In-plane optical anisotropy of two-dimensional VOCl single crystal with weak interlayer interaction

Transition-metal oxyhalides MOX(M=Fe,Cr,V;O=oxygen,X=F,Cl,Br,I),an emerging type of two-dimensional(2D)van der Waals materials,have been both theoretically and experimentally demonstrated to possess unique electronic and magnetic ***,the intrinsic in-plane anisotropic properties of 2D VOCl still lacks in-depth re-search,especially optical ***,a systematic Raman spectroscopic study is performed on VOCl single-crystal with different incident laser polarization at various *** polarized-dependent Raman scattering spectra reveal that the Ag mode of VOCl show a 2-lobed shape in parallel polarization configuration while a 4-lobed shape in vertical *** addition,the temperature-dependent and thickness-dependent Raman scattering spectra confirm a rela-tively weak van der Waals interaction between each layers among VOCl single *** findings might provide better understanding on the in-plane anisotropic phenomenon in VOCl layers,thus will accelate further application of 2D single crystals for nanoscale angle-dependent optoelectronics.

A dynamical model of temperature of hot smoke layer is quantitatively established based on the whole backdraft procedure induced by liquid fuel. The whole procedure consists of the preburn fire (the first period), the secondary fuel injection (the second period) and backdraft development (the third period). The model considers enthalpy loss of liquid fuel vola- tilization and hot smoke layer mass gain. In this paper, simulative results of the model are well compared with experimental results, and simulative results of the model are analyzed. Furthermore, combustion efficiency under limited ventilation and practical combustion reaction rate are worth investigating.

As the hot line in NP-hard problems research in recent years, backbone analysis is crucial for phase transition, hardness, and algorithm design. Whereas theoretical analysis of backbone and its applications in algorithm design are still at a begin- ning state yet, this paper took the quadratic assignment problem （QAP） as a case study and proved by theoretical analysis that it is NP-hard to find the backbone, i.e., no algorithm exists to obtain the backbone of a QAP in polynomial time. Results of this paper showed that it is reasonable to acquire approximate backbone by inter- section of local optimal solutions. Furthermore, with the method of constructing biased instances, this paper proposed a new meta-heuristic -- biased instance based approximate backbone （BI-AB）, whose basic idea is as follows： firstly, construct a new biased instance for every QAP instance （the optimal solution of the new instance is also optimal for the original one）; secondly, the approximate backbone is obtained by intersection of multiple local optimal solutions computed by some existing algorithm; finally, search for the optimal solutions in the reduced space by fixing the approximate backbone. Work of the paper enhanced the research area of theoretical analysis of backbone. The meta-heuristic proposed in this paper provided a new way for general algorithm design of NP-hard problems as well.

Superconductivity beyond electron-phonon mechanism is always twisted with magnetism. Based on a new field-effect transistor with solid ion conductor as the gate dielectric(SIC-FET), we successfully achieve an electric-field-controlled phase transition between superconductor and ferromagnetic insulator in(Li,Fe)OHFeSe. A dome-shaped superconducting phase with optimal T_c of 43K is continuously tuned into a ferromagnetic insulating phase, which exhibits an electric-field-controlled quantum critical behavior. The origin of the ferromagnetism is ascribed to the order of the interstitial Fe ions expelled from the(Li,Fe)OH layers by gating-controlled Li injection. These surprising findings offer a unique platform to study the relationship between superconductivity and ferromagnetism in Fe-based superconductors. This work also demonstrates the superior performance of the SIC-FET in regulating physical properties of layered unconventional superconductors.

The insulator-metal(I-M)transition in colossal magnetoresistance material La_(2/3)Ca_(1/3)MnO_(3) has been studied by electrical transport,magnetization and electron spin resonance(ESR)*** the I-M transition,the ESR signal shows a crossover from paramagnetic resonance line to ferromagnetic resonance line,which implies a coexistence of localized small polarons and itinerant carriers during the I-M *** on the concept of‘small polaron collapse’,a two-phase model is proposed to quantitatively describe the electrical transport behaviour across the insulator-metal *** calculations of resistivity in different applied magnetic fields have close trends with the experimental data,which strongly proves that the I-M transition results from the collapse of small polarons and two phases coexist during the transition.

Porous solid scaffolds play key roles in preventing nanocatalysts from agglomeration,greatly maintaining the catalytic efficiency and stability of ***,facile preparation of robust scaffolds with high mass transfer efficiency for loading nanocatalysts remains a major ***,we fabricate a wood-inspired shape-memory chitosan scaffold for loading Au nanoparticles to reduce 4-nitrophenol via a simple“freeze-casting and dip-adsorption”*** obtained catalytic scaffold highly resembles the unidirectional microchannel structure of natural wood,resulting in robust mechanical properties and outstanding water absorption ***,Au nanoparticles can be firmly and uniformly anchored on the inner surface of these microchannels via electrostatic interaction,forming numerous *** catalytic system exhibits a high 4-nitrophenol conversion rate of 99%in 5 s and impressive catalytic stability even after continuously treating with more than 3 L of highly concentrated 4-nitrophenol solution(1 mmol/L).Therefore,the wood-like catalytic system presented here demonstrates the potential to be applied in the field of water treatment and environmental protection.

Cervical cancer(CC)is one of the most common gynecological cancers,ranking fourth in incidence and mortality rates among women worldwide and second in China[1].Approximately 15%-61%of patients with CC develop recurrent or metastatic(r/m)disease in the first two years after initial therapy completion,with a 5-year survival rate of 17%[2].Platinum-based chemotherapy is the first-line treatment for r/mCC.
