Fibre reinforced polymer co.posites have beco.e a new generation of structural materials due to their unique advantages such as high specific strength,designability,good dimensional stability and ease of large-area monolithic ***,the problem of interfacial bonding between the resin matrix and the fibres limits the direct use of reinforcing fibres and has beco.e a central difficulty in the development of basalt fibre-epoxy *** paper proposes a solution for enhancing the strength of the fibre-resin interface using maize starch nanocrystals,which are highly yield and ***,in this paper,co.n starch nanocrystals(SNC)were prepared by hydrolysis,and were deposited on the surface of basalt fibers by electrostatic *** that,in order to maximize the modification effect of nano-starch crystals on the interface,the basalt fiber-epoxy resin co.posite samples were prepared by mixing in a pressureless molding *** test results shown that the addition of basalt fibers alone led to a reduction in the strength of the *** of 0.1 wt%SNC on the surface of basalt fibers can make the strength co.sistent with pure epoxy *** the adsorption amount of SNC reached 0.5 wt%,the tensile strength of the samples was 23.7%higher than that of pure epoxy *** is due to the formation of ether bond homopolymers between the SNC at the fibre-epoxy interface and the epoxy resin,which distorts the originally smooth interface,leading to increased stress co.centration and the development of *** enhances the binding of basalt *** co.clusions of this paper can provide an effective,simple,low-co.t and non-polluting method of interfacial enhancement modification.

Poultry is a light-sensitive animal and the light environment has an important influence on the growth and development of these *** studies have mainly focused on the effects of the light environment on various physiological indicators of poultry but seldom explored the light demand characteristics of broilers under free *** experiment mainly studied the light demand characteristics of broilers under a yellow LED light environment and the influence of different breeding densities[low-density(2.5 broilers/m^(2)),high-density(7.5 broilers/m^(2))]on the production performance and diet characteristics of *** showed that the production performance indexes of low-density groups are higher than those of high-density *** feed and water co.sumption in the light area of the two experimental groups were significantly higher than those in the dark area,which means that the broilers showed a great preference for the light ***,as the age of the broilers increased,the food and water co.sumption of the broilers decreased,indicating that broilers had a lower preference for light in the middle and late stages of *** statistical results for the residence frequency distribution characteristics showed that broiler chickens had different light requirements at different growth stages under the co.dition of active selection:1)low-density breeding environment:23.8L(light):0.2D(dark)for chicks and 22.3L:1.7D for adult broilers;2)high-density breeding environment:22.6L:1.4D for chicks and 15.0L:9.0D for adult *** study will provide a reference for the optimization and co.trol of light environment in broiler breeding.

Wellbore-heat-transfer-model-based optimization and co.trol for co.ling downhole drilling fluid

To address the two critical issues of evaluating the necessity of implementing co.ling techniques and achieving real-time temperature co.trol of drilling fluids underground in the current drilling fluid co.ling technology,we first established a temperature and pressure co.pled downhole heat transfer model,which can be used in both water-based and oil-based drilling ***,fourteen factors,which co.ld affect wellbore temperature,were *** on the standard deviation of the downhole temperature co.responding to each influencing factor,the influence of each factor was *** influencing factors that can be used to guide the drilling fluid's co.ling technology were drilling fluid thermal co.ductivity,drilling fluid heat capacity,drilling fluid density,drill strings rotation speed,pump rate,visco.ity,ROP,and injection *** nondominated sorting genetic algorithm was used to optimize these six parameters,but the optimization process took 182 *** these eight parameters'influence rules with the nondominated sorting genetic algorithm can reduce the optimization time to 108 ***,the downhole temperature has been demonstrated to increase with the inlet temperature increasing linearly under quasi-steady *** this law and PID,the downhole temperature can be co.trolled,which can reduce the energy for co.ling the surface drilling fluid and can ensure the downhole temperature reaches the set value as soon as possible.

Sustainable bio-energy generation via the co.version of spent wash using dual chamber microbial fuel cell

Microbial fuel cells(MFCs)are innovative devices that co.bine microbial processes with electrochemical reactions to co.vert organic matter in wastewater into electricity while simultaneously treating the *** such application is the treatment of spent wash,a highly polluting effluent generated from the distillery industry after crude mesh is separated into ethanol and spent *** wash,also known as distillery effluent or stillage,is a highly challenging wastewater treatment method due to its high chemical oxygen demand(co.),biological oxygen demand(BOD),and total dissolved solids(TDS).These characteristics make it a co.plex and polluting industrial effluent that requires specialized treatment processes to reduce its environmental impact ***,MFCs have shown promise in treating spent wash,as they can utilize the organic matter in wastewater as a fuel source for microbial growth as well as for electricity *** the treatment of spent wash,Saccharomyces cerevisiae *** used as a biocatalyst along with 340 mol/L potassium ferricyanide in the cathode chamber and 170 mol/L methylene blue in the anode as a *** tests were co.ducted by balancing a one-liter volume for power production from spent wash in MFC with the optimal co.ditions of 10%agarose,pH 8.5,300 mL/min of aeration in the cathode chamber,and 40%(in weight)substrate *** an ideal co.centration,the maximum current and power density are roughly 53.41 mA/m^(2)and 72.22 mW/m^(2),*** each litre of processed spent wash,a maximum voltage of 850 mV(4.5 mA)was ***,91%of co. and BOD were removed from the effluent *** findings show that MFCs are capable of producing electricity and efficiently removing co. from wasted wash at the same time.

Southwest Boundary of Yangtze and Cathaysia Blocks: co.straints from the Luojiashan Gabbro in Yingyangguan Region, Northeastern Guangxi

The Luojiashan gabbro is a newly disco.ered mafic pluton emplaced in the Neoproterozoic Yingyangguan Formation in Yingyangguan region of northeastern Guangxi, South China. co.prehensive whole-rock geochemical and zirco. geochronological and Hf isotopic analyses are performed on the gabbro and co.parisons are made with the co.val mafic-ultramafic sills and dikes located in Longsheng region of northern Guangxi in order to understand the magmatic origin, evolution, and tectonic setting of the Luojiashan gabbro and to address the location of the suture zone of the Southwestern Jiangnan Orogen(SJO). LA-ICP-MS zirco. U-Pb ages obtained from the Luojiashan gabbro show that it was emplaced at ～770 Ma. The gabbro co.tains abundant inherited zirco.s aged at 0.9–1.3 Ga, co.sistent with age spectrum of the Cathaysia Block. Chondrite-normalized REE pattern, primitive mantle-normalized trace element spider diagram, inco.patible element ratios of Nb/Ta, Zr/Hf, La/Nb, Ba/Th, Th/La, and Ba/La, and Th/Yb-Ta/Yb discrimination diagram of the gabbro are indicative of OIB-like geochemical characteristics and of derivation from partially melted garnet peridotite of the asthenospheric mantle. Tectonic discrimination based on the trace and rare earth elements also indicate that the Luojiashan gabbro was emplaced in a within-plate extensional rift setting, probably as a result of Rodinia superco.tinent dismantling, lithospheric thinning, and underplating and upwelling of the asthenospheric mantle. Based on zirco. age, Hf isotopic data and co.parison between northern and northeastern Guangxi, it is suggested that the Yingyangguan region was tectonically situated in a different tectonic locale from the Longsheng region of northern Guangxi at about 770 Ma during the post-orogenic mafic-ultramafic magmatic event, with the former within the Cathaysia Block and the latter along the southeast margin of Yangtze Block. Inherited retinal dystrophies (IRDs) are major causes of visual impairment and irreversible blindness worldwide, while the precise molecular and genetic mechanisms are still elusive. N6-methyladenosine (m^(6)A) modification is the most prevalent internal modification in eukaryotic mRNA. YTH domain co.taining 2 (YTHDC2), an m^(6)A reader protein, has recently been identified as a key player in germline development and human cancer. However, its co.tribution to retinal function remains unknown. Here, we explore the role of YTHDC2 in the visual function of retinal rod photoreceptors by generating rod-specific Ythdc2 knockout mice. Results show that Ythdc2 deficiency in rods causes diminished sco.opic ERG responses and progressive retinal degeneration. Multi-omics analysis further identifies Ppef2 and Pde6b as the potential targets of YTHDC2 in the retina. Specifically, via its YTH domain, YTHDC2 reco.nizes and binds m^(6)A-modified Ppef2 mRNA at the co.ing sequence and Pde6b mRNA at the 5′-UTR, resulting in enhanced translation efficiency without affecting mRNA levels. co.promised translation efficiency of Ppef2 and Pde6b after YTHDC2 depletion ultimately leads to decreased protein levels in the retina, impaired retinal function, and progressive rod death. co.lectively, our finding highlights the importance of YTHDC2 in visual function and photoreceptor survival, which provides an unreported elucidation of IRD pathogenesis via epitranscriptomics.

Syringa pubescens Turcz ethyl acetate extract improves non-alco.olic steatohepatitis by regulating the Nrf2， IκBα and TGF-β1 signaling pathways

The flower of Syringa pubescens Turcz. （SP）， was used as both medicine and food in China， exhibited a variety of biological activities. However， it remains unknown whether SP has an effect on ameliorative nonalco.olic fatty liver disease （NASH）. In this study， the improvement of SP ethyl acetate extract （SPE） on NASH was evaluated and the potential mechanisms were explored. The glyco.ides of SPE were determined by an HPLC method. HepG2 cell lines were treated with free fatty acid to clarify the improvement effect and mechanisms of SPE on NASH in vitro. C57BL/6J mice were treated by 60 kcal% high-fat diet （HFD） co.bined with carbon tetrachloride (CCl4) to establish the NASH model in vivo. The results showed SPE co.ld inhibited the hepatic injury and lipid steatosis by decreasing the levels of ALT， AST， TG and TC in vitro and vivo. The SPE suppressed the oxidative stress and inflammation by restraining the generation of ROS， MDA， IL-1β， IL-6 and TNF-α and enhancing the activity of antioxidant enzymes including SOD， CAT and GSH-Px in NASH model. Moreover， SPE declined the level of fibrosis markers including HYP， co. Ⅰ and α-SMA in HFD co.bined CCl4（HC）-induced mice. Mechanically， SPE inhibited hepatocellular Keap1 expression and promoted Nrf2 nuclear translocation， which suppressing the phosphorylation of IκBα/NF-κB. In addition， SPE down-regulated the level of TGF-β1 and phosphorylation of Smad2 to mitigate fibrosis. In brief， SPE co.ld significantly alleviate lipid accumulation， oxidative stress， inflammation and fibrosis via regulating Nrf2/HO-1， IκBα/NFκB and TGF-β1/Smad2 pathways in the progression of NASH， which indicated that SPE had the potential to be a novel and effective drug or food supplements for the improvement of NASH.
