Local actors appear as inseparable components of the integrated flood risk mitigation strategy in *** this fact,this study examined the long-term improvement in precautions taken by commune authorities and households between two major floods in 1999 and 2017 by applying both quantitative and qualitative *** flood-prone villages were selected for a survey;one in a rural area and the other in a suburban area of Thua Thien hue Province,central *** findings indicate that most villagers doubted the structural works’efficacy and were dissatisfied with the current efforts of local ***’self-preparation thus became the decisive factor in mitigating *** most households have paid greater attention to flood precautions in 2017,others seem to be ***-related barriers were the root causes restraining households in both rural and suburban *** suburban riverine residents were further identified as vulnerable by their limitations in upgrading structural measures,which was ascribed to the inconsistency in the ancient town’s preservation *** multidimensional comparison,in terms of vulnerability,emphasized the importance of space-function links in the suburb and the contradictions of different policy initiatives,such as landscape rehabilitation,disaster prevention,and livelihood maintenance.

Background： Within the highly bio-diverse ‘Northern Vietnam Lowland Rain Forests Ecoregion＇ only small, and mostly highly modified forestlands persist within vast exotic-species plantations. The aim of this study was to elucidate vegetation patterns of a secondary hillside rainforest remnant（elevation 120–330 m, 76 ha） as an outcome of natural processes, and anthropogenic processes linked to changing forest ***： In the rainforest remnant tree species and various bio-physical parameters（relating to soils and terrain）were surveyed on forty 20 m × 20 m sized plots. The forest＇s vegetation patterns and tree diversity were analysed using dendrograms, canonical correspondence analysis, and other statistical ***： Forest tree species richness was high（172 in the survey, 94 per hectare）, including many endemic species（〉16%; some recently described）. Vegetation patterns and diversity were largely explained by topography, with colline/sub-montane species present mainly along hillside ridges, and lowland/humid-tropical species predominant on lower slopes. Scarcity of high-value timber species reflected past logging, whereas abundance of light-demanding species, and species valued for fruits, provided evidence of human-aided forest restoration and ‘enrichment＇ in terms of useful trees. Exhaustion of sought-after forest products, and decreasing appreciation of non-wood products concurred with further encroachment of exotic plantations in between 2010 and 2015. This article explores the integration of Eastern and Western perspectives on the use of dexamethasone and N-acetylcysteine as premedications in transarterial chemoembolization for hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).By examining key concerns raised by Western researchers,particularly regarding the different etiologies of liver cirrhosis,and contrasting them with robust clinical data from Asia,this article highlights the necessity for region-specific research and proposes future directions for global HCC management.

With the rapid growth of the autonomous system,deep learning has become integral parts to enumerate applications especially in the case of healthcare *** body vertebrae are the longest and complex parts of the human *** are numerous kinds of conditions such as scoliosis,vertebra degeneration,and vertebrate disc spacing that are related to the human body vertebrae or spine or *** detection of these problems is very important otherwise patients will suffer from a disease for a *** this proposed system,we developed an autonomous system that detects lumbar implants and diagnoses scoliosis from the modified Vietnamese x-ray *** applied two different approaches including pre-trained APIs and transfer learning with their pre-trained models due to the unavailability of sufficient x-ray medical *** results show that transfer learning is suitable for the modified Vietnamese x-ray imaging data as compared to the pre-trained API ***,we also explored and analyzed four transfer learning models and two pre-trained API models with our datasets in terms of accuracy,sensitivity,and specificity.

In recent years,water for agricultural production gradually became a significant challenge in the context of climate change in *** solutions are required,which consider the use of resources for both human needs and ecology,and that account for the equitable distribution and the livelihood of the farmers now and in the *** particular,the farmers in the province of Quang Nam faring water shortage in the cultivation of paddy in the summer-autumn *** arise regarding the sharing of the water between the farmers,the drinking water company and the hydropower *** the context of climate change,the water shortage is expected to increase in the *** article presents the results of participatory action research (PAR) approach to develop a local level mechanism for water sharing,in which stakeholders actively *** sharing mechanism was developed,envisioning a sustainable solution for inclusive water *** mechanism was successfully implemented in two cases,one at commune level (Tho stream) and one at the district level (Mo stream).The participatory approach proved to be successful in setting up a broadly acceptable mechanism that will need to be further incorporated in the institutional set-up.

Objective:To evaluate the impact of prolonged post-thaw embryos culture on pregnancy outcome during frozen embryo transfer ***:This prospective cohort study evaluated 324 thaw transfer cycles with 819 embryos from 269 patients at the Center for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility of hue university Hospital in *** frozen embryo transfer cycles were divided into two groups at the time of thawing:the short culture group(2-hour post-thaw culture)and the overnight culture group(overnight culture for 18 h)before the embryo was transferred into the *** rates of embryo intact,grade A embryo at frozen and transfer time and continuing cleavage were *** clinical outcomes including serum beta-human chorionic gonadotropin,clinical pregnancy and implantation rate were evaluated after 14 days,4 weeks,6 weeks,respectively,after embryo ***:Human chorionic gonadotropin positive occurred in 39.5%of patients in the short culture group compared to 25.9%in the overnight culture group with risk difference(RD)=13.6%,relative risk(RR)=1.343,95%confidence interval(CI)1.085-1.663,P<*** pregnancy rate of the short culture group and overnight culture group was 33.3%and 24.1%,respectively(RD=9.2%,RR=1.242,95%CI 0.996-1.549,P=0.06)and the implantation rate in the short culture group and overnight culture group was 16.5%and 11.0%,respectively(RD=5.5%,RR=1.244,95%CI 1.046-1.479,P=0.01).In women of advanced age(≥35 years)and women who received 3 embryos,pregnancy outcomes were found to be significantly(P<0.05)higher in the short culture than in the overnight culture ***:The prolonged post-thaw culture period does not increase pregnancy outcome in comparison with the short culture.

Myo-inositol versus metformin effects on clinical features, endocrine and metabolic profiles in infertile women with polycystic ovary syndrome: A randomized controlled trial

Objective:To compare the effectiveness of inositol and metformin on the clinical characteristics,and endocrine and metabolic profiles of infertile polycystic ovarian syndrome(PCOS)women from ***:From June 2018 to August 2022,a randomized trial was undertaken at the hue Center for Endocrinology and Reproduction on infertile women aged 18 to 40 years with polycystic ovarian *** clinical,endocrine,and metabolic features of these individuals were assessed before and after 3 months of treatment with 2 g of inositol or 1700 mg of metformin per *** pregnancy rates,adverse effects,and tolerance of inositol were ***:The study included 171 infertile PCOS women who were eligible to participate and took part in the baseline assessment,of whom 132 women participated in data analysis after 3 *** metformin treatment,42.1%of women with oligomenorrhea experienced regular *** significantly lowered body mass index(BMI),waist circumference and testosterone levels,but had no effect on other clinical characteristics,endocrine profiles,or metabolic profiles.29.2%Of women reported experiencing side effects.21%Of them attained pregnancy,which resulted in 17.1%of live *** the inositol group,the rate of regular cycle increased by 18.2%and the total testosterone concentration significantly *** overweight/obese women with PCOS,inositol significantly decreased weight,BMI,waist and hip circumferences(P<0.05).100%Of women tolerated inositol and continued treatment.18.9%Of them became pregnant,leading to 17%of live ***:Metformin and inositol can improve weight and waist circumference in overweight/obese infertile women with *** is associated with a higher rate of regular menstruation,whereas inositol is associated with a lower rate of adverse *** spontaneous conception,clinical pregnancy,and live birth rates between two groups are comparable.

This work develops asymptotic expansions of systems of partial differential equations associated with multi-scale switching diffusions. The switching process is modeled by using an inhomogeneous continuous- time Markov chain. In the model, there are two small parameters ε and δ. The first one highlights the fast switching, whereas the other delineates the slow diffusion. Assuming that ε and δ are related in that ε = δγ, our results reveal that different values of γ lead to different behaviors of the underlying systems, resulting in different asymptotic expansions. Although our motivation comes from stochastic problems, the approach is mainly analytic and is constructive. The asymptotic series are rigorously justified with error bounds provided. An example is provided to demonstrate the results.
