Normal pregnancy is a contradictory and complicated physiological *** the fetus carries the human leukocyte antigen(HLA)inherited from the paternal line,it does not cause maternal immune *** the only exception to immunological principles,maternal-fetal immune tolerance has been a reproductive immunology *** early pregnancy,fetal extravillous trophoblast cells(EVTs)invade decidual tissues and come into direct contact with maternal decidual immune cells(DICs)and decidual stromal cells(DSCs)to establish a sophisticated maternal-fetal *** study reviews previous research results and focuses on the establishment and maintenance mechanism of maternal-fetal tolerance based on maternal-fetal *** into maternal-fetal tolerance will not only improve understanding of normal pregnancy but will also contribute to novel therapeutic strategies for recurrent spontaneous abortion,pre-eclampsia,and premature birth.

The aim of this experiment was to investigate the ameliorative effect and molecular mechanism of tilapia head glycolipid(TH-GL)on indomethacin(IDM)-induced gastric ulcer in male Sprague Dawley(SD)*** gastric ulcer model was established by oral administration of 30mgkg^(-1) IDM after 7 days of TH-GL or omeprazole(OME)administration in *** the macroscopic gastric injury symptoms,gastric mucosa protective factor cyclooxygenase 1(COX-1),cyclooxygenase 2(COX-2),prostaglandin E_(2)(PGE_(2)),the levels of oxidative stress,and inflammatory cytokine expression levels in the rats were *** experimental results showed that multiple ulcers appeared on the gastric surface of the rats in the model *** to the model group,TH-GL significantly alleviated gastric ulcers and reduced the gastric damage index in *** addition,TH-GL significantly promoted the expression of constitutive enzyme COX-1 while inhibited the expression of inducible enzyme COX-2,and make PGE2 maintain at normal ***-GL also inhibited oxidative stress and inflammatory responses,increased superoxide dismutase(SOD)activity and glutathione(GSH)content,decreased the level of malondialdehyde(MDA)and the content of pro-inflammatory *** conclusion,these results suggested that TH-GL could maintain the expression levels of COX-1 and PGE2 while inhibit the expression of COX-2 in the gastric of rat and then prevent IDM-induced gastric ulcer,which may be related to the regulation of oxidative stress and inflammatory ***,TH-GL might be a new option for the prevention of gastric diseases induced by IDM.

Partridge tea (Mallotus fortians Muell-Arg)， an important and widely consumed substitute tea in hainan， possessed multi-biological activities. This study investigated the composition and content of phenolics-rich extracts purified from partridge tea， and then explored the effect of partridge tea polyphenol extract (PTE) on glucose and lipid metabolism disorders in type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) mice. The results showed that the dominant components in PTE included rutin (152.78 ± 2.93) mg/g， 3-chlorogenic acid (85.81 ± 3.48) mg/g， caffeic acid (63.78 ± 1.86) mg/g， catechin (12.10 ± 1.41) mg/g， gallic acid (5.24 ± 0.12) mg/g， kaempferitrin， ellagic acid， ferulic acid， caffeic acid methylester， and geraniin. After 6 weeks of PTE intervention， glucose tolerance， insulin resistance， and pancreatic β-cell function in T2DM mice have significantly improved. This improvement was corroborated by an increase in glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1); homeostasis model assessment of β-cell function (HOMA-β)， glycogen， insulin protein expression， and reduction of insulin， glycosylated serum protein (GSP)， homeostasis model assessment-insulin resistance index (HOMA-IR)， glucagon protein expression. The supplementation of PTE also seems to alleviate the inflammatory response， as evidenced by a decrease in endotoxin and inflammatory cytokine levels. Hyperglycemia-induced mitochondrial damage is alleviated by PTE intervention. Hematoxylin-eosin staining (H & E staining) and lipid profile analysis indicate that PTE intervention can help regulate lipid metabolism disorders. In addition， the integration of metabolomics and transcriptomic analysis indicates that PTE intervention could regulate glycolipid metabolism pathways related to T2DM， including insulin， AMPK， bile acid metabolism and glutathione metabolism signaling pathways. BACKGROUND The efficacy of neoadjuvant chemotherapy(NAC)in advanced gastric cancer(GC)is still a controversial *** To find factors associated with chemosensitivity to NAC treatment and to provide the optimal therapeutic strategies for GC patients receiving *** The clinical information was collected from 230 GC patients who received NAC treatment at the Central South university Xiangya School of Medicine Affiliated Haikou Hospital from January 2016 to December *** absolute shrinkage and selection operator logistic regression analysis was used to find the possible predictors.A nomogram model was employed to predict the response to *** In total 230 patients were finally included in this study,including 154 males(67.0%)and 76 females(33.0%).The mean age was(59.37±10.60)years,ranging from 24 years to 80 *** to the tumor regression grade standard,there were 95 cases in the obvious response group(grade 0 or grade 1)and 135 cases in the poor response group(grade 2 or grade 3).The obvious response rate was 41.3%.Least absolute shrinkage and selection operator analysis showed that four risk factors significantly related to the efficacy of NAC were tumor location(P<0.001),histological differentiation(P=0.001),clinical T stage(P=0.008),and carbohydrate antigen 724(P=0.008).The C-index for the prediction nomogram was *** calibration curve revealed that the predicted value exhibited good agreement with the actual *** curve analysis showed that the nomogram had a good value in clinical *** A nomogram combining tumor location,histological differentiation,clinical T stage,and carbohydrate antigen 724 showed satisfactory predictive power to the response of NAC and can be used by gastrointestinal surgeons to determine the optimal treatment strategies for advanced GC patients.

Neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder(NMOSD)is an autoimmune inflammatory demyelinating disease of the central nervous system(CNS)accompanied by blood-brain barrier(BBB)*** in microglial lipid metabolism is believed to be closely associated with the neuropathology of ***,there is limited evidence on the functional relevance of circulating lipids in CNS demyelination,cellular metabolism,and microglial ***,we found that serum low-density lipoprotein(LDL)was positively correlated with markers of neurological damage in NMOSD *** addition,we demonstrated in a mouse model of NMOSD that LDL penetrates the CNS through the leaky BBB,directly activating *** activation leads to excessive phagocytosis of myelin debris,inhibition of lipid metabolism,and increased glycolysis,ultimately exacerbating myelin *** also found that therapeutic interventions aimed at reducing circulating LDL effectively reversed the lipid metabolic dysfunction in microglia and mitigated the demyelinating injury in *** findings shed light on the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying the positive correlation between serum LDL and neurological damage,highlighting the potential therapeutic target for lowering circulating lipids to alleviate the acute demyelinating injury in NMOSD.

Nests are important structures for birds to raise their offspring and for *** birds incorporate feathers into the nest,since feathers were traditionally thought to serve the function of *** in recent years have considered that some birds place feathers in conspicuous locations in the nest for decoration to trigger a fear response in the *** this study,we investigated whether decorative feathers could deter nest usurpation by Crested Mynas(Acridotheres cristatellus)by manipulating nest box *** results revealed that Crested Mynas preferred black feathers to white feathers as decorations and occupied nest boxes decorated with black feathers significantly less than those decorated with white feathers,suggesting that black decorative feathers in the nest could be more effective in preventing nest usurpation by Crested Mynas and that white decorative feathers may have other *** black feathers in the nest are prominently placed at the edge of the nest to convey the message that“this nest is occupied”or“the owner of this nest has been preyed upon”to visitor Crested Mynas,thus effectively preventing them from usurping the nest at a later stage.
