Objectives: We describe a novel rehabilitation tool for patients with homonymo us hemianopia based on a visual search (VS) paradigm that is portable, inexpensi ve, and easy to deploy. We hypothesised that by training patients to improve the efficiency of eye movements made in their blind field their disability would be alleviated. Methods: Twenty nine patients with homonymous visual field defects (HVFD) without neglect practised VS paradigms in 20 daily sessions over one mont h. Search fields comprising randomly positioned target and distracter elements, differing by a single feature, were displayed for three seconds on a dedicated t elevision monitor in the patientshomes. Improvements were assessed by examinin g response time (RT), error rates in VS, perimetric visual fields (VFs) and visu al search fields (VSFs), before and after treatment. Functional improvements wer e measured using objective visual tasks which represented activities of daily li ving (ADL) and a subjective questionnaire. Results: As a group the patients had significantly shorter mean RT in VS after training (p < 0.001) and demonstrated a variety of mechanisms to account for this. Improvements were confined to the t raining period and maintained at follow up. Three patients had significantly lon ger RT after training. They had high initial error rates which improved with tra ining. Patients performed ADL tasks significantly faster after training and repo rted significant subjective improvements. There was no concomitant enlargement o f the VF, but there was a small but significant enlargement of the VSF. Conclusi on: Patients can improve VS with *** usually involves shorter RTs, but occasionally a longer RT in a complex speed accuracy trade off. These changes translate to improved overall visual function, assessed objectively and subject ively, suggesting that they represent robust training effects. Objective:As a popular complementary therapy,the safety of acupuncture must be *** case reports of adverse events(ACR-AEs)significantly contribute to the assessment of acupuncture ***,the reporting quality of ACR-AEs remains *** aimed to promote the application of the CARE(case report)guidelines and improve the reporting quality of ***:We systematically searched for ACR-AE from six databases:Medline,Embase,Chinese Biomedical Literature Service System,China National Knowledge Infrastructure,Wanfang Data,and VIP,and collected published ACR-AEs from January 1,2016,to December 31,*** included only case reports of adverse events related to acupuncture *** retrieved case reports were screened and filtered by two reviewers ***,basic information extraction and CARE evaluation of the included ACR-AEs ***:A total of 56 ACR-AE were included,15 of which were from *** top two major diseases were nervous system diseases(28.6%)and infections(21.4%).For all ACR-AEs,seven of 30 CARE subordinate items were reported in 30%or less,seven items were reported in 30-60%,and only five items got reporting proportion over 90%.In Chinese ACR-AE,only three items,"the main concerns and symptoms of the patient(5b)","types of intervention(9a)"and"adverse and unanticipated events(1od)"were sufficiently *** English ACR-AE,item"the main concerns and symptoms of the patient(5b)"and item"the primary takeaway lessons(11d)"were also generally ***:Overall,the reporting quality of ACR-AE was unsatisfactory,and we believe that a special reporting guideline for clinical cases targeted at acupuncture should be extended in future studies.

Background:To analyze the clinical features of convalescent individuals with novel coronavirus-infected pneumonia(novel coronavirus pneumonia)at rehabilitation station in ***:712 patients in the convalescence period of novel coronavirus pneumonia isolated and observed at the rehabilitation station were investigated by collecting their basic data,clinical syndrome features,and tongue *** clinical syndrome features were analyzed based on guidelines of Diagnosis and Treatment Plan for Novel Coronavirus-infected Pneumonia(National health Commission of the People’s Republic of China,7th Trial Edition).Results:Cough(24.86%),chest tightness and shortness of breath(23.17%),and fatigue(16.57%)were the main symptoms of patients in the convalescence period of novel coronavirus *** tongue appearance was mostly characterized by redness(88.65%),thick coating(67.25%),greasy coating(49.78%)and white coating(76.86%).Conclusion:Compared with the ordinary/mild patients,cough and anorexia symptoms were more common in the severe/critical *** convalescent patients,red and fat tongue with thick greasy fur were common.
