2021年底,holloway li在伦敦克拉肯威尔(Clerkenwell)设计完成了一个以体验为主导的展厅及联合办公空间,其灵感来自伦敦卫浴品牌Coalbrook工业革命的失落形式。原建筑为一个仓库的一层和地下层,在经过一系列颠覆性的改造后,这里变身成为一个游移于展厅与画廊、现代与陈旧、精致与粗糙之间的空间。Coalbrook的名字来源于英国中部地区的Coalbrookdale镇,这里是世界上第一座铁桥的诞生地,也是工业革命的摇篮。holloway li的设计唤起了人们对工业时代形式和材料的记忆:耸立在城市天际线上的烟囱、锅炉和引擎房中的滚滚热浪以及被开凿过的粗糙的采石场等。

家庭式酒店品牌Bermonds Lckeo的新门店位于伦敦Bermondsey区,由本土设计工作室holloway li设计完成。设计以低成本与创意的结合为亮点,以回收材料的再利用为基础,同时受到加州约书亚树公园和莫哈韦沙漠的启发。设计师将这个拥有143间客房的酒店改造成了一座充满梦幻色彩的沙漠天堂。进入酒店接待空间,一轮“圆月”映入眼帘。在与镜面天花板的搭配下,营造出幻境般的体验,像极了沙漠上闪闪发光的海市蜃楼,其灵感源自奥拉维尔埃利亚松著名的“Weather Pojectr”装置。

Effect of rainfall on a colluvial landslide in a debris flow valley

A colluvial landslide in a debris flow valley is a typical phenomena and is easily influenced by rainfall. The direct destructiveness of this kind of landslide is small, however, if failure occurs the resulting blocking of the channel may lead to a series of magnified secondary hazards. For this reason it is important to investigate the potential response of this type of landslide to rainfall. In the present paper, the Goulingping landslide, one of the colluvial landslides in the Goulingping valley in the middle of the Bailong River catchment in Gansu Province, China, was chosen for the study. Electrical Resistivity Tomography(ERT), Terrestrial Laser Scanning(TLS), together with traditional monitoring methods, were used to monitor changes in water content and the deformation of the landslide caused by rainfall. ERT was used to detect changes in soil water content induced by rainfall. The most significant findings were as follows:(1) the water content in the centralupper part(0~41 m) of the landslide was greaterthan in the central-front part(41~84 m) and(2) there was a relatively high resistivity zone at depth within the sliding zone. The deformation characteristics at the surface of the landslide were monitored by TLS and the results revealed that rainstorms caused three types of deformation and failure:(1) gully erosion at the slope surface;(2) shallow sliding failure;(3) and slope foot erosion. Subsequent monitoring of continuous changes in pore-water pressure, soil pressure and displacement(using traditional methods) indicated that long duration light rainfall(average 2.22 mm/d) caused the entire landslide to enter a state of creeping deformation at the beginning of the rainy season. Shear-induced dilation occurred for the fast sliding(30.09 mm/d) during the critical failure sub-phase(EF). Pore-water pressure in the sliding zone was affected by rainfall. The internal friction of floating spline can cause self-excited vibration of a supercritical flexible rotor *** address this issue,a high-efficiency dynamic modeling method is proposed to investigate the self-excited vibration behavior and instability evolution of the *** are conducted to validate the theoretical *** coupled dynamic equations for the rotor system connected with the floating spline are derived through the combination of finite element method and lumped parameter model.A hybrid numerical approach of precise integration and Runge-Kutta method is adopted to examine the effects of the friction coefficient of spline’s tooth surface,torque,and eccentricity on the self-excited vibration of the rotor *** results show that the spline friction leads to negative damping and inputs energy into the rotor system under supercritical conditions,triggering self-excited vibration when the input energy exceeds a specific *** the same parameters,the experimentally obtained axial trajectory and primary frequency components are consistent with the theoretical results,verifying the accuracy of the proposed theoretical *** study can serve as a useful theoretical guide for the dynamic stability design of flexible rotor systems with the floating spline.

In 2006, Sullivan stated the conjectures：（1） every oriented graph has a vertex x such that d＋＋（x） ≥ d- （x）; （2） every oriented graph has a vertex x such that d＋＋（x）＋ d＋（x） ≥ 2d- （x）; （3） every oriented graph has a vertex x such that d＋＋（x）＋ d＋（x） ≥ 2·min{d＋（x）,d-（x）}. A vertex x in D satisfying Conjecture （i） is called a Sullivan-/vertex, i = 1, 2, 3. A digraph D is called quasi-transitive if for every pair xy, yz of arcs between distinct vertices x, y, z, xz or zx （＂or＂ is inclusive here） is in D. In this paper, we prove that the conjectures hold for quasi-transitive oriented graphs, which is a superclass of tournaments and transitive acyclic digraphs. Furthermore, we show that a quasi-transitive oriented graph with no vertex of in-degree zero has at least three Sullivan-1 vertices and a quasi-transitive oriented graph has at least three Sullivan-3 vertices unless it belongs to an exceptional class of quasi- transitive oriented graphs. For Sullivan-2 vertices, we show that an extended tournament, a subclass of quasi-transitive oriented graphs and a superclass of tournaments, has at least two Sullivan-2 vertices unless it belongs to an exceptional class of extended tournaments.

China is breaking through the petrodollar system,establishing RMB-dominating crude oil futures *** country is achieving a milestone in its transition to energy finance market *** study explores the price leadership of China's crude oil futures and identifies its price co-movement to uncover whether it truly shakes up the global oil spots ***,we find that for oil spots under different gravities,China's oil futures is only a net price information receiver from light-,medium-,and heavy-gravity oil spots,but it has a relatively stronger price co-movement with these three ***,for oil spots under different sulfur contents,China's oil futures still has weak price leadership in sweet,neutral,and sour oil spots,but it has strong co-movement with ***,for oil spots under different geographical origins,China's oil futures shows price leadership in East Asian and Australian oil spots at the medium-and longrun time scales and strong price co-movement with East Asian,Middle Eastern,Latin American and Australian oil ***'s oil futures may not have good price leadership in global spots market,but it features favorable price co-movement.

Pervasive computing environment is a distributed and mobile space. Trust relationship must be established and ensured between devices and the systems in the pervasive computing environment. The trusted computing （TC） technology introduced by trusted computing group is a distributed-system-wide approach to the provisions of integrity protection of resources. The TC＇s notion of trust and security can be described as conformed system behaviors of a platform environment such that the conformation can be attested to a remote challenger. In this paper the trust requirements in a pervasive/ubiquitous environment are analyzed. Then security schemes for the pervasive computing are proposed using primitives offered by TC technology.
