The built-up effect of inorganic compounds containing more active metal ions, such as Ca^2＋ , Al^3＋ , Cu^2＋ , and Zn^2＋ , as additives adding to phosphorus-containing flame retarding systems in suppression of smoke was studied. The data presented herein suggested that the amount of smoke in the burning process can be better suppressed after the cotton fabric finishing with built-up system was burnt. Some general principles were identified, and the likely causes of the observed effects were analyzed according to test data.

Increases in the number of cases of identified genetically modified （GM） rice contamination can be traced back to the first Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed （RASFF） in 2006. In response to the lack of reliable detection methods, Decision 2011/884/EU proposed that new screening methods replace Decision 2008/289/EC, to identify all possible GM rice products originating in China. However, the synergy brands （SYBR） Green real-time PCR assay proposed by Decision 2011/884/EU has been shown to lack conformity with other TaqMan methods currently in use. To evaluate the specificity and repeatability of the methods recommended in Decision 2011/884/EU and Decision 2008/289/EC, we collected 74 rice products originating from six countries or districts. The 74 rice samples were tested using the Decision 2011/884/EU and Decision 2008/289/ EC methods. The parallel use of different instruments and reagents were used for testing in parallel, and the results were analyzed statistically. To avoid the limitations of specific laboratories, eight GM organism detection laboratories in China participated in a collaborative trial. In our tests, 24.3% （18/74） of the samples tested were positive with the SYBR Green real-time PCR assay using the Decision 2011/884/EU method, but were negative with the TaqMan real-time PCR assay using the Decision 2011/884/EU and Decision 2008/289/EC methods. Sequencing the PCR-amplified CrylA（b/c） genes in three samples （6, 30 and 43） showed that the products consisted of primer dimers rather than the targeted sequence. The combined experimental results showed that testing for the nopaline synthase gene （NOS） of Agrobacterium tumefasciens terminator and CrylA（b/c） produced false-positive results when the Decision 2011/884/EU method was used. Because of the high rate of false-positive results, the Decision 2011/884/EU SYBR Green method to detect GM rice requires improvement.

ABSTRAC Two new complexes [Cd（2,4＇-bpdc）（DPPZ）]2n·n H2O（1） and [Zn（2,4＇-Hbpdc）2（DPPZ）]· H2O（DPPZ = dipyrido[3,2-a：2＇,3＇-c]phenazine, 2,4＇-H2bpdc = 2,4＇-biphenyldicarboxylic acid） have been hydrothermally synthesized. The structure of complex 1 was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction diffraction and further characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectrum, powder X-ray diffraction（XRD） and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Complex 1 has 1D chains, which are further connected by π-π stacking interactions of neighbouring chains, generating a steady 3D supramolecular structure. Complex 2 shows the isolated mononuclear units, which are further extended to a 2D supramolecular layered structure through π-π stacking interactions and hydrogen bonds. Furthermore, complexes 1 and 2 exhibit green photoluminescent properties at room temperature.

In order to develop the applications of ore tailings, the glass ceramics were prepared by using a conventional melting-quenching-sintering process. The phase component, microstructures, magnetic properties and thermal conductivities of the prepared glass ceramics were investigated by using X-ray diffractometer, scanning electron microscopy, vibrating sample magnetometer and thermophysical properties tester, respectively. The results show that orthorhombic olivine-type phase and triclinic sunstone-type phase formed when the glass was annealed at 700 oC, the concentration of olivine-type and sunstone-type phases decreased, the spinel-type cubic phase occurred and the amount increased when the annealing temperatures increased. The magnetic properties from the cubic spinel ferrites were detected in the glass ceramics, and the related saturation magnetization increased with the annealing temperature increasing. The porous glass ceramics with magnetic property showed much lower thermal conductivity, compared with the non-magnetic porous glass-ceramic and the dense glass-ceramics.

Polyoxyethylene sorbitan monooleate(Tween-80) and oleic acid(OA) with different molar ratios were mixed and spread at air/water interface on subphases with varied pH values by using a Langmuir trough to investigate the laws governing the performance of the two *** surface excess free energy(△G_M^(exc)) of mixed monolayers with various mixed molar ratios at different pH values under the surface pressure of 10 mN/m was analyzed,for the compatibility evaluation of mixtures in the *** results indicated that Tween-80 and OA could be miscible in thermodynamics under almost all the conditions in the experiments,except when the molar ratios of OA were more than 0.5 on the alkaline subphase at pH *** better thermodynamic compatibility between OA and Tween-80 occurred as the surface pressure was 10 mN/m,when the molar ratios of OA were 0.7 and 0.1 respectively in our experiments.

The dimyristoylphosphatidylcholine （DMPC） and a newly isolated surfactin analogue, [Asp1, Glus] surfactin-C16 in mixed monolayer was studied. Surface pressure-molecular area isotherms combined with atomic force microscopy （AFM） were used to probe the interfacial behavior of DMPC and surfactin-C16. The results show that the miscibility between DMPC and surfactin-C 16 is dependent on surfactin molar fraction （Xs） and surface pressure The two components are partially miscible on pure water （pH= 6） when Xs is 0.5, indicating that there exists mutual interactions between two components. AFM images showed similar pattern in surfactin-C16 monolayer and DMPC/surfactin-C 16 （Xs = 0.5） mixed monolayer. Based on the finding it is believed that DMPC would coalescent into surfactin-C 16 surface clusters in the mixed monolayer. Furthermore, the excess free energy of mixing （△ G^（ex）m ） was calculated to investigate the effect of subphase pH on the miscibility of two components in the mixed monolayer. It is found that the △ G^（ex）m was negative on alkaline subphase （pH= 10） when Xs equals to 0.75, indicating the molecular interactions between surfactin and DMPC are attractive at the condition. The results presented here suggest that hydrophobic interactions between surfactin-C 16 and DMPC play an important role in mutual interactions, and the interfacial activity was influenced by the ionization state of polar groups of surfactin-C 16.

Water-dispersed polyurethane (PU) adhesive is a novel and highly efficient adhesive with broad application potential. In this study, the key parameters affecting the synthesis and application of this adhesive were examined, and optimal conditions were identified. The water-dispersed PU adhesive was successfully synthesized, and applied in the fastness test of pigment printing on cotton fabric. The data demonstrated that all the fastnesses of PU adhesive were better than that of the conventional PA one.
