Background:Artemisia vulgaris,a medicinal aromatic plant,is widely used as a food item,tonic pharmaceutical,and co.metic industry additive owing to its antibacterial,antihypertensive,hepatoprotective,antioxidant,and antispasmodic *** the effect of different geographic locations on the chemical co.position and bioactivities of its extracts is ***:Biological activities of essential oils and ethanol extracts of three varieties of Artemisia vulgaris leaves,which are grown in Shanxi province China,were ***:Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry analysis revealed that the main co.ponents of essential oils were terpenes and *** oils and ethanol extract of Artemisia vulgaris leaves possessed good antioxidant activities,and their half maximal inhibitory co.centrations determined using 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl and 2,2’-azinobis-(3-ethylbenzthiazoline-6-sulphonate)assays were 57.0 and 22.9μg/mL,*** essential oils also exhibited remarkable antibacterial activity against three foodborne pathogenic bacterial *** ethanol extract presented a high anticancer activity against the MGC-803 human gastric cancer cell ***:These biological activities were well co.related with the co.position of the extract and EOs,which in turn is affected by the genetic co.position of Artemisia vulgaris and geographic location and diverse climatic co.dition under which it is *** findings demonstrate the remarkable potential of Artemisia vulgaris as a valuable source of antioxidant,antibacterial,and anticancer agents.

Erwinia (E) gum, an extracellular polysaccharide, is co.posed of fuco.e, galatose, gluco.e and glucuronic acid. Its visco.ity behavior was investigated by a low-shear-rate multiball visco.eter and a rotational visco.eter. Its weight-average molecular weight M-w and intrinsic visco.ity [eta] in 0.2 mol/L NaCl aqueous solution were measured by light scattering method at 35 degrees C and visco.etry at 25 degrees C and found to be 1.06 x 10(6) g/mol and 1050 mL/g, respectively, and its aggregates in aqueous solution were proved by gel permeation chromatography (GPC). These results indicated that E gum in water has exceedingly high visco.ity and exhibits Binham fluid behavior, owing to its aggregation. The visco.ity of E gum decreased with increasing temperature, and the turning point appeared at 38 degrees C for dilute solution and 80 degrees C for co.centrated solution suggesting that the aggregates of E gum in water started to disaggregate under these temperatures. In addition, the aggregates can be disrupted by adding either acid or base. The experimental results indicated that the E gum is a good thickening agent, and its fluid behavior is similar to xanthan.

The strategic manipulation of the interaction between a central metal atom and its co.rdinating environment in single-atom catalysts（SACs） is crucial for catalyzing the co.reduction reaction（co.RR）. However, it remains a major challenge. While density-functional theory calculations serve as a powerful tool for catalyst screening, their time-co.suming nature poses limitations. This paper presents a machine learning（ML） model based on easily accessible intrinsic descriptors to enable rapid, co.t-effective, and high-throughput screening of efficient SACs in co.plex systems. Our ML model co.prehensively captures the influences of interactions between 3 and 5d metal centers and 8 C, N-based co.rdination environments on co.RR activity and selectivity. We reveal the electronic origin of the different activity trends observed in early and late transition metals during co.rdination with N atoms. The extreme gradient boosting regression model shows optimal performance in predicting binding energy and limiting potential for both Hco.H and co.production. We co.firm that the product of the electronegativity and the valence electron number of metals, the radius of metals, and the average electronegativity of neighboring co.rdination atoms are the critical intrinsic factors determining co.RR activity. Our developed ML models successfully predict several high-performance SACs beyond the existing database, demonstrating their potential applicability to other systems. This work provides insights into the low-co.t and rational design of high-performance SACs.

Novel design of lubricant-type vacuum distillation process for lube base oils production from hydrocracking tail oil

Dividing-wall co.umns(DWCs)are widely used in the separation of ternary mixtures,but rarely seen in the separation of petroleum *** work develops two novel and energy-efficient designs of lubricant-type vacuum distillation process(LVDP)for the separation of hydroisomerization fractions(HIF)of a hydrocracking tail oil(HTO).First,the HTO hydroisomerization reaction is investigated in an experimental fixed-bed reactor to achieve the optimum liquid HIF by analyzing the impact of the operating co.ditions.A LVDP used for HIF separation is proposed and ***,two thermal co.pling intensified technologies,including side-stream(SC)and dividing-wall co.umn(DWC),are co.bined with the LVDP to develop side-stream vacuum distillation process(SC-LVDP)and dividing-wall co.umn vacuum distillation process(DWC-LVDP).The performance of LVDP,SC-LVDP,and DWC-LVDP are evaluated in terms of energy co.sumption,capital co.t,total annual co.t,product yields,and stripping steam *** results demonstrates that the intensified processes,SC-LVDP and DWC-LVDP significantly decreases the energy co.sumption and capital co.t co.pared with ***-LVDP further decreases in capital co.t due to the removal of the side stripper and narrows the overlap between the third lube oils and fourth lube *** study attempts to co.bine DWC structure into the separation of petroleum fractions,and the proposed approach and the results presented provide an incentive for the industrial implementation of high-quality utilization of HTO through intensified LVDP.

2,4(5)-Dinitroimidazole(2,4(5)-DNI) is an important energetic material, and it is also an important precursor for the preparation of drugs and energetic materials. In this study, the solubility of 2,4(5)-DNI in eleven pure solvents(chlorobenzene, benzene, 1,2-dichloroethane, toluene, water, isopropyl alco.ol,ethyl acetate, acetonitrile, methanol, 1,4-dioxane and acetone) were measured by using a dynamic test method from 278.15 K to 323.15 K under 101.1 kPa. Four solubility models were used to fit the experimental data, which were ideal model, modified Apelblat equation, polynomial empirical equation, and λh equation. Meanwhile, the relative average deviation and root-mean-square deviation between the experimental data and the fitted data were also calculated. Furthermore, the three thermodynamic parameters,i.e., dissolution enthalpy, dissolution entropy and Gibbs energy were obtained based on solubility ***, the crude product of 2,4(5)-DNI was crystallized with acetone as solvent, and the purity of the crystalline product was greater than 99.5%.
