This article is a result of the synthetic analysis and study of the heavy minerals from nearly eightly boreholes in the hebei plain. According to the resistance of minerals to weathering, heavy minerals (generally taking the specific gravity of 5 as a dividing line) are divided into two kinds——stable minerals and unstable minerals. Since unstable minerals (especially amphibole) which are very sensitive to climate are widespread in this district, they have typical representative significance. Emphasis is laid on the study of the vertical and lateral distributions of the unstable minerals and their variation. The dominant factors that control and influence their variation are also discussed.

The problem of ore-bearing potentiality of the strata involves metallogenic theory and ore-search *** of the spatial distribution of endogenic Au-Ag polymetallic ore deposits in North hebei indicated that the strata in which ore deposits occurred range in age from Paleozoic,Proterozoic to *** addition the ore deposits are characterized as being strata-bound in *** arise and establishment of "extracting" viewpoint may be attributed to the following three reasons:1) influence by the idea of "ore-source bed";2) limitation of analytical techniques in the 1980s'(especially gold element);and 3) a small number of samples(sampling locations were mostly disturbed by mineralization).Studies have shown that ore-forming materials would most probably come from the deep interior of the ***-seated ore-bearing materials including Au-Ag polymetals were brought to the shallow levels by way of mantle plume-mantle sub-plume-mantle branch structure multi-stage evolution,finally leading to the formation of ore deposits.

Peridotites from the southern Mariana forearc were sampled on the landward trench slope of the Izu-Bonin-Mariana (IBM) subduction zone by *** mantle wedge peridotites underwent hydration by fluid derived from a dehydrated descending slab,and later interacted with seawater after emplacement at or near the *** study investigates how these two different rock-fluid interaction processes influenced trace element distribution in the southern Mariana forearc *** measured trace element concentrations of peridotites from the southern Mariana *** southern Mariana forearc peridotites are characterized by a distinct seawater-like REE pattern with an obvious negative Ce anomaly,and La shows good correlation with other REEs (except Ce).In addition,there is a great enrichment of U,Pb,Sr and Li elements,which show a distinct positive anomaly relative to adjacent elements in the multi-element *** the seawater-like REE pattern,we infer that REEs are mainly influenced by seawater during peridotite-seawater interactions after their emplacement at or near the seafloor,by serpentinization or by marine ***,the anomalous behavior of Ce,compared with other rare earth elements in these samples,may indicate that they have undergone reactions involving Ce (IV) when the peridotites interacted with *** U,Pb,Sr and Li anomalies are inferred to be related to seawater and/or fluids released during dehydration of the subducting slab.

The serpentinized peridotites overlying the subducted zones in the Izu-Bonin-Mariana(IBM) arc system have been interpret as the cause of the low-velocity layer identified beneath the IBM froearc,in turn few earthquakes occurred along the plate ***,which is a low temperature and highly hydrated phase of serpentine with low frictional strength,has been suggested as the low velocity material in the serpentinized peridotites,besides,brucite is inferred to be likely conducive to stable ***,such idea encounters challenging in our serpentinized peridotites from the southern Mariana forearc,which absent both the above *** presence of talc,which characterized by its weak,low-friction and inherently stable sliding behavior,provides new *** we report the occurrence of talc in serpentinized peridotites collected from the landward trench slope of the southern Mariana *** infer that talc is mainly forming as a result of the reaction of serpentine minerals with silica-saturated fluids released from the subducting slab,and talc also occurs as talc veins *** to its unique physical properties,talc may therefore play a significant role in aseismic slip in the IBM subduction zone.

Geothermal resources are increasingly gaining attention as a competitive,clean energy source to address the energy crisis and mitigate climate *** Wugongshan area,situated in the southeast coast geothermal belt of China,is a typical geothermal anomaly and contains abundant medium-and low-temperature geothermal *** study employed hydrogeochemical and isotopic techniques to explore the cyclic evolution of geothermal water in the western Wugongshan region,encompassing the recharge origin,water-rock interaction mechanisms,and residence *** results show that the geothermal water in the western region of Wugongshan is weakly alkaline,with low enthalpy and mineralization *** hydrochemistry of geothermal waters is dominated by Na-HCO_(3)and Na-SO_(4),while the hydrochemistry types of cold springs are all Na-HCO_(3).The hydrochemistry types of surface waters and rain waters are NaHCO_(3)or Ca-HCO_(3).The δD and δ^(18)O values reveal that the geothermal waters are recharged by atmospheric precipitation at an altitude between 550.0 and 1218.6 *** ratios of maj or solutes and isotopic compositions of^(87)Sr/^(86)Sr underscore the significant role of silicate weathering,dissolution,and cation exchange in controlling geothermal water ***,geothermal waters experienced varying degrees of mixing with cold water during their ***δ^(13)C values suggest that the primary sources of carbon in the geothermal waters were biogenic and ***δ^(34)S value suggests that the sulfates in geothermal water originate from sulfide minerals in the surrounding *** dating using 3H and^(14)C isotopes suggests that geothermal waters have a residence time exceeding 1 kaBP and undergo a long-distance cycling process.

Geochemical Characteristics and geological Significance of Meta-Volcanic Rocks of the Bainaimiao Group, Sonid Right Banner, Inner Mongolia, China

The Bainaimiao Group, which crops out in the Sonid Right Banner area of Inner Mongolia, China, comprises mainly metamorphosed volcano-sedimentary rocks. This group can be divided into two formations: a lower formation characterized by intermediate-felsic volcanic rocks, and an upper formation of intermediate-mafic volcanic rocks. Zircon dating indicates that biotite leptynite from the lower formation and chlorite-sericite schist from the upper formation crystallized at 499±2 and 478±2 Ma, respectively, corresponding to different volcanic events. Meta-volcanic rocks of the Bainaimiao Group belong to the calcalkaline series, and the SiO2 concentrations suggest that their protoliths were mainly basalts and rhyolites. Greenschist rocks of the group are enriched in light rare earth elements(LREEs) relative to heavy rare earth elements(HREEs), with(La/Yb)N ratios of 3.08–10.9. In addition, they are enriched in large-ion lithophile elements, including Rb, Ba and K, and depleted in the high-field-strength elements Nb, Ta and Ti. The felsic meta-volcanic rocks also exhibit relative enrichments in LREEs compared with HREEs, with high(La/Yb)N ratios of 2.92–9.89, and are enriched in Rb, Ba, Zr and Hf, and depleted in Sr, Nb and Ta. These geochemical characteristics indicate that the meta-basic volcanic rocks were originated from partial melting of sub-arc mantle wedge that had been previously metasomatized by subducted-slab-derived fluids, whereas the meta-felsic volcanic rocks were generated by partial melting of continental crust. These results suggest that the meta-volcanic rocks of the Bainaimiao Group are the products of oceanic plate subduction magmatism along an active continental margin, which can be attributed to Early Paleozoic subduction of the PaleoAsian Ocean plate beneath the northern margin of the North China Craton.

Hot dry rock(HDR)geothermal energy is a kind of widely distributed clean energy with huge ***,its commercial development has been constrained by reservoir *** the early stage of HDR geothermal energy development,properly determining spatial distribution patterns of natural fractures in HDR reservoirs can effectively guide reservoir *** study analyzes the spatial distribution of natural fractures by using FracMan software based on the actual geological data and log data of well M-2 in the Matouying Uplift area,hebei *** fracture parameters are counted and Monte Carlo simulation technique is introduced to optimize the parameters,which makes the natural fracture model more accurate and ***,this study simulates hydraulic fracturing using the model combined with the actual in-situ stress parameters and the construction *** verified by fitting the changes in simulated wellhead pressure during hydraulic fracturing with the actual wellhead pressure data detected during construction,the methods for natural fracture modeling used in this study are scientific and *** preliminary prediction results show that the displacement design scheme with a pump displacement of 2.0-3.0 m^(3)/min,4.0-5.5 m^(3)/min and 6-7 m^(3)/min in the early,middle and late stages,respectively,has good fracturing *** results of this study can be utilized as a reference for preparing development schemes for HDR reservoirs.

The Baishitouopan amaznito and topazbearing granite is one of the typical high-rubidium andhigh-fluorine granites in the eastern paft of the Mid-Tianshan belt. This intrusion is in sharp contactwith Mid-Proterozoic schists, gneisses and marbles, and is compond of four zones transihonal fromthe bottom upwards: leucogranite, amazonite granite, topaz-bearing amazonite granite and topazquartz *** Baishitouquan granite contains highly ordered K-feldspar, Li-rich mica, Mn-rich gamet,a-quartz and low-temerature rircon and is chemically high in Si, K, Na, Al, Li, Rb, Cs and F,and low in Ti, Fe, Ch, Mg, P, Ch, Ni, Cr, V, Sr and Ba, with Na2O>K2O. Amazonite fromthe amazonite granite zone contains 1867 ppm Rb. The F contents of bulk rocks are 3040 and4597 for the amazonite granite and topazbearing amazonite granite zones, respectivel. These twozones have δ18O values of 8.97 - 9.85%, (SMOW) and show flat REE distribution patterns withstrong Eu depletion. KAr and Rb-Sr ages of this intrusion are 226. 6 Ma and 209. 6 Marespectively, with an initial 87Sr/86Sr ratio of 0.987±*** Baishitouquan granite is the product of crystallization of a lowtemperature, and wther,rubidium. and fluorine-rich magma , which may have been derived from partial melting ofmuscoviterich crustal rocks. Consolidation of this granite involved two contrasting and successivestagst melt crystallization and hydrothermal metasomasm and pforitation. Various geological features of this granite were formed during the transition from the magmatic to the hydrothermal stage.

Geodynamic mechanism responsible for the generation of Silurian granitoids and the tectonic evolution of the Qilian orogenic belt remains controversial. In this study, we report the results of zircon U–Pb age, and systematic whole-rock geochemical data for the Haoquangou and Liujiaxia granitoids within the North Qilian orogenic belt and the Qilian Block, respectively, to constrain their petrogenesis, and the Silurian tectonic evolution of the Qilian orogenic belt. Zircon U–Pb ages indicate that the Haoquangou and Liujiaxia intrusions were emplaced at423 ± 3 Ma and 432 ± 4 Ma, respectively. The Haoquangou granodiorites are calc-alkaline, while the Liujiaxia granites belong to the high-K calc-alkaline *** are peraluminous in composition and have relatively depleted Nd isotopic [ε_(Nd)(t) =(-3.9 – + 0.6)] characteristics compared with regional basement rocks, implying their derivation from a juvenile lower crust. They show adakitic geochemical characteristics and were generated by partial melting of thickened lower continental crust. Postcollisional extensional regime related to lithospheric delamination was the most likely geodynamic mechanism for the generation of the Haoquangou granodiorite, while the Liujiaxia granites were generated in a compressive setting during continental collision between the Qaidam and Qilian blocks.
