases it ranks fourth in incidence, after acute appendicitis, acute intestinal obstruction and acute cholecystitis.3. Serum amylase determination for the diagnosis of acute pancreatitis is discussed. If serum amylase is above 500 units, the diagnosis of acute pancreatitis is established. 4. Conservative treatment for acute pancreatitis is the method of choice, but under certain conditions surgery is also of definite value.5. Six illustrative cases are reported.
