Ischemic stroke is a secondary cause of mortality worldwide,imposing considerable medical and economic burdens on *** vesicles,serving as natural nanocarriers for drug delivery,exhibit excellent biocompatibility in vivo and have significant advantages in the management of ischemic ***,the uncertain distribution and rapid clearance of extracellular vesicles impede their delivery *** utilizing membrane decoration or by encapsulating therapeutic cargo within extracellular vesicles,their delivery efficacy may be greatly ***,previous studies have indicated that microvesicles,a subset of large-sized extracellular vesicles,can transport mitochondria to neighboring cells,thereby aiding in the restoration of mitochondrial function post-ischemic *** extracellular vesicles have also demonstrated the capability to transfer mitochondrial components,such as proteins or deoxyribonucleic acid,or their sub-components,for extracellular vesicle-based ischemic stroke *** this review,we undertake a comparative analysis of the isolation techniques employed for extracellular vesicles and present an overview of the current dominant extracellular vesicle modification *** the complex facets of treating ischemic stroke,we also delineate various extracellular vesicle modification approaches which are suited to different facets of the treatment ***,given the burgeoning interest in mitochondrial delivery,we delved into the feasibility and existing research findings on the transportation of mitochondrial fractions or intact mitochondria through small extracellular vesicles and microvesicles to offer a fresh perspective on ischemic stroke therapy.

Assessment of Secondary Mountain Hazards along a Section of the Dujiangyan Wenchuan Highway

Conducting a hazard assessment for secondary mountain hazards is the technical basis for reconstructing destroyed highways and for disaster *** is necessary to consider the role and influence of structural engineering measures as an important assessment *** this study,based on six substantial field investigations conducted between July 2008 and July 2012,a 2 km wide zone along both sides of the Dujiangyan Wenchuan(Du Wen) Highway was selected as the study *** units and small watersheds in the study area were extracted with GIS software and used as basic assessment *** field investigations,remote sensing surveys and experimental analysis,a structural engineering effectiveness assessment was conducted using the technique of principal component *** results showed the following:1) A total of 491 collapses,12 landslides,32 slope debris flows and 17 gully debris flows were scatted across the study *** total overall areal density of all mountain hazards was 25.7%.The distribution of secondary hazards was influenced mainly by seismic intensity,active fault zones,lithology,slope and *** than 70% of secondary hazards occurred in zones with a seismic intensity of XI,a distance to the fault zone of between 0 and 25 km,a slope between 25° and 50°,and an altitude of between 1,000 m and 1,800 m.2) Different structural engineering measures play different roles and effects in controlling different types and scales of secondary mountain hazards.3) With a secondary mountain hazard area of 128.1 km2and an areal density of 34.9%,medium,high and very high hazard zones accounted for 74% of the study area and were located on the high,steep slopes along both sides of the *** low hazard zone was located mainly in the valley floor,on gentle slope platforms and at locations 1.5 km away from the highway the hazard area was 45 km2and the areal density was 3.3%.4) The methodology for hazard assessment of secondary mountain

Aqueous zinc-ion batteries （AZIBs） are fundamentally challenged by the instability of the electrode/electrolyte interface,predominantly due to irreversible zinc （Zn） deposition and hydrogen ***,the intricate mechanisms behind the electrochemical discrepancies induced by interfacial Zn2+-solvation and deposition behavior demand comprehensive *** molecules endowed with special functional groups （such as hydroxyl,carboxyl,etc.） have the potential to significantly optimize the solvation structure of Zn2+and regulate the interfacial electric double layer （EDL）.By increasing nucleation overpotential and decreasing interfacial free energy,these functional groups facilitate a lower critical nucleation radius,thereby forming an asymptotic nucleation model to promote uniform Zn ***,this study presents a pioneering approach by introducing trace amounts of n-butanol as solvation regulators to engineer the homogenized Zn （H-Zn） anode with a uniform and dense *** interfacial reaction and structure evolution are explored by in/ex-situ experimental techniques,indicating that the H-Zn anode exhibits dendrite-free growth,no by-products,and weak hydrogen evolution,in sharp contrast to the bare ***,the H-Zn anode achieves a remarkable Zn utilization rate of approximately 20% and simultaneously sustains a prolonged cycle life exceeding 500 ***,the H-Zn//NH4V4O10（NVO） full battery showcases exceptional cycle stability,retaining 95.04%capacity retention after 400 cycles at a large current density of 5 A *** study enlightens solvation-regulated additives to develop Zn anode with superior utilization efficiency and extended operational lifespan.

Weighted total least squares(WTLS)have been regarded as the standard tool for the errors-in-variables(EIV)model in which all the elements in the observation vector and the coefficient matrix are contaminated with random ***,in many geodetic applications,some elements are error-free and some random observations appear repeatedly in different positions in the augmented coefficient *** is called the linear structured EIV(LSEIV)*** kinds of methods are proposed for the LSEIV model from functional and stochastic *** the one hand,the functional part of the LSEIV model is modified into the errors-in-observations(EIO)*** the other hand,the stochastic model is modified by applying the Moore-Penrose inverse of the cofactor *** algorithms are derived through the Lagrange multipliers method and linear *** estimation principles and iterative formula of the parameters are proven to be *** first-order approximate variance-covariance matrix(VCM)of the parameters is also derived.A numerical example is given to compare the performances of our proposed three algorithms with the STLS ***,the least squares(LS),total least squares(TLS)and linear structured weighted total least squares(LSWTLS)solutions are compared and the accuracy evaluation formula is proven to be feasible and ***,the LSWTLS is applied to the field of deformation analysis,which yields a better result than the traditional LS and TLS estimations.

Hard carbon （HC） has been considered as promising anode material for sodium-ion batteries （SIBs）.The optimization of hard carbon’s microstructure and solid electrolyte interface （SEI） property are demonstrated effective in enhancing the Na+storage capability,however,a one-step regulation strategy to achieve simultaneous multi-scale structures optimization is highly ***,we have systematically investigated the effects of boron doping on hard carbon’s microstructure and interface chemistry.A variety of structure characterizations show that appropriate amount of boron doping can increase the size of closed pores via rearrangement of carbon layers with improved graphitization degree,which provides more Na+storage ***-situ Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy/electrochemical impedance spectroscopy （FTIR/EIS） and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy （XPS） analysis demonstrate the presence of more BC3and less B–C–O structures that result in enhanced ion diffusion kinetics and the formation of inorganic rich and robust SEI,which leads to facilitated charge transfer and excellent rate *** a result,the hard carbon anode with optimized boron doping content exhibits enhanced rate and cycling *** general,this work unravels the critical role of boron doping in optimizing the pore structure,interface chemistry and diffusion kinetics of hard carbon,which enables rational design of sodium-ion battery anode with enhanced Na+storage performance.

High-entropy materials represent a new category of high-performance materials,first proposed in 2004 and extensively investigated by researchers over the past two *** definition of high-entropy materials has continuously *** the last ten years,the discovery of an increasing number of high-entropy materials has led to significant advancements in their utilization in energy storage,electrocatalysis,and related domains,accompanied by a rise in techniques for fabricating high-entropy electrode ***,the research emphasis has shifted from solely improving the performance of high-entropy materials toward exploring their reaction mechanisms and adopting cleaner preparation ***,the current definition of high-entropy materials remains relatively vague,and the preparation method of high-entropy materials is based on the preparation method of single metal/low-or medium-entropy *** should be noted that not all methods applicable to single metal/low-or medium-entropy materials can be directly applied to high-entropy *** this review,the definition and development of high-entropy materials are briefly ***,the classification of high-entropy electrode materials is presented,followed by a discussion of their applications in energy storage and catalysis from the perspective of synthesis ***,an evaluation of the advantages and disadvantages of various synthesis methods in the production process of different high-entropy materials is provided,along with a proposal for potential future development directions for high-entropy materials.

Lowering the synthesis temperature of boron nitride nanotubes(BNNTs)is crucial for their *** primary reason for adopting a high temperature is to enable the effective activation of highmelting-point solid *** this study,we developed a novel approach for efficiently activating boron by introducing alkali metal compounds into the conventional MgO–B *** approach can be adopted to form various low-melting-point AM–Mg–B–O growth *** growth systems have improved catalytic capability and reactivity even under low-temperature conditions,facilitating the synthesis of BNNTs at temperatures as low as 850℃.In addition,molecular dynamics simulations based on density functional theory theoretically demonstrate that the systems maintain a liquid state at low temperatures and interact with N atoms to form BN *** findings offer novel insights into the design of boron activation and are expected to facilitate research on the low-temperature synthesis of BNNTs.

Steel and steel-concrete composite girders are two types of girders commonly used for long-span bridges. However, practice has shown that the two types of girders have some drawbacks. For steel girders, the orthotropic steel deck (OSD) is vulnerable to fatigue cracking and the asphalt overlay is susceptible to damage such as rutting and pot holes. While for steel-concrete composite girders, the concrete deck is generally thick and heavy, and the deck is prone to cracking because of its low tensile strength and high creep. Thus, to improve the serviceability and durability of girders for long-span bridges, three new types of steel-UHPC lightweight composite bridge girders are proposed, where UHPC denotes ultra-high performance concrete. The first two types consist of an OSD and a thin UHPC layer while the third type consists of a steel beam and a UHPC waffle deck. Due to excellent mechanical behaviors and impressive durability of UHPC, the steel-UHPC composite girders have the advantages of light weight, high strength, low creep coefficient, low risk of cracking, and excellent durability, making them competitive alternatives for long-span bridges. To date, the proposed steel-UHPC composite girders have been applied to 14 real bridges in China. It is expected that the application of the new steel-UHPC composite girders on long-span bridges will have a promising future.

Oil spill monitoring in remote sensing field has become a very popular technology to detect the spatial distribution of polluted ***,previous studies mainly focus on the supervised detection technologies,which requires a large number of high-quality training *** solve this problem,we propose a self-supervised learning method to learn the deep neural network from unlabelled hyperspectral data for oil spill detection,which consists of three parts:data augmentation,unsupervised deep feature learning,and oil spill detection ***,the original image is augmented with spectral and spatial transformation to improve robustness of the self-supervised ***,the deep neural networks are trained on the augmented data without label information to produce the high-level semantic ***,the pre-trained parameters are transferred to establish a neural network classifier to obtain the detection result,where a contrastive loss is developed to fine-tune the learned parameters so as to improve the generalization ability of the proposed *** performed on ten oil spill datasets reveal that the proposed method obtains promising detection performance with respect to other state-of-the-art hyperspectral detection approaches.
