Objective:To investigate the hook effect in the detection of beta2-microglobulin(β2-MG)with different reagents as well as on two fully automated biochemical analyzers and their ***:Using immunoturbidimetric assay forβ2-MG as the research object,β2-MG levels were detected by different concentration gradients ofβ2-microglobulin samples in Liedemann,Mack,and Myriad reagents of three manufacturers on two automatic biochemical analyzers,and the difference of the hook effect was comparatively ***:Leadman reagent showed the hook effect on the Beckman AU5800 automated biochemistry analyzer,while both Maccura and Mindray reagents did not show the hook *** the experiments,we found the limit value of the pre-zone check of Leadman reagent,and changed the parameters of the instrument,when the limit value of the pre-zone check was reached,the instrument automatically diluted the specimen five times and then detected it *** changing the parameters of the instrument,the correlation between the three methods of detecting samples of different concentrations was r>***:Before selecting the application of immunoturbidimetric reagents,we have to carry out the risk assessment of the hook effect and selectively set the parameters of the pre-zone check based on the highest concentration that may occur in the clinic;for the items that may have the hook effect,we have to selectively set the parameters of the pre-zone check when the ratio of average reaction rate and the immediate reaction rate is at the limit value,and the phenomenon of antigen excess may occur,the instrument will carry out automatic dilution before detection,so as to avoid the issuance of erroneous results of high-value samples due to the hook effect.

Objective： Working on seminal plasma acid phosphatase, to explore the mechanism by which acupuncture improves sperm quality （concentration, viability and motility） in infertility patients. Methods： A total of 118 patients received acupuncture-moxibustion treatment. Before and 3, and 6 months after the treatment were detected their seminal plasma acid phosphatase, sperm concentration, sperm viability and sperm motility were measured. Results： The differences between before and after treatments in sperm motility and seminal plasma acid phosphatase levels were statistically significant （P〈0.01）. Conclusion： Acupuncture-moxibustion can improve seminal plasma acid phosphatase levels in infertility patients.

Purpose: To observe the therapeutic effect of needling at Neiguan (PC 6) plus oral administration of mexiletine. Methods: 60 cases of frequent ventricular extrasystole were randomly divided into two groups: a treatment group, and a control group. In the control group, mexiletine was orally administered, and in the treatment group needling at bilateral Neiguan (PC 6) plus oral administration of mexiletine were given. 2 weeks of treatments constituted a therapeutic course. Results: Of the 30 cases in the treatment group, 23 cases were markedly effective, 5 cases improved, and 2 cases failed; while in the control group 16 cases were markedly effective, 8 cases improved, 4 cases failed, and 2 cases aggravated. The total effective rates of 90.3% and 80.0%, respectively in the treatment and control groups showed a very significant difference between the two groups (P<0.01). Conclusion: Needling at bilateral Neiguan (PC 6) may enhance the therapeutic effect for frequent ventricular extrasystole.

Objective:To study the relationship between serum inflammatory response cytokines and the change of plaque properties in patients with H-type hypertension complicated by carotid ***: Patients who were diagnosed with H-type hypertension complicated by carotid atherosclerosis in Yulin hospital of traditional chinese medicine between May 2014 and December 2016 were selected as group A, patients with H-type hypertension complicated by carotid atherosclerosis and normal Hcy levels were selected as group B, patients with carotid atherosclerosis and normal blood pressure levels and Hcy levels were selected as group C, and healthy volunteers during the same period were selected as control group. Serum levels of inflammatory response cytokines and plaque property-related cytokines were ***: Serum Hcy, sICAM-1, MCP-1, YKL-40, IL-6, PTX3, FGF23, MMP9 and Caspase-3 levels of group A, group B and group C were significantly higher than those of group D, serum Hcy, sICAM-1, MCP-1, YKL-40, IL-6, PTX3, FGF23, MMP9 and Caspase-3 levels of group A and group B were significantly higher than those of group C, and serum Hcy, sICAM-1, MCP-1, YKL-40, IL-6, PTX3, FGF23, MMP9 and Caspase-3 levels of group A were significantly higher than those of group B;serum Hcy, sICAM-1, MCP-1, YKL-40, IL-6, PTX3, FGF23, MMP9 and Caspase-3 levels of group A with vulnerable plaques were significantly higher than those of patients with stable plaques. Serum Hcy, sICAM-1, MCP-1, YKL-40 and IL-6 levels of group A were positively correlated with PTX3, FGF23, MMP9 and Caspase-3 ***: Serum inflammatory response cytokine secretion increases in patients with H-type hypertension complicated by carotid atherosclerosis, and it can result in the change in plaque properties and the decrease in stability.

Hepatic arterioportal fistulas(APFs)are common in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).Moreover,correlated with poor prognosis,APFs often complicate antitumor treatments,including transarterial chemoembolization(TACE).AIM To compare the efficacy of ethanol-soaked gelatin sponges(ESG)and microspheres in the management of APFs and their impact on the prognosis of *** Data from patients diagnosed with HCC or hepatic APFs between June 2016 and December 2019 were retrospectively ***,APFs were embolized with ESG(group E)or microspheres(group M)during *** primary outcomes were disease control rate(DCR)and objective response rate(ORR).The secondary outcomes included immediate and first follow-up APF improvement,overall survival(OS),and progression-free survival(PFS).RESULTS Altogether,91 participants were enrolled in the study,comprising 46 in group E and 45 in group *** DCR was 93.5%and 91.1%in groups E and M,respectively(P=0.714).The ORRs were 91.3%and 66.7%in groups E and M,respectively(P=0.004).The APFs improved immediately after the procedure in 43(93.5%)patients in group E and 40(88.9%)patients in group M(P=0.485).After 2 mo,APF improvement was achieved in 37(80.4%)and 33(73.3%)participants in groups E and M,respectively(P=0.421).The OS was 26.2±1.4 and 20.6±1.1 mo in groups E and M,respectively(P=0.004),whereas the PFS was 16.6±1.0 and 13.8±0.7 mo in groups E and M,respectively(P=0.012).CONCLUSION Compared with microspheres,ESG embolization demonstrated a higher ORR and longer OS and PFS in patients of HCC with hepatic APFs.
