Transistors have been reshaping our lives since their initial appearance in the 1940s.As the central element of logic gates and integrated circuits(chips),they undoubtedly play an incomparable role in promoting the development of computers,smartphones,flat panel displays,Internet of Things,and even all electronic or electrical systems.The past decades have witnessed dominant transistors usually made from inorganic semiconductors such as silicon materials and metal oxides,which are advantageous to achieve high mobility,fast switching speed,and excellent stability.Thus,silicon transistors and metal oxide semiconductor field-effect transistors have been broadly used for electronic applications.However,these transistors are rigid and nearly approaching the fundamental limits on speed and power consumption,despite being manufactured at a much smaller scale to meet the projection of Moore’s law.As future transistors with mechanical flexibility/robustness and low-power consumption are demanded,innovation in functional materials,device configurations,and integrated processing techniques to facilitate the evolution from rigid devices to soft,durable,and biocompatible devices is imperative.

Liver transplantation is the primary therapeutic intervention for end-stage liver disease.However,vascular complications,particularly those involving the hepatic artery,pose significant risks to patients.The clinical manifestations associated with early arterial complications following liver transplantation are often non-specific.Without timely intervention,these complications can result in graft fai-lure or patient mortality.Therefore,early diagnosis and the formulation of an op-timal treatment plan are imperative.Ultrasound examination remains the pre-dominant imaging modality for detecting complications post liver transplan-tation.This article comprehensively reviews common causes and clinical present-ations of early hepatic artery complications in the post-transplantation period and delineates abnormal sonographic findings for accurate diagnosis of these con-ditions.Overall,ultrasound offers the advantages of convenience,safety,effect-iveness,and non-invasiveness.It enables real-time,dynamic,and precise evalua-tion,making it the preferred diagnostic method for post-liver transplantation assessments.INTRODUCTION Liver transplantation stands as the primary therapeutic approach for end-stage liver disease.Continuous advancements in surgical techniques and the application of novel immunosuppressive agents contribute to ongoing improvements in the success rate and overall survival in patients undergoing liver transplantation procedures.Despite these advan-cements,vascular complications,particularly those involving the hepatic artery,pose significant risks to patients.During the early stages following liver transplantation(within the first 30 d),proper hepatic artery function is crucial for hepatic arterial blood flow.During later stages,collateral circulation,including arteries such as the phrenic artery,right gastric artery,and gastroduodenal artery,becomes important for maintaining hepatic blood supply.It is now understood that the establishment of effective collateral circulation is pivotal for determining the

Phase change materials(PCMs) are a kind of highly efficient thermal storage materials which have a bright application prospect in many fields such as energy conservation in buildings,waste heat recovery,battery thermal management and so on.Especially inorganic hydrated salt PCMs have received increasing attention from researchers due to their advantages of being inexpensive and non-flammable.However,inorganic hydrated salt PCMs are still limited by the aspects of inappropriate phase change temperature,liquid phase leakage,large supercooling and severe phase separation in the application process.In this work,sodium acetate trihydrate was selected as the basic inorganic PCM,and a novel shape-stabilized composite phase change material(CPCM) with good thermal properties was prepared by adding various functional additives.At first,the sodium acetate trihydrate-acetamide binary mixture was prepared and the melting point was adjusted using acetamide.Then the binary mixture was incorporated into expanded graphite to synthesize a novel shape-stabilized CPCM.The thermophysical properties of the resultant shape-stabilized CPCM were systematically investigated.The microscopic morphology and chemical structure of the obtained shape-stabilized CPCM were characterized and analyzed.The experiment results pointed out that acetamide could effectively lower the melting point of sodium acetate trihydrate.The obtained shape-stabilized CPCM modified with additional 18%(mass fraction) acetamide and 12%(mass fraction) expanded graphite exhibited good shape stability and thermophysical characteristics:a low supercooling degree of 1.75℃ and an appropriate melting temperature of 40.77℃ were obtained;the latent heat of 151.64 kJ/kg and thermal conductivity of 1.411 W/(m·K) were also satisfactory.Moreover,after 50accelerated melting-freezing cycles,the obtained shape-stabilized CPCM represented good thermal reliability.

Skin colour is an important criterion in determining the aesthetic appeal of ornamental fishes,and thus their market worth.Hence the pigment enhancement in ornamental fishes has been the subject of extensive research by using various synthetic as well as natural pigment sources.Dietary composition is one of the most important elements that influence the development of pigmentation in fish.This study is an attempt to assess the possibility of using carotenogenic marine yeast as pigment enhancer in fish diet for Koi carp,Cyprinus carpio.The 60 days feeding experiment was done by using feed incorporated with mangrove associated marine yeast Rhodotorula paludigena VA242.Greater pigmentation in the scales of fishes fed with experimental feed was observed than that fed with the control diet(normal pellet feed).Furthermore the improved growth rate and general wellbeing in fishes fed with experimental feed provides scope for further studies in this field with respect to the growth and survival of fishes.

Neural tube defects(NTDs)are severe congenital neurodevelopmental disorders arising from incomplete neural tube closure.Although folate supplementation has been shown to mitigate the incidence of NTDs,some cases,often attributable to genetic factors,remain unpreventable.The SHROOM3 gene has been implicated in NTD cases that are unresponsive to folate supplementation;at present,however,the underlying mechanism remains unclear.Neural tube morphogenesis is a complex process involving the folding of the planar epithelium of the neural plate.To determine the role of SHROOM3 in early developmental morphogenesis,we established a neuroepithelial organoid culture system derived from cynomolgus monkeys to closely mimic the in vivo neural plate phase.Loss of SHROOM3 resulted in shorter neuroepithelial cells and smaller nuclei.These morphological changes were attributed to the insufficient recruitment of cytoskeletal proteins,namely fibrous actin(F-actin),myosin II,and phospho-myosin light chain(PMLC),to the apical side of the neuroepithelial cells.Notably,these defects were not rescued by folate supplementation.RNA sequencing revealed that differentially expressed genes were enriched in biological processes associated with cellular and organ morphogenesis.In summary,we established an authentic in vitro system to study NTDs and identified a novel mechanism for NTDs that are unresponsive to folate supplementation.

The layout and characteristics of the hard X-ray spectroscopy beamline(BL11B)at the Shanghai synchrotron radiation facility are described herein.BL11B is a bending-magnet beamline dedicated to conventional and millisecond-scale quick-scanning X-ray absorption fine structures.It is equipped with a cylindrical collimating mirror,a double-crystal monochromator comprising Si(111)and Si(311),a channel-cut quick-scanning Si(111)monochromator,a toroidal focusing mirror,and a high harmonics rejection mirror.It can provide 5-30 keV of X-rays with a photon flux of~5×10^(11)photons/s and an energy resolution of~1.31×10^(-4)at 10 keV.The performance of the beamline can satisfy the demands of users in the fields of catalysis,materials,and environmental science.This paper presents an overview of the beamline design and a detailed description of its performance and capabilities.

Forming process chain for manufacturing complex conical-section profiled rings:On a co-design method

The final quality of complex conical-section rings depends on co-design of multiple processes in forming process chain.In this study,for a complex aeroengine casing ring with a large slope and a flange on its end,a co-design method of the forming process chain is put forward towards the objective of precision forming,which not only proposes a standard process route composed of multiple processes of upsetting,punching,rectangular ring rolling,loose tooling forging and profiled ring rolling,but also presents co-design methods of dies and blanks for all the processes.For profiled ring rolling,a design method of preformed blank that makes the blank and the target conical-section ring have the same axial volume distribution is proposed.By the method,the axial metal redistribution during the process can be alleviated greatly thus improving the forming stability and precision of the ring.Based on the geometric features of designed preformed blank,design methods of blanks and dies for loose tolling forging,rectangular ring rolling,punching and upsetting are proposed sequentially.In view of the key roles of loose tooling forging(manufacturing the preformed blank)and profiled ring rolling on the final quality of the conical ring parts,inherited FE simulations for these two processes are performed to verify the proposed design methods and determine appropriate design parameter.It is demonstrated that the proposed design method has significant advantages in improving forming precision.Besides,a suggestive value 1.5 of the rolling ratio for profiled ring rolling(a key design parameter)is given based on comprehensive consideration of multiple indicators such as ring roundness,deformation uniformity and forming load.The corresponding industrial experiments performed illustrate that a high forming precision of the conical-section aeroengine casing ring is achieved.

Aqueous zinc-ion capacitors (ZICs) are considered as potential candidates for next generation electrochemical energy storage devices due to their high safety and low cost.However,the existing aqueous ZICs usually have the problems of zinc dendrite growth and unsatisfactory performance at low temperature.Herein,an erythritol (Eryt) additive with inhibition of zinc dendrites and anti-freezing capability was introduced into the ZnSO4electrolyte.The experimental characterization and theoretical calculation confirm that the Eryt adsorbed on the surface of zinc anodes regulates the deposition orientation of Zn^(2+) and inhibits the formation of dendrites.It also reconstructs the solvation structure in the electrolyte to reduce water activity,enabling the electrolyte to have a lower freezing point for operation at low temperature.With the assistance of Eryt,the Zn||Zn symmetric cell exhibits a long cycle life of 2000 h,while the ZIC assembled with activated carbon (AC) cathode and zinc anode (Zn||AC) maintains a capacity retention of 98.2% after 30,000 cycles at a current density of 10 A g^(-1)(even after 10,000 cycles at-20°C,the capacity retention rate reached 94.8%.).This work provides a highly scalable,low-cost and effective strategy for the protection of the anodes of low-temperature aqueous ZICs.
