Biological Profile and Cardiovascular Risk in Patients Receiving Neuroleptics at the Psychiatric Department of the university hospital Center of Brazzaville

Several studies report the problem of cardiovascular tolerance of treatments with neuroleptics, given the important number of morbidities in patients with mental illnesses. This preliminary work aimed to describe the epidemiological and biological profile of patients taking neuroleptics and followed in the psychiatry department of Brazzaville university hospital, from the angle of cardiovascular risk. Fifty (50) patients (17 men and 33 women), with a mean age of 33.9 10.7 years, were included. Epidemiological data (sex, age, tobacco or alcohol consumption) were collected on pre-established survey forms. Biochemical (total cholesterol, HDL-c, triglycerides and atherogenicity index) and inflammatory parameters (ultra-sensitive CRP, troponin I and NT-ProBNP) were investigated using enzymatic and indirect immunofluorescence technical, respectively. The results obtained showed that 54% of patients were obese, 94% were non-smokers, and 12% had high blood pressure. 10% of patients had high total cholesterol levels and 90% had HDL cholesterol levels below 60 mg/dl. Triglycerides and atherogenicity index were significantly elevated in relation to Body Mass Index (BMI). Ultrasensitive CRP was elevated in 38% of patients. In conclusion, this study revealed an association between lipid parameters (triglycerides and atherogenicity index) in relation to BMI in patients taking neuroleptics followed in the Psychiatry Department of university hospital Center of Brazzaville.

hot deformation behaviour and processing maps of AA6061-10 vol. % SiC composite prepared by spark plasma sintering

AA6061-10 vol.% SiC composite was successfully prepared by spark plasma sintering. The deformation behaviour of this composite was studied using the uniaxial compression test, which was conducted at temperatures between 300 and 500℃ and strain rates between 0.001 and 1 s^-1. Results indicate that the stress-strain curves of the AA6061-10 vol.% SiC composite typically feature dynamic recrystallization. The steady stress can be described by a hyperbolic sine constitutive equation, and the activation energy of the composite is 230.88 kJ/mol. The processing map was established according to the dynamic materials model. The optimum hot deformation temperature is 450-500℃ and the strain rate is 1-0.1 s^-1. The instability zones of flow behaviour can also be identified using the processing map.

hot deformation behavior of a novel Ni-Cr-Mo-B heavy plate steel was studied by hot compression tests,which were conducted on a Gleeble-3800thermo-mechanical simulator corresponding to the temperature range of850-1 150℃ with the strain rates of 0.01-10s-1 and the true strain of *** results suggest that the majority of flow curves exhibit a typical dynamic recrystallization（DRX）behavior with an apparent single peak stress followed by agradual fall towards a steady-state *** characteristic parameters of flow behavior as critical stress/strain for initiation of DRX and peak and steady-state stress/strain were derived from curves of strain hardening rate versus stress and stress versus strain,*** constants of the investigated steel were determined based on Arrhenius-type constitutive equation,and then the peak stress was predicted by the equation with the hot deformation activation energy of 379 139J/mol,and the predicted values agree well with the experimental ***,the effect of Zener-hollomon parameter on the characteristic points of flow curves was studied using the power law relation,and the ratio of critical stress and strain to peak stress and strain were found to be 0.91and0.46,respectively.

The present study focused on the estimation of submarine groundwater discharge(SGD)and the effects of nutrient fluxes due to the SGD *** parameters of SGD such as magnitude,character,and nutrient flux in Punnakayal region of South East coast of India were evaluated using multiple tracers of groundwater inputs in *** was found that the elevated values for the tracers in the study area,displayed a gradational change in the values as move from estuarine part to the *** occurrence of fresh and saline SGD is observed on the study ***,indicated that the SGD fluxes ranged from 0.04 to 0.12 m^3 m^-2d^-1 at the estuary and0.03-0.15 m^3 m^-2d^-1at the groundwater site.A substantially increased value for 222 Rn activities is distinguished in the estuary to values over 312 dpm L^-*** embellishments were generally greatest at locations with substantial meteoric elements in groundwater;however,the recirculation of saltwater through the geological formation could provide a way of transferring terrestrially-derived nutrients to the coastal zone at many places.

Effects of Welding Procedure on Corrosion Resistance and Hydrogen Embrittlement of Supermartensitic Stainless Steel Deposits

The effects of shielding gas and post weld heat treatment on the pitting resistance, stress corrosion crack- ing and hydrogen embrittlement of supermartensitic stainless steel deposits were studied. Two all-weld-metal test coupons were prepared using a metal-cored wire under Ar＋ 5% He and Ar＋18%CO2 gas shielding mixtures. Solubi- lizing and solubilizing plus double tempering heat treatments were done with the objective of achieving different mi crostructural results, The samples welded under Ar＋5% He showed higher pitting corrosion resistance, for all post weld heat treatments, than those welded under Ar＋18% CO2. The different post weld heat treatments generated higher susceptibility to this corrosion mechanism. None of the samples presented signs of stress corrosion cracking, but in those subjected to the heat treatment, grain boundary selective attack was observed, on the surfaces of all the samples studied. The samples with highest hardness were more susceptible to hydrogen damage, thereby leading to reduced tensile strength on this condition.

Induction of Anthracnose Disease Resistance on Chili Fruit by Treatment of Oligochitosan—Nanosilica Hybrid Material

Oligochitosan (OC) with molecular weight Mw of 5000 g/mol was prepared by gamma Co-60 ray irradiation of chitosan solution. Nanosilica (nSiO2) with the size of 10 - 30 nm was synthesized by calcination of acid treated rice husk. The mixture of 1% OC - 1% nSiO2 was prepared by dispersion of nSiO2 in OC solution. The morphology of nSiO2 in the mixture of OC-nSiO2 was measured from images of transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The effect of foliar application of the mixture of OC-nSiO2 on the induction of resistance against anthracnose disease caused by Colletotrichum gloeosporioides fungus on chili fruits was investigated. Results indicated that foliar application of OC-nSiO2 with the concentration of 60 mg/l - 60 mg/l was found to be as the optimal treatment that reduced the disease severity on chili fruits to 22.2% compared with 90.0% of the control. Thus, OC-nSiO2 hybrid material could be considered as an effective biotic elicitor to prevent anthracnose disease infection for chili fruits. Furthermore, the prepared OC-nSiO2 hybrid material can also be used as an environmentally friendly agrochemical product for sustainable development of agriculture.

Pattern Recognition and Forecast of Coal and Gas Outburst

Coal and gas outburst is a complicated dynamic phenomenon in coal mines, Multi-factor Pattern Recognition is based on the relevant data obtained from research achievements of Geo-dynamic Division, With the help of spatial data management, the Neuron Network and Cluster algorithm are applied to predict the danger probability of coal and gas outburst in each cell of coal mining district. So a coal-mining district can be divided into three areas： dangerous area, minatory area, and safe area. This achievement has been successfully applied for regional prediction of coal and gas outburst in Hualnan mining area in China.
