The first photometric light curve investigation of the NSVS 8294044,V1023 Her,and V1397 Her binary systems is *** used ground-based observations for the NSVS 8294044 system and Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite data for V1023 Her and V1397 *** primary and secondary times of minima were extracted from al the data,and,by collecting the literature,a new ephemeris was computed for each *** fits for the O-C diagrams were conducted using the Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) *** curve solutions were performed using the PHysics Of Eclipsing BinariEs Python code and the MCMC *** systems were found to be contact binary stars based on the fillout factor and mass ratio.V1023 Her showed the O’Connell effect and a cold starspot on the secondary component was required for the light curve *** absolute parameters of the system were estimated based on an empirical relationship between orbital period and *** presented a new T–M equation based on a sample of 428 contact binary systems and found that our three target systems were in good agreement with the *** positions of the systems were also depicted on the M–L,M–R,q–L_(ratio),and M_(tot)–J_(0)diagrams in the logarithmic scales.

Background:In the clinic,practitioners encounter many patients with an abnormal pattern of dense punctate magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)signal in the basal ganglia,a phenomenon known as"cheese sign".This sign is reported as common in cerebrovascular diseases,dementia,and old ***,cheese sign has been speculated to consist of dense perivascular space(PVS).This study aimed to assess the lesion types of cheese sign and analyze the correlation between this sign and vascular disease risk ***:A total of 812 patients from Peking Union medical College Hospital(PUMCH)dementia cohort were *** analyzed the relationship between cheese sign and vascular *** assessing cheese sign and defining its degree,the abnormal punctate signals were classified into basal ganglia hyperintensity(BGH),PVS,lacunae/infarctions and microbleeds,and counted *** type of lesion was rated on a four-level scale,and then the sum was calculated;this total was defined as the cheese sign *** and Age-Related White Matter Changes(ARWMC)scores were used to evaluate the paraventricular,deep,and subcortical gray/white matter ***:A total of 118 patients(14.5%)in this dementia cohort were found to have cheese ***(odds ratio[OR]:1.090,95%confidence interval[CI]:1.064-1.120,P<0.001),hypertension(OR:1.828,95%CI:1.123-2.983,P=0.014),and stroke(OR:1.901,95%CI:1.092-3.259,P=0.025)were risk factors for cheese *** was no significant relationship between diabetes,hyperlipidemia,and cheese *** main components of cheese sign were BGH,PVS,and lacunae/*** proportion of PVS increased with cheese sign ***:The risk factors for cheese sign were hypertension,age,and *** sign consists of BGH,PVS,and lacunae/infarction.

Fibroblast growth factor receptor 1(FGFR1)mutations are associated with congenital hypogonadotropic hypogonadism(CHH)through inheritance or spontaneous *** detected FGFR1 mutations in a Chinese cohort of 210 CHH patients at Peking Union medical College Hospital(Beijing,China)using next-generation and Sanger *** assessed missense variant pathogenicity using six bioinformatics tools and compared clinical features and treatment outcomes between inherited and de novo mutation *** 19 patients with FGFR1 mutations,three were recurrent,and 16 were novel *** of the novel mutations were likely pathogenic according to the American College of medical Genetics and Genomics(ACMG)guidelines,with the prevalent P366L *** majority of FGFR1 mutations was inherited(57.9%),with frameshift mutations exclusive to the de novo mutation *** inherited mutation group had a lower incidence of cryptorchidism,short stature,and skeletal *** the inherited mutation group,luteinizing hormone(LH)levels were 0.5 IU l−1,follicle-stimulating hormone(FSH)levels were 1.0 IU l−1,and testosterone levels were 1.3 nmol l−*** contrast,the de novo group had LH levels of 0.2 IU l−1,FSH levels of 0.5 IU l−1,and testosterone levels of 0.9 nmol l−1,indicating milder hypothalamus–pituitary–gonadal axis(HPGA)functional deficiency in the inherited *** inherited mutation group showed a tendency toward higher spermatogenesis *** conclusion,this study underscores the predominance of inherited FGFR1 mutations and their association with milder HPGA dysfunction compared to de novo mutations,contributing to our understanding of the genetic and clinical aspects of FGFR1 mutations.

Background and Aims:Age-related mosaic chromosomal alterations(mCAs)detected from genotyping of blood-de-rived DNA are structural somatic variants that indicate clonal *** study aimed to investigate whether mCAs contribute to the risk of cirrhosis and modify the effect of a polygenic risk score(PRS)on cirrhosis risk ***:mCA call sets of individuals with European ancestry were obtained from the UK *** PRS was constructed based on 12 susceptible single-nucleotide poly-morphisms for *** proportional hazard models were applied to evaluate the associations between mCAs and cirrhosis ***:Among 448,645 individuals with a median follow-up of 12.5 years,we identified 2,681 cas-es of cirrhosis,1,775 cases of compensated cirrhosis,and 1,706 cases of decompensated *** to non-carriers,individuals with copy-neutral loss of heterozygosity mCAs had a significantly increased risk of cirrhosis(hazard ratio(HR)1.42,95%confidence interval(CI)1.12-1.81).This risk was higher in patients with expanded cell fractions of mCAs(cell fractions≥10%*** fractions<10%),especially for the risk of decompensated cirrhosis(HR 2.03[95%CI 1.09-3.78]vs.1.14[0.80-1.64]).In comparison to non-carriers of mCAs with low genetic risk,individuals with expanded copy-neutral loss of heterozygosity and high genetic risk showed the highest cirrhosis risk(HR5.39[95%CI 2.41-12.07]).Conclusions:The presence of mCAs is associated with increased susceptibility to cirrhosis risk and could be combined with PRS for personalized cirrhosis risk stratification.
