Face passive failure can severely damage existing structures and underground utilities during shallow shield tunneling,especially in co.stal backfill *** this work,a series of laboratory model tests were developed and co.ducted to investigate such failure,for tunnels located at burial depth ratios for which C/D=0.5,0.8,1,and *** pressures,the evolution of failure processes,the failure modes,and the distribution of velocity fields were examined through model tests and numerical *** support pressure in the tests first rose rapidly to the elastic limit and then gradually increased to the maximum value in all *** maximum support pressure decreased slightly in cases where C/D=0.8,1,and 1.3,but the rebound was insignificant where C/D=*** addition,the co.figuration of the failure mode with C/D=0.5 showed a wedge-shaped arch,which was determined by the outcropping shear *** co.figuration of failure modes was co.posed of an arch and the inverted trapezoid when C/D=0.8,1,and 1.3,in which the mode was divided into lower and upper failure zones.

The reco.ery of heat and water from low-grade flue gas is of co.siderable importance for energy co.servation and environmental *** the full-open absorption heat pump shows promise as a means of achieving heat and water reco.ery,the lack of research on heat and mass transfer performance of open-type solution evaporation regeneration represents a significant impediment to its design and *** paper experimentally investigates the regeneration performance of an open-type spaying tower equipped with ceramic structured *** different regeneration modes are proposed,namely ambient air receiver mode and flue gas receiver mode,to utilize air or low-grade flue gas as a driving *** impact of different input parameters on the regeneration characteristics,including heat transfer capacity,water removal rate,thermal efficiency,and humidity effectiveness,are *** findings indicate that the enhancement of regeneration can be achieved through the increase of solution flow rate,solution temperature,and flue gas flow rate in both regeneration ***,high solution co.centration and flue gas humidity ratio can weaken water removal rates and reduce thermal *** the regeneration of CaCl_(2)-H_(2)O with a co.centration of55%,flue gas around 200℃with a humidity ratio below 44 g/kg can successfully drive the solution regeneration *** the solution co.centration or flue gas humidity ratio co.tinues to rise,additional energy is necessary for ***,the co.pled heat and mass transfer co.fficients are fitted,which can co.tribute to the design and optimization of the open-type regenerator.

Metal-free graphitic carbon nitride(g-C_(3)N_(4))has captured significant attention as a low-co.t and efficient hydrogen production photocatalyst *** regulating the microstructure and accelerating the separation of photogenerated carriers remain crucial strategies for promoting the photocatalytic performance of this ***,a novel sulfur–carbon co.doped g-C_(3)N_(4)(SCCN)hierarchical microtubules filled with abundant nanosheets inside by thermal polymerization is *** nanosheets create abundant pores and cavities inside the SCCN microtubes,thereby increasing the specific surface area of g-C_(3)N_(4)and providing sufficient reactant attachment ***,the hierarchical structure of SCCN microtubules strengthens the reflection and scattering of light,and the utilization of visible light is favorably *** importantly,co.doping S and C has greatly improved the photocatalytic performance of graphitic carbon nitride,optimized the band gap structure and enhanced the photogenerated carrier ***,the SCCN exhibits a remarkable photocatalytic H_(2)evolution rate of 4868μmol/(g·h).This work demonstrates the potential of multi-nonmetal doped g-C_(3)N_(4)as the ideal photocatalyst for H2 evolution.

Effect of surfactant frequently used in soil flushing on oxygen mass transfer in micro-nano-bubble aeration system

In-site soil flushing and aeration are the typical synergetic remediation technology for co.taminated *** surfactant present in flushing solutions is bound to affect the aeration *** purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of surfactant frequently used in soil flushing on the oxygen mass transfer in micro-nano-bubble(MNB)aeration ***,bio-surfactants and chemical surfactants were used to investigate their effects on Sauter mean diameter of bubble(dBS),gas holdup(ε),volumetric mass-transfer co.fficient(kLa)and liquid-side mass-transfer co.fficient(kL)in the MNB aeration ***,based upon the experimental results,the Sardeing's and Frossling's models were modified to describe the effect of surfactant on kL in the MNB *** results showed that,for the twenty aqueous surfactant solutions,with the increase in surfactant co.centration,the value of dBS,kLa and kL decreased,while the value ofεand gas-liquid interfacial area(a)*** phenomena were mainly attributed to the synergistic effects of immobile bubble surface and the suppression of co.lescence in the surfactant *** addition,with the presence of electric charge,MNBs in anionic surfactant solutions were smaller and higher in number than in non-ionic surfactant ***,the accumulation of surfactant on the gas-liquid interface was more co.spicuous for small MNB,so the reduction of kL in anionic surfactant solutions was larger than that in non-ionic surfactant ***,the modified Frossling's model predicted the effect of surfactant on kL in MNB aeration system with reasonable accuracy.

All-solid-state lithium batteries(ASSLBs)based on sulfide electrolytes promise next-generation energy storage with high energy density and ***,the sulfide electrolytes suffer from phase instability and sluggish interfacial charge transport when pairing with layered oxide cathodes at high ***,a simple and efficient strategy is proposed using two-dimensional Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)MXene as starting material to in-situ co.struct a 15 nm Li_(2)TiO_(3) layer on a typical oxide cathode,Lico._(2).The in-situ transformation of Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)into Li_(2)TiO_(3) layer occurs at a low temperature of 500℃,avoiding the phase deterioration of Lico._(2).The thin Li_(2)TiO_(3) layer is Li^(+)co.ducting and electrochemically stable,thereby preventing the interfacial deco.position of sulfide electrolytes induced by Lico._(2) at high voltages and facilitating Li+transport at the ***,Li_(2)TiO_(3) can stabilize the layer structure of Lico._(2) at high ***,the sulfide-based ASSLB using Lico._(2)@Li_(2)TiO_(3) cathode can operate stably at a high voltage of up to 4.5 V(***+/Li),delivering an outstanding initial specific discharge capacity of 138.8 m Ah/g with a high capacity retention of 86.2% after 100 cycles at 0.2 *** in-situ transformation strategy may also apply to other MXenes,offering a general approach for co.structing other advanced lithiated co.tings for oxide cathodes.

Performance evaluation of new epoxy resin-based co.posite phase change materials and their asphalt mixture

In recent years,the temperature-adjusted asphalt pavement has been an extensive co.cern by scholars in various co.ntries,and this pavement can reduce temperaturerelated *** this study,the shaped co.posite phase change materials(CPCMs)were successfully synthesized by two processes,which are vacuum impregnation and epoxy ***,the applicability of CPCMs in asphalt mixtures was evaluated by microsco.ic characterization,chemical co.patibility,thermal properties,durability,and leakage ***,CPCMs were applied to the asphalt mixture to evaluate its temperatureadjusted characteristics and pavement ***,the performance of the temperature-adjusted asphalt mixture was analyzed by integrating all *** research shows that the prepared CPCMs have excellent thermal properties and durability,the phase transition temperature is 48.93℃,and the phase transition enthalpy is 106.5 J/g,which fully meets the requirements for use in *** temperature-adjusted asphalt mixture co.ld alleviate the occurrence of extreme temperature,which was 4.9℃lower than the co.ventional *** pavement performance of the temperatureadjusted asphalt mixture can meet the specified standards for humid *** the factors,the reco.mended amount of CPCMs is 1.5%.The research results provide a basis for the promotion of temperature-adjusted asphalt pavement and effectively support the development of pavement engineering technology.

This review evaluated research results on polyvinyl alco.ol fiber cement-stabilized macadam(PVA-FCSM)to further improve the long-term durability of road structures and promote its in-depth study and high-quality *** suitable PVA fiber technical indexes for ordinary cement-stabilized macadam(CSM)were *** difference in the mechanical properties between CSM and PVA-FCSM was *** extent to which PVA fibers enhance the durability of CSM were ***,the mechanism of enhancement of CSM by PVA fibers was ***,the performance of each type of fiber cement-stabilized macadam(FCSM)was co.pared and *** results indicated that the suggested PVA fiber length and co.tent for CSM were 12-30 mm and 0.6-1.2 kg/m^(3),*** different ages,the mean degree of improvement in the unco.fined co.pressive strength was 14%,20%,and 14%,that in the co.pressive resilience modulus was 8%,11%,and 6%,and that in the splitting strength was 29%,15%,and 22%,*** different ages,the mean degree of decreased in the dry shrinkage co.fficient was 21%,16%,and 15%and that in the temperature shrinkage co.fficient(20℃-30℃)was 23%,23%,and 18%,*** co.fficients increased with extended curing ***,at the same stress level,PVA-FCSM has a higher fatigue life co.pared to *** bridging effect,high strength,and high modulus of PVA fiber enhance the strength and anti-cracking of *** reco.mended fiber type for CSM is PVA fiber.
