The spiking neural network(SNN),closely inspired by the human brain,is one of the most powerful platforms to enable highly efficient,low cost,and robust neuromorphic computations in hardware using traditional or emerging electron devices within an integrated *** the hardware implementation,the building of artificial spiking neurons is fundamental for constructing the whole ***,with the slowing down of Moore’s Law,the traditional complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor(CMOS)technology is gradually fading and is unable to meet the growing needs of neuromorphic ***,the existing artificial neuron circuits are complex owing to the limited bio-plausibility of CMOS *** with volatile threshold switching(TS)behaviors and rich dynamics are promising candidates to emulate the biological spiking neurons beyond the CMOS technology and build high-efficient neuromorphic ***,the state-of-the-art about the fundamental knowledge of SNNs is ***,we review the implementation of TS memristor-based neurons and their systems,and point out the challenges that should be further considered from devices to circuits in the system *** hope that this review could provide clues and be helpful for the future development of neuromorphic computing with memristors.

Different aspects of cognitive function in adult patients with moyamoya disease and its clinical subtypes

Opposite Sex Contact and Isolation: A Novel Depression/Anxiety Model

To mimic human mood disorders, traditional chronic stresses and social defeat stress have been developed and widely applied. However, these active stresses do not mimic the emotional flaws induced by stresses, and their input levels vary greatly. Also, emotional stresses resulting from social unobtainability remain largely elusive due to the lack of useful animal models. In this study, we developed a mouse model named ‘‘opposite sex contact and isolation’’(OSCI) and found that OSCI induced significant social avoidance, anhedonia, and anxiety. These behavioral defects developed differently after 7 days of OSCI. The social avoidance behavior was self-curable while anxiety gradually worsened but was alleviated by re-pairing with the same female partner. Corresponding to the behavior changes, the plasma corticosterone and phosphorylated c AMP response element binding protein levels were decreased in the nucleus accumbens of the mice that experienced isolation. Together,this study has developed a novel strategy for depression/anxiety modeling and shows that OSCI may be a useful tool for studying the lovelorn/lovesick type of depression.

Climatology and seasonal variability of satellite-derived chlorophyll a around the Shandong Peninsula

The chlorophyll a(Chl a)is an important indicator of marine *** spatiotemporal variation of the Chl a greatly aff ects the mariculture and marine ranching in coastal waters of the Shandong *** the current study,the climatology and seasonal variability of surface Chl-a concentration around the Shandong Peninsula are investigated based on 16 years(December 2002-November 2018)of satellite *** results indicate that the annual mean Chl-a concentration is greater in the Bohai Sea than in the Yellow Sea and decreases from coastal waters to off shore *** highest Chl-a concentrations are found in Laizhou Bay(4.2-8.0 mg/m^(3)),Haizhou Bay(4.2-5.9 mg/m^(3))and the northeast coast of the Shandong Peninsula(4.4-5.0 mg/m^(3)),resulting from the combined eff ects of the intense riverine input and long residence time caused by the concave shape of the *** seasonal Chl-a concentration shows a significant spatial *** Chl-a concentrations in these three subregions generally exhibit an annual maximum in August/September,due to the combined eff ects of sea surface temperature,river discharge and sea surface *** the southeast coast region,however,the Chl-a concentration is lowest throughout the year and reaches a maximum in February with a minimum in July,forced by the seasonal evolution of the Yellow Sea Cold Water and monsoon *** interannual Chl-a concentration trends vary among regions and *** are significant increasing trends over a large area around Haizhou Bay from winter to summer,which are mainly caused by the rising sea surface temperature and *** other coastal areas,the Chl-a concentration shows decreasing trends,which are clearest in summer and induced by the weakening land *** study highlights the differences in the Chl-a dynamics among regions around the Shandong Peninsula and is helpful for further studies of coupled physical-ecological-human interactions at multiple scal

Between Jan. 1989 and Feb. 1990, 259 samples of air （2—15 m above the ground） were collected in five regions of different ecological environments in the northwest of China for measuring the concentration and isotopic ratios of the atmospheric CO2. The results are reported and it is proposed that the δ18O of the atmospheric CO2 can be used as an indicator of the CO2 contamination from human source.

An Epigenetic Role for Disrupted Paternal Gene Expression in Postzygotic Seed Abortion in Arabidopsis Interspecific Hybrids

Interspecific hybrids often increase the levels of heterozygosity and hybrid vigor, but some interspecific hybrid seeds are aborted shortly after fertilization. The mechanism behind this postzygotic seed abortion is poorly understood. Here, we report genome-wide analysis of allelic expression changes in developing siliques and seeds in three F1 interspecific crosses between Arabidopsis thaliana （Col, Ler, or C24） and Arabidopsis arenosa. The majority of maternally expressed genes （MEGs） were shared among all three F1 interspecific crosses, whereas ~90% of 272 paternally expressed genes （PEGs） were found only in one or two F1 crosses, suggesting a role for disrupted paternal gene expression in seed abortion that varies in different crosses. Consistent with this notion, 12 PEGs in the infertile interspecific hybrids matched MEGs in fertile intraspecific hybrids. This disruption of PEGs in the interspecific hybrids was consistent with the upregulation of the genes in the paternal-excess interploidy cross （2X6） between a diploid mother and a hexaploid father, leading to the seed abortion. Moreover, a subset of PEGs in the interspecific crosses were also upregulated in the intraspecific hybrid metlXWT or meaXWT, in which the mutant of MET1 （DNA METHYL TRANSFERASE1） or MEDEA, a Polycomb Repressive Complex2 gene, was used as the maternal parent. These data suggest that maternal epigenetic factors and paternal gene expression play important roles in the postzygotic seed abortion in interspecific hybrids or neo-allopolyploids.

Dear Editor,Coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)is caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)infection,which induces multiple cardiovascular complications including acute myocardial injury resulting from acute coronary syndrome,myocarditis,stress-cardiomyopathy,arrhythmias,cardiogenic shock,and cardiac *** incidence of myocardial injury in COVID-19 patients was up to 20%or higher in the subpopulation with existing cardiovascular diseases,accounting for 69.4%of mortality.1 Although the presence of angiotensin-converting enzyme 2(ACE2)in cardiomyocytes could result in viral myocarditis in COVID-19 patients,the cardiopathology involved in COVID-19 is still unclear.

The Conditions and Problems of Software Industry in Kathmandu

The information technology (IT) has the potentiality to narrow the economic gap between the advanced and the developing countries because of the less equipment than other industries. Although Nepal is one of the poorest countries with insufficient infrastructures, some software companies are trying to go out on the international market. In this paper, we focus on the possibility of business success of Nepali software industry and the problems to be solved for that purpose. Our approach is the way to go to the field, to watch the miscellaneous phenomena, to interview with the parties concerned and to construct the story. As the result we know that the biggest problem for the Nepali software industry is not the technical situation of software science but the lack of the real experiences of the business.

OSL chronology of a Palaeolithic site in a humid subtropical mountainous area of southeast China

The timing of Palaeolithic human activities in South China is still controversial because of the lack of a reliable chronology of archaeological *** Longdengshan Palaeolithic site(LPS),located close to the Wuyi Mountain of South China,represents the first discovered and scientifically excavated Middle Palaeolithic site in the Fujian *** site is of considerable significance for studying the diffusion and cultural connotation of early Homo sapiens in southern *** this study,we present optically stimulated luminescence(OSL)ages obtained from medium-grained quartz collected at the *** single-aliquot regenerative-dose measurements of red soil deposits collected at the same site yielded internally and stratigraphically consistent ages and similar errors,indicating a potential ability of the technique,and also reflecting the influence of various sedimentary facies on the test *** results indicate that the 38–63µm quartz grains were generally partially-bleached and had large values of over-dispersion in the palaeo-reticulated laterites of west *** samples yielded unsatisfactory results,suggesting that the degree of bleaching of diluvial and alluvial deposits should be properly assessed before *** did not detect any enrichment/depletion of U,Th and radioactive *** effect of chemical weathering on the dose rate estimation was ***,we used a central age model and the maximum age model to calculate the age of two samples,respectively,and the minimum age model to calculate the ages of the rest of the *** OSL ages of the samples ranged from 27.09±2.30 ka to 54.65±7.39 ka for the 38–63µm quartz size fraction,and roughly corresponded to the Marine Isotope Stage *** addition,three ages out of five are based on the calculation of minimum ages in this research,which needs to be further verified by other dating methods.
