During the boreal summer,intraseasonal oscillations exhibit significant interannual variations in intensity over two key regions:the central-western equatorial Pacific(5°S-5°N,150°E-150°W)and the subtropical Northwestern Pacific(10°-20°N,130°E-175°W).The former is well-documented and considered to be influenced by the ENSO,while the latter has received comparatively less attention and is likely influenced by the Pacific Meridional Mode(PMM),as suggested by partial correlation analysis *** elucidate the physical processes responsible for the enhanced(weakened)intraseasonal convection over the subtropical northwestern Pacific during warm(cold)PMM years,the authors employed a moisture budget *** findings reveal that during warm PMM years,there is an increase in summer-mean moisture over the subtropical northwestern *** increase interacts with intensified vertical motion perturbations in the region,leading to greater vertical moisture advection in the lower troposphere and consequently resulting in convective *** a process is pivotal in amplifying intraseasonal convection *** observational findings were further verified by model experiments forced by PMM-like sea surface temperature patterns.

Drought across Northwest China in late spring has exerted a vital effect on the local climate and agricultural production,and has been alleviated during the past *** study explored the influence of the preceding Arctic sea ice on the May drought in Northwest China caused by the precipitation *** analysis indicated that when the Greenland Sea ice concentration is abnormally high during February to April,the dry conditions in Northwest China tend to be *** increase of sea ice in the Greenland Sea can excite a meridional circulation,which causes sea surface temperature(SST)anomalies in the North Atlantic via the sea-air interaction,manifested as significant warm SST anomalies over the south of Greenland and the subtropical North Atlantic,but negative SST anomalies over the west of the *** abnormal SST pattern maintains to May and triggers a zonal wave train from the North Atlantic through Scandinavia and Central Asia to Northwest China,leading to abnormal cyclones in Northwest ***,Northwest China experiences a more humid climate than usual.

Birth is the transition from fetal life to ectopic life. This transition is usually smooth. Only 10% of newborns will need birth assistance. Successful resuscitation is linked to the skills of the health worker. It is to assess their skills that this work was undertaken with the objective of evaluating the practice of neonatal resuscitation in the delivery room of the RHC maternity hospital in District V of Bamako. Methodology: This was a descriptive cross-sectional study over a four-month period. We included in the study all live newborns who had a gestational age greater than or equal to 32 weeks and who had an Apgar score at the first minute of less than 7. At each birth, we observe the health agent responsible for the care of the newborn by observing the preparation of resuscitation and compliance with the neonatal resuscitation algorithm. We have excluded all newborns who met our inclusion criteria, were reanimated outside of our collection time and had visible or diagnosed anomalies or malformations in the prenatal period, and those whose parents refused to give their consent to participate in the study. Data were collected from the survey sheet and analyzed with the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) software version 25. Results: We observed a 24.66% frequency of neonatal resuscitation. Pregnancies were too close in 15% (less than one year). Caesarean section delivery represented 34% of the sample. They were at term in 93% of cases. All newborns were well dried (98.5%), with wet linen change only at 49.5%. Apgar was less than 3 in 7.5% of newborns at first. The resuscitation needs were for the absence of a scream in 78.5% of cases and or heart rate Conclusion: The study evaluated neonatal resuscitation practices at a maternity hospital in Bamako, Mali. It found a 24.66% resuscitation rate, with a 95.5% success rate despite technical limitations. Most steps were correctly applied, though some improvements are needed in areas like preventing hypothe

Several phosphoinositide 3-kinase(PI3 K) inhibitors are currently approved to treat hematolymphatic malignant diseases worldwide, and many drugs that have the same target are in the clinical research stage. In March 2022,duvelisib became the first PI3 K inhibitor approved in China indicated for the treatment of hematolymphatic malignant diseases. Meanwhile, linperlisib and copanlisib have almost completed the technical review of the clinical specialty. The center for Drug evaluation(CDE) of the China National Medical Products Administration(NMPA) found that class I PI3 K inhibitors can cause various degrees of immune-related adverse events, which are associated with action mechanisms, affecting the benefit-risk assessment of the drugs. On April 21, 2021, the United States Food and Drug Administration(FDA) convened the Oncologic Drugs Advisory Committee(ODAC)meeting to discuss the safety of PI3 K inhibitors indicated for hematolymphatic malignancies and their related risk of death. The hematological tumor group of CDE of the China NMPA summarized and combined the data on PI3 K inhibitors listed or under technical review for marketing authorization applications and found that such products may have unique efficacy and safety characteristics in Chinese patients with malignant lymphoma.

Background: In Mali, contraceptive prevalence is low, while the unmet need for family planning is very high. Postpartum contraception can help to significantly reduce these unsatisfied needs. The introduction of the intrauterine device (IUD) in the postpartum quickly encountered problems with the type of forceps used to make the insertions (Kelly or Heart forceps), and also their availability at the various health centers. Thus, in 2016, the Population Services International Mali (PSI-Mali) introduced the insertion of the IUD in the postpartum with the new inserter in order to counter this forceps problem and to contribute to guaranteeing the quality of postpartum IUD insertions. Objectives: They were to determine the frequency, the socio-demographic and clinical characteristics and to report the side effects and the complications. Methods: This was a descriptive and analytical cross-sectional study from September 1st 2016 to August 31st, 2018. All deliveries that met the eligibility criteria, having chosen and benefited the postpartum intra-uterine device with the new inserter were included. Results: During the 2 years, we recorded 73 cases of insertion of the postpartum intra-uterine device with the new inserter over 7797 clients meeting of the world health organization’s criteria of medical admissibility for the use of an intra-uterine device with a frequency of 0.93%. They were married in 97% of cases, large multiparous in 48% of cases, aged between 30 and 39 years in 62% of cases. We didn’t notice any complications in 96% of cases. Expulsion with 4% was the only complication. The clients didn’t have any side effects in 98% of cases. Conclusion: The insertion of a postpartum intra-uterine device with the new inserter has supplanted the insertion techniques using forceps in our center because of its ease and speed. Its use is worth being popularized to help reduce the unmet need for family planning.

Patients with complete spinal cord injury retain the potential for volitional muscle activity in muscles located below the spinal injury ***,because of prolonged inactivity,initial attempts to activate these muscles may not effectively engage any of the remaining neurons in the descending pathway.A previous study unexpectedly found that a brief clinical round of passive activity significantly increased volitional muscle activation,as measured by surface *** this study,we further explored the effect of passive activity on surface electromyographic signals during volitional control tasks among individuals with complete spinal cord *** patients with chronic complete thoracic spinal cord injury were *** electromyography data from eight major leg muscles were acquired and compared before and after the passive activity *** results indicated that the passive activity led to an increased number of activated volitional muscles and an increased frequency of *** the cumulative root mean square of surface electromyography amplitude for volitional control of movement showed a slight increase after passive activity,the difference was not statistically *** findings suggest that brief passive activity may enhance the ability to initiate volitional muscle activity during surface electromyography tasks and underscore the potential of passive activity for improving residual motor control among patients with motor complete spinal cord injury.

Due to the lack of accurate data and complex parameterization,the prediction of groundwater depth is a chal-lenge for numerical *** learning can effectively solve this issue and has been proven useful in the prediction of groundwater depth in many *** this study,two new models are applied to the prediction of groundwater depth in the Ningxia area,*** two models combine the improved dung beetle optimizer(DBO)algorithm with two deep learning models:The Multi-head Attention-Convolution Neural Network-Long Short Term Memory networks(MH-CNN-LSTM)and the Multi-head Attention-Convolution Neural Network-Gated Recurrent Unit(MH-CNN-GRU).The models with DBO show better prediction performance,with larger R(correlation coefficient),RPD(residual prediction deviation),and lower RMSE(root-mean-square error).Com-pared with the models with the original DBO,the R and RPD of models with the improved DBO increase by over 1.5%,and the RMSE decreases by over 1.8%,indicating better prediction *** addition,compared with the multiple linear regression model,a traditional statistical model,deep learning models have better prediction performance.

Introduction: Family planning is an important service for everyone and contributes to the protection of women from unwanted pregnancies. In Burundi, it remains at a low rate due to different factors such as fear of side effects, low education level, and notably religious guidance. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the knowledge and practice regarding family planning among Christians pregnant women of Gihanga attending antenatal care at vyizigiro health center. Methods: This cross-sectional study of Christians pregnant women attending antenatal care was conducted at Vyizigiro health center of Gihanga, Burundi in May 2021. The data were collected on a small sheet done in English, and translated into Kirundi’s local language. In this study, were included all women fulfilled all criteria, and were excluded from all impregnated women who were not Christians and refused to participate in the study. Data were analyzed using SPSS. Results: In the current study, among 129 pregnant women who attended antenatal care at Vyizigiro health center in the period of 1 to 30 October 2020, 118 of them were interviewed. The study found that the participants have low knowledge regarding family planning as participants scored less than 50% in all items assessed for knowledge and its practice was hindered by religious guidance (41.7%), while others refused modern contraceptives for fear of side effects (13%), lack of sufficient information about it (7.4%) and 5.6% were denied by their husband. Conclusion: This study found a low knowledge and practice regarding family planning among the Christians pregnant women of Gihanga attending antenatal care at Vyizigiro health center due to their religious beliefs, fear of side effects, and lack of sufficient information or their husband who don’t want family planning services.
