The global spin alignment of vector mesons has been observed by the STAR collaboration at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider （RHIC） at Brookhaven National Laboratory （BNL）.It provides a unique opportunity to probe the correlation between the polarized quark and antiquark in the strongly coupled quark-gluon plasma （sQGP） produced in relativistic heavy ion collisions,opening a new window to explore the properties of s *** addition,spin alignments of vector mesons have also been observed in other high-energy particle collisions such as e+e-annihilations at high energies where hadron production is dominated by quark fragmentation *** results obtained are quite different from those obtained in heavy ion collisions where quark coalescence/combination mechanism dominates suggesting strong dependence on hadronization *** comprehensive studies in different hadronization processes are *** this article,we present a brief review of theoretical and experimental advances in the study of vector meson’s spin alignments in a variety of high-energy particle collisions,with emphasis on hadronization mechanisms.

The problem of glitch crisis has been a great deal of debate recently. It might challenge the standard two- component model, where glitches are thought to be triggered by the sudden unpinning of superfluid vortices in the neutron-star crust. It says that due to crustal entrainment the amount of superfluid in the crust cannot explain the changes in angular momentum required to account for the glitches. However7 the argument of this crisis is based on the assumption that the core superfluid is completely coupled to the crust when a glitch happens. The fraction of the coupled core part is actually a quite uncertain problem so far. In this work, we take three possible values for the fraction of the coupled core part and study in detail the crisis problem for a 1.4M⊙ canonical star, based on a microscopic equation of state for the neutron star＇s core using the Brueckner-Hartree-Fock approach. For this purpose, two requisite parameters are chosen as follows： the core-crust transition pressure is in the range of Pt = 0.2-0.65 MeV/fm3, and the fractional crust radius AR/R = 0.082 based on experiments. To account for the possibility of a heavier star, a larger value of AR/R = 0.15 is also chosen for comparison. Then we take the crustal entrainment into account, and evaluate the predictions for the fractional moment of inertia at various conditions. The results show that there is commonly no such glitch crisis, as long as one considers only a small fraction of the core neutron superfluid will contribute to the charged component of the star. Only if the core-crust transition pressure is determined to be a low value, the crisis problem may appear for complete core-crust coupling. This is consistent with a recent study in a phenomenological model.

We propose a refined version of trans-Planckian censorship conjecture(TCC), which could be elaborated from the strong scalar weak gravity conjecture combined with some entropy bounds. In particular, no fine-tuning on the inflation model-building is required in the refined TCC, and it automatically passes the tests from those stringy examples that support the original ***, our refined TCC could be consistent with hilltop eternal inflation.

We investigate possible ways in which a quantum wavepacket spreads. We show that in a general class of double kicked rotor system, a wavepacket may undergo superballistic spreading; i.e., its variance increases as the cubic of time. The conditions for the observed superballistic spreading and two related characteristic time scales are studied. Our results suggest that the symmetry of the studied model and whether it is a Kolmogorov-Arnold-Moser system are crucial to its wavepacket spreading behavior. Our study also sheds new light on the exponential wavepacket spreading phenomenon previously observed in the double kicked rotor system.

Mayer derived the Mayer series from both the canonical ensemble and the grand canonical ensemble by use of the cluster expansion method. In 2002, we conjectured a recursion formula of the canonical partition function of a fluid(X.Z. Wang, Phys. Rev. E66(2002) 056102). In this paper we give a proof for this formula by developing an appropriate expansion of the integrand of the canonical partition function. We further derive the Mayer series solely from the canonical ensemble by use of this recursion formula.

We study the recent e±cosmic ray excess reported by DAMPE in a Hidden Valley Model with lepton-portal dark matter. We find the electron-portal can account for the excess well and satisfy the DM relic density and direct detection bounds, while electron+muon/electron+muon+tau-portal suffers from strong constraints from lepton flavor violating observables, such as μ→3 e. We also discuss possible collider signatures of our model, both at the LHC and a future 100 Te V hadron collider.
