Generative AI(GenAI)has witnessed remarkable progress in recent years and demonstrated impressive performance in various generation tasks in different domains such as computer vision and computational *** researchers have attempted to integrate GenAI into visualization framework,leveraging the superior generative capacity for different ***,recent major breakthroughs in GenAI like diffusion models and large language models have also drastically increased the potential of *** a technical perspective,this paper looks back on previous visualization studies leveraging GenAI and discusses the challenges and opportunities for future ***,we cover the applications of different types of GenAI methods including sequence,tabular,spatial and graph generation techniques for different tasks of visualization which we summarize into four major stages:data enhancement,visual mapping generation,stylization and *** each specific visualization sub-task,we illustrate the typical data and concrete GenAI algorithms,aiming to provide in-depth understanding of the state-of-the-art GenAI4VIS techniques and their ***,based on the survey,we discuss three major aspects of challenges and research opportunities including evaluation,dataset,and the gap between end-to-end GenAI methods and *** summarizing different generation algorithms,their current applications and limitations,this paper endeavors to provide useful insights for future GenAI4VIS research.

Understanding the pore water pressure distribution in unsaturated soil is crucial in predicting shallow landslides triggered by rainfall,mainly when dealing with different temporal patterns of rainfall ***,the hydrological response of vegetated slopes,especially three-dimensional(3D)slopes covered with shrubs,under different rainfall patterns remains unclear and requires further *** address this issue,this study adopts a novel 3D numerical model for simulating hydraulic interactions between the root system of the shrub and the surrounding *** series of numerical parametric studies are conducted to investigate the influences of slope inclination,rainfall pattern and rainfall *** rainfall patterns(advanced,bimodal,delayed,and uniform)and two rainfall durations(4-h intense and 168-h mild rainfall)are considered to study the hydrological response of the *** computed results show that 17%higher transpiration-induced suction is found for a steeper slope,which remains even after a short,intense rainfall with a 100-year return *** extreme rainfalls with advanced(PA),bimodal(PB)and uniform(PU)rainfall patterns need to be considered for the short rainfall duration(4 h),while the delayed(PD)and uniform(PU)rainfall patterns are highly recommended for long rainfall durations(168 h).The presence of plants can improve slope stability markedly under extreme rainfall with a short duration(4 h).For the long duration(168 h),the benefit of the plant in preserving pore-water pressure(PWP)and slope stability may not be sufficient.

Graph neural networks have been shown to be very effective in utilizing pairwise relationships across ***,there have been several successful proposals to generalize graph neural networks to hypergraph neural networks to exploit more com-plex *** particular,the hypergraph collaborative networks yield superior results compared to other hypergraph neural net-works for various semi-supervised learning *** collaborative network can provide high quality vertex embeddings and hyperedge embeddings together by formulating them as a joint optimization problem and by using their consistency in reconstructing the given *** this paper,we aim to establish the algorithmic stability of the core layer of the collaborative network and provide generaliz--ation *** analysis sheds light on the design of hypergraph filters in collaborative networks,for instance,how the data and hypergraph filters should be scaled to achieve uniform stability of the learning *** experimental results on real-world datasets are presented to illustrate the theory.

Lithium metal batteries(LMBs)are considered the ideal choice for high volumetric energy density lithium-ion batteries,but uncontrolled lithium deposition poses a significant challenge to the stability of such *** this paper,we introduce a 2.5μm-thick asymmetric and ultrastrong separator,which can induce tissue-like lithium *** asymmetric separator,denoted by utPE@Cu_(2)O,was prepared by selective synthesis of Cu_(2)O nanoparticles on one of the outer surfaces of a nanofibrous(diameter~10 nm)ultrastrong ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene(UHMWPE)*** analysis shows that the lithium deposits have tissue-like morphology,resulting in the symmetric lithium cells assembled using utPE@Cu_(2)O with symmetric Cu_(2)O coating exhibiting stable performance for over 2000 h of *** work demonstrates the feasibility of a facile approach ultrathin separators for the deployment of lithium metal batteries,providing a pathway towards enhanced battery performance and safety.

This work presents simple post-treatment methods to selectively and partially remove the Pd core of Pd-Pt core–shell(Pt@Pd/C)*** proton exchange membrane fuel cell with the post-treated Pt@Pd/C cathode(Pt loading:0.10 mg·cm^(-2))delivers an impressive peak power density of 1.2 W·cm^(-2).The partial removal of Pd core endows an ultrahigh oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)mass activity of 0.32 A·g_(PGM)-1 when normalized to the platinum group metal(PGM)mass,or equivalently 0.55 A·mg_(Pt)^(-1) at 0.9 V measured in a fuel *** post-treatment thickens the Pt shells and mitigates the Pd dissolution during potential *** a result,the post-treated core-shell catalyst demonstrates superior durability in ORR mass activity and polarization power density retention than untreated core-shell catalyst and benchmark Pt/***-situ inductively coupled plasmamass spectrometry(ICP-MS)results highlight that the amount of dissolved Pd in post-treated core–shell catalyst is 17-times lower than that of the untreated *** findings highlight the importance of structural tuning of catalysts in enhancing their mass activity and durability.

Segmented Active Constrained Layer Damping(SACLD)is an intelligent vibration-damping structure,which could be applied to the sectors of aviation,aerospace,and transportation engineering to reduce the vibration of flexible ***,machine learning technology is widely used in the engineering field because of its efficient multi-objective *** dynamic simulation of a rotational segmental flexible manipulator system is presented,in which enhanced active constrained layer damping is carried out,and the neural network model of Genetic Algorithm-Back Propagation(GA-BP)algorithm is *** suppression and structural optimization of the SACLD manipulator model are studied based on vibration mode and damping *** modal responses of the SACLD manipulator model at rest and rotation are *** addition,the four model indices are optimized using the GA-BP neural network:axial incision size,axial incision position,circumferential incision size,and circumferential incision ***,the best model for vibration suppression is obtained.

The rapid evolution of wireless technologies and the growing complexity of network infrastructures necessitate a paradigm shift in how communication networks are designed,configured,and managed. Recent advancements in large language models (LLMs) have sparked interest in their potential to revolutionize wireless communication systems. However, existing studies on LLMs for wireless systems are limited to a direct application for telecom language understanding. To empower LLMs with knowledge and expertise in the wireless domain, this paper proposes WirelessLLM, a comprehensive framework for adapting and enhancing LLMs to address the unique challenges and requirements of wireless communication networks. We first identify three foundational principles that underpin WirelessLLM:knowledge alignment, knowledge fusion, and knowledge evolution. Then,we investigate the enabling technologies to build WirelessLLM, including prompt engineering, retrieval augmented generation, tool usage, multi-modal pre-training, and domain-specific fine-tuning. Moreover, we present three case studies to demonstrate the practical applicability and benefits of WirelessLLM for solving typical problems in wireless networks. Finally, we conclude this paper by highlighting key challenges and outlining potential avenues for future research.

The oxidation behavior of the Al CoCrFeNiYTa_(x)high entropy alloy(HEA)doped with different Ta contents at 1100℃is *** this study,different reasons for the spallation of the oxide scales of HEAs without/with excessive Ta addition after 1000 h of oxidation are discussed,and the most suitable Ta doping content for this HEA is explored,in which the HEA exhibits both an exceptionally low oxidation rate,and the formation of oxide scales composed of intact a-Al_(2)O_(3).Meanwhile,it is found that the addition of Ta can effectively inhibit the phase transition ofβphase,which makes the surface of the oxide scale *** combining our experimental results with Wagner–Hauffe theory,the influence of Ta drag effect on oxide scale growth is explained,which provides some theoretical guidance for the subsequent design of AlCoCrFeNi HEAs,and can lead to the development of thermal barrier coatings at higher service temperature.
