Consideration of healthy Eating Obsession (Orthorexia Nervosa) for Students Educated in Nutrition and Dietetics Department

Objective:It was conducted to evaluate the susceptibility to ON(orthorexia nervosa)in the students of the nutrition and dietetics department according to the variables of gender,age and BMI(body massındex).Subjects and Methods:The research covers the students of Marmara University Faculty of health Sciences,Department of Nutrition and Dietetics in September-October 2017-2018 academic *** data were collected by survey ***-demographic characteristics and anthropometric measurements of the participants were ***-40(Eating Attitude Test),ORTO-15 test and MOCI(Maudsley Obsessive Compulsive Inventory)were used in the *** was evaluated with SPSS(The Statistical Package for The social Sciences)21.0 ***:205 people participated in the ***-40 scores were found to be≤20 in 94%of the women and 95.2%of the men in the *** EAT-40 score is≥21 in 6%of women and 4.8%of men in the study(p=0.646>0.05).The ORTO-15 score of 72.3%of women and 71.4%of men is≤40(p=0.934>0.05).EAT-40 average is 10.25±1.10 in *** was found to be 9.21±0.42 in normals and 8.23±0.76 in slightly obese subjects(p=0.758>0.05).ORTO-15 average of those with BMI≤18.49 kg/m2 is 39.59±0.54;Those with 18.50-24.99 kg/m2 were found to be 38.30±0.25 and those with 25.00-29.99 kg/m2 were found to be 39.54±0.75(p=0.098>0.05).As the EAT-40 score increased,the ORTO-15 score *** shows a negative,statistically significant difference between EAT-40 and ORTO-15 scores(p=0.00<0.05).Conclusion:It was concluded that orthorexic tendency is common(72.2%)in nutrition dietetic students,and ON is associated with BMI and EAT-40 *** terms of ON,it would be beneficial to conduct comprehensive international studies and determine DSM(Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders)diagnostic criteria.

Google Earth Engine Based Three Decadal Landsat Imagery Analysis for Mapping of Mangrove Forests and Its Surroundings in the Trat Province of Thailand

Monitoring and understanding the changes in mangrove ecosystems and their surroundings are required to determine how mangrove ecosystems are constantly changing while influenced by anthropogenic, and natural drivers. Cosistency in high spatial resolution (30 m) satellite and high performance computing facilities are limiting factors to the process, with storage and analysis requirements. With this, we present the Google Earth Engine (GEE) based approach for long term mapping of mangrove forests and their surroundings. In this study, we used a GEE based approach: 1) to create atmospheric contamination free data from 1987-2017 from different Landsat satellite imagery;and 2) evaluating the random forest classifier and post classification change detection method. The obtained overall accuracy for the years 1987 and 2017 was determined to be 0.87 and 0.96, followed by a Kappa coefficient 0.80 and 0.94. The change detection results revealed a significant decrease in the agricultural area, while there was an increase in mangrove forest, shrimp/fish farm, and bareland area. The results suggest that interconversion of land use and land cover is affecting the landscape dynamics within the study area.

＂Questionable＂ Behaviors and Practices in Academic Productivity in Postgraduate Studies in Mexico

This paper reports the results acquired in a research work about "questionable" practices and behaviors in the academic production of researches and postgraduate social sciences and humanities studies of the programs that are appointed by the National Program of Quality Postgraduate Studies (PNPC, by its acronym in Spanish) in Mexico. Through a qualitative methodology, the authors interpreted some of the arguments that explain and/or justify certain practices in relation to doubled production, authorship, and coauthorship of academic products. In this paper, the authors present and analyze the results that they obtained after reviewing documents produced by professors and students of six postgraduate programs that are taught in two Mexican public universities. At the same time, the authors examine some of the practices that take place within said programs, given the institutional demands of improving finished studies efficiency. One of the hypotheses of this work is the demands that are imposed by external evaluations of academic processes on professors and their programs in order to reach desirable rates with the purpose of maintaining or increasing the levels of productivity, gives way to certain practices that must be analyzed. This work"s theoretic framework is constituted by the contributions of career sociology and professional ethics.

Domesticated buffaloes have been integral to rice-paddy agro-ecosystems for millennia, yet relatively little is known about the buffalo genomics. Here, we sequenced and assembled reference genomes for both swamp and river buffaloes and we re-sequenced 230 individuals(132 swamp buffaloes and 98 river buffaloes)sampled from across Asia and Europe. Beyond the many actionable insights that our study revealed about the domestication, basic physiology and breeding of buffalo, we made the striking discovery that the divergent domestication traits between swamp and river buffaloes can be explained with recent selections of genes on social behavior, digestion metabolism, strengths and milk production.

Understanding and detecting the intended meaning in social media is challenging because social media messages contain varieties of noise and chaos that are irrelevant to the themes of *** example,conventional supervised classification approaches would produce inconsistent solutions to detecting and clarifying whether any given Twitter message is really about a wildfire ***,a renovated workflow was designed and *** workflow consists of four sequential procedures:(1)Apply the latent semantic analysis and cosine similarity calculation to examine the similarity between Twitter messages;(2)Apply Affinity Propagation to identify exemplars of Twitter messages;(3)Apply the cosine similarity calculation again to automatically match the exemplars to known training results,and(4)Apply accumulative exemplars to classify Twitter messages using a support vector machine *** overall correction ratio was over 90%when a series of ongoing and historical wildfire events were examined.

The Rural Women Participation in Small Scale Livestock Management Decisions

In the Turkish society, family is accepted as the basic element of social structure. However, the role and importance ofwomen in the family is mostly neglected. Thirty-three percent of women state that their primary duties are child care and domestictask. Besides duties of women in the house, the participation of women to both agricultural production and activities outside thehouse is quite high. On the other hand, only 5% of women accept income generating activities as the main duty of women. Thepercentage of women who accept all above-mentioned responsibilities as women’s duty is 60%. This high ratio shows that agreat deal of women can participate indoor or outdoor activities depending on the family needs, however, their responsibilitiesstemming from being a mother or wife always have thepriority. However, in rural areas women are involved in agriculturalproduction activities as a labor, in adition to housework, care for children and the elderly. In small and medium-sized enterprises,labor-intensive work is mostly undertaken by women, and workloads are often higher than men. In this study, face-to-face surveyswith 84 women in small-scale livestock farming in villages in the central province of Diyarbakır yielded results. It has beenunderstood that women do not make decisions on domestic affairs in their own family, that they can not decide on their own behalf,they give more opinions on decisions taken, and even some families do not even report opinions on decisions. It may be possible toimprove and increase the living standards and social and economic structures of women living in rural areas by increasing theirknowledge of animal care.
