APFA:Ameliorated Pathfinder Algorithm for Engineering Applications

Pathfinder algorithm(PFA)is a swarm intelligent optimization algorithm inspired by the collective activity behavior of swarm animals,imitating the leader in the population to guide followers in finding the best food *** algorithm has the characteristics of a simple structure and high ***,PFA faces challenges such as insufficient population diversity and susceptibility to local optima due to its inability to effectively balance the exploration and exploitation *** paper proposes an Ameliorated Pathfinder Algorithm called APFA to solve complex engineering optimization ***,a guidance mechanism based on multiple elite individuals is presented to enhance the global search capability of the ***,to improve the exploration efficiency of the algorithm,the Logistic chaos mapping is introduced to help the algorithm find more high-quality potential solutions while avoiding the worst ***,a comprehensive following strategy is designed to avoid the algorithm falling into local optima and further improve the convergence *** three strategies achieve an effective balance between exploration and exploitation overall,thus improving the optimization performance of the *** performance evaluation,APFA is validated by the CEC2022 benchmark test set and five engineering optimization problems,and compared with the state-of-the-art metaheuristic *** numerical experimental results demonstrated the superiority of APFA.

An Efficient Multi-objective Approach Based on Golden Jackal Search for Dynamic Economic Emission Dispatch

Dynamic Economic Emission Dispatch(DEED)aims to optimize control over fuel cost and pollution emission,two conflicting objectives,by scheduling the output power of various units at specific *** many methods well-performed on the DEED problem,most of them fail to achieve expected results in practice due to a lack of effective trade-off mechanisms between the convergence and diversity of non-dominated optimal dispatching *** address this issue,a new multi-objective solver called Multi-Objective Golden Jackal Optimization(MOGJO)algorithm is proposed to cope with the DEED *** proposed algorithm first stores non-dominated optimal solutions found so far into an ***,it chooses the best dispatching solution from the archive as the leader through a selection mechanism designed based on elite selection strategy and Euclidean distance index *** mechanism can guide the algorithm to search for better dispatching solutions in the direction of reducing fuel costs and pollutant ***,the basic golden jackal optimization algorithm has the drawback of insufficient search,which hinders its ability to effectively discover more Pareto *** this end,a non-linear control parameter based on the cosine function is introduced to enhance global exploration of the dispatching space,thus improving the efficiency of finding the optimal dispatching *** proposed MOGJO is evaluated on the latest CEC benchmark test functions,and its superiority over the state-of-the-art multi-objective optimizers is highlighted by performance ***,empirical results on 5-unit,10-unit,IEEE 30-bus,and 30-unit systems show that the MOGJO can provide competitive compromise scheduling solutions compared to published DEED ***,in the analysis of the Pareto dominance relationship and the Euclidean distance index,the optimal dispatching solutions provided by MOGJO are the closest to the ideal solutions for minimizing fuel costs

OIP5 Interacts with NCK2 to Mediate Human Spermatogonial Stem Cell Self-Renewal and Apoptosis through Cell Cyclins and Cycle Progression and Its Abnormality Is Correlated with Male Infertility

Spermatogonial stem cells(SSCs)have important applications in both reproduction and regenerative ***,specific genes and signaling transduction pathways in mediating fate decisions of human SSCs remain ***,we have demonstrated for the first time that OIP5(Opa interacting protein 5)controlled the self-renewal and apoptosis of human *** sequencing identified that NCK2 was a target for OIP5 in human SSCs,and interestingly,OIP5 could interact with NCK2 as shown by Co-IP(co-immunoprecipitation),IP-MS(mass spectrometry),and GST pulldown ***2 silencing decreased human SSC proliferation and DNA synthesis but enhanced their ***,NCK2 knockdown reversed the influence of OIP5 overexpression on human ***,OIP5 inhibition decreased the numbers of human SSCs at S and G2/M phases,while the levels of numerous cell cycle proteins,including cyclins A2,B1,D1,E1 and H,especially cyclin D1,were remarkably ***,whole-exome sequencing of 777 patients with nonobstructive azoospermia(NOA)revealed 54 singlenucleotide polymorphism mutations of the OIP5 gene(6.95%),while the level of OIP5 protein was obviously lower in testes of NOA patients compared to fertile ***,these results implicate that OIP5 interacts with NCK2 to modulate human SSC self-renewal and apoptosis via cell cyclins and cell cycle progression and that its mutation and/or lower expression is correlated with *** such,this study offers novel insights into molecular mechanisms underlying the fate determinations of human SSCs and the pathogenesis of NOA,and it provides new targets for treating male infertility.

Quantum circuit-based proxy blind signatures:A novel approach and experimental evaluation on the IBM quantum cloud platform

This paper presents a novel approach to proxy blind signatures in the realm of quantum circuits,aiming to enhance security while safeguarding sensitive *** main objective of this research is to introduce a quantum proxy blind signature(QPBS)protocol that utilizes quantum logical gates and quantum measurement *** QPBS protocol is constructed by the initial phase,proximal blinding message phase,remote authorization and signature phase,remote validation,and de-blinding *** innovative design ensures a secure mechanism for signing documents without revealing the content to the proxy signer,providing practical security authentication in a quantum environment under the assumption that the CNOT gates are securely *** existing approaches,our proposed QPBS protocol eliminates the need for quantum entanglement preparation,thus simplifying the implementation *** assess the effectiveness and robustness of the QPBS protocol,we conduct comprehensive simulation studies in both ideal and noisy quantum environments on the IBM quantum cloud *** results demonstrate the superior performance of the QPBS algorithm,highlighting its resilience against repudiation and forgeability,which are key security concerns in the realm of proxy blind ***,we have established authentic security thresholds(82.102%)in the presence of real noise,thereby emphasizing the practicality of our proposed solution.

The key role of myostatin b in somatic growth in fishes derived from distant hybridization

The basic mechanism of heterosis has not been systematically and completely *** previous studies,we obtained three economically important fishes that exhibit rapid growth,WR(WCC♀×RCC♂),WR-Ⅱ(WR♀×WCC♂),and WR-Ⅲ(WR-Ⅱ♀×4nAU♂),through distant ***,the mechanism underlying this rapid growth remains *** this study,we found that WR,WR-Ⅱ,and WR-Ⅲshowed muscle hypertrophy and higher muscle protein and fat contents compared with their parent species(RCC and WCC).Candidate genes responsible for this rapid growth were then obtained through an analysis of 12 muscle ***,the mRNA level of mstnb(myostatin b),which is a negative regulator of myogenesis,was significantly reduced in WR,WR-Ⅱ,and WR-Ⅲcompared with the parent *** verify the function of mstnb,a mstnb-deficient mutant RCC line was generated using the CRISPR-Cas9 *** average body weight of mstnb-deficient RCC at 12 months of age was significantly increased by 29.57%compared with that in wild-type ***,the area and number of muscle fibers were significantly increased in mstnb-deficient RCC,indicating hypertrophy and ***,the muscle protein and fat contents were significantly increased in mstnb-deficient *** molecular regulatory mechanism of mstnb was then revealed by transcription profiling,which showed that genes related to myogenesis(myod,myog,and myf5),protein synthesis(PI3K-AKT-mTOR),and lipogenesis(pparγand fabp3)were highly activated in hybrid fishes and mstnb-deficient *** study revealed that low expression or deficiency of mstnb regulates somatic growth by promoting myogenesis,protein synthesis,and lipogenesis in hybrid fishes and mstnb-deficient RCC,which provides evidence for the molecular mechanism of heterosis via distant hybridization.

Erosion-induced recovery CO_(2) sink offset the horizontal soil organic carbon removal at the basin scale

To improve soil carbon sequestration capacity,the full soil carbon cycle process needs to be understood and *** is essential to evaluate whether water erosion acts as a net source or sink of atmospheric CO_(2)at the basin scale,which encompasses the entire hydrological *** study introduced an approach that combined a spatially distributed sediment delivery model and biogeochemical model to estimate the lateral and vertical carbon fluxes by water erosion at the basin *** this coupling model to the Dongting Lake Basin,the results showed that the annual average amount of soil erosion during 1980-2020 was 1.33×10^(8)t,displaying a decreasing trend followed by a slight *** 12% of the soil organic carbon displacement was ultimately lost in the riverine systems,and the rest was deposited downhill within the *** average lateral soil organic carbon loss induced by erosion was 8.86×10^(11)g C in 1980 and 1.50×10^(11)g C in 2020,with a decline rate of 83%.A net land sink for atmospheric CO_(2)of 5.54×1011g C a^(-1)occurred during erosion,primarily through sediment burial and dynamic ***,ecological restoration projects and tillage practice policies are still significant in reducing erosion,which could improve the capacity of the carbon sink for recovery beyond the rate of horizontal carbon ***,our model enables the spatial explicit simulation of erosion-induced carbon fluxes using costeffective and easily accessible input data across large spatial scales and long ***,it offers a valuable tool for predicting the interactions between carbon dynamics,land use changes,and future climate.

Molecular mechanism of Xuebijing in treating pyogenic liver abscess complicated with sepsis

BACKGROUND:Xuebijing(XBJ)can alleviate the inflammatory response,improve organ function,and shorten the intensive care unit(ICU)stay in patients with pyogenic liver abscess(PLA)complicated with sepsis,but the molecular mechanisms have not been *** study aimed to explore the molecular mechanism of XBJ in treating PLA complicated with sepsis using a network pharmacology ***:The active ingredients and targets of XBJ were retrieved from the ETCM *** targets related to PLA and sepsis were retrieved from the GeneCards,PharmGKB,DisGeNet,Online Mendelian Inheritance in Man(OMIM),Therapeutic Targets Database(TTD),and DrugBank *** targets of PLA complicated with sepsis were mapped to the targets of XBJ to identify potential treatment ***-protein interaction networks were analyzed using the STRING *** treatment targets were imported into the Metascape platform for Gene Ontology(GO)functional enrichment and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG)pathway enrichment *** docking was performed to validate the interactions between active ingredients and core ***:XBJ was found to have 54 potential treatment targets for PLA complicated with ***-1β(IL-1β),interleukin-6(IL-6),and tumor necrosis factor(TNF)were identifi ed as core *** enrichment analysis revealed important pathways,including the interleukin-17(IL-17)signaling pathway,the TNF signaling pathway,the nuclear factor-kappa B(NF-κB)signaling pathway,and the Toll-like receptor(TLR)signaling *** docking experiments indicated stable binding between XBJ active ingredients and core ***:XBJ may exert therapeutic eff ects on PLA complicated with sepsis by modulating signaling pathways,such as the IL-17,TNF,NF-κB,and TLR pathways,and targeting IL-1β,IL-6,and TNF.

BCCLR:A Skeleton-Based Action Recognition with Graph Convolutional Network Combining Behavior Dependence and Context Clues

In recent years,skeleton-based action recognition has made great achievements in Computer Vision.A graph convolutional network(GCN)is effective for action recognition,modelling the human skeleton as a spatio-temporal *** GCNs define the graph topology by physical relations of the human ***,this predefined graph ignores the spatial relationship between non-adjacent joint pairs in special actions and the behavior dependence between joint pairs,resulting in a low recognition rate for specific actions with implicit correlation between joint *** addition,existing methods ignore the trend correlation between adjacent frames within an action and context clues,leading to erroneous action recognition with similar ***,this study proposes a learnable GCN based on behavior dependence,which considers implicit joint correlation by constructing a dynamic learnable graph with extraction of specific behavior dependence of joint *** using the weight relationship between the joint pairs,an adaptive model is *** also designs a self-attention module to obtain their inter-frame topological relationship for exploring the context of *** the shared topology and the multi-head self-attention map,the module obtains the context-based clue topology to update the dynamic graph convolution,achieving accurate recognition of different actions with similar *** experiments on public datasets demonstrate that the proposed method achieves better results and realizes higher quality representation of actions under various evaluation protocols compared to state-of-the-art methods.

Simulation of urban expansion using geographical similarity transition rules and neighbourhood sizes

Most existing cellular automata(CA)models impose strict requirements on the number and spatial distribution of *** makes it a challenge to capture spatial heterogeneity in urban dynamics and meet the modeling needs of large and complex geographic *** paper presents a CA model based on geographically optimal similarity(GOS)transition rules and similarly sized neighborhoods(SSN).By comparing the similarity in geographical configuration between samples and predicted points,the model enables a comprehensive characterization of the driving mechanism behind urban expansion and its self-organizing *** helps to mitigate the impact of sample selection and assumptions about spatial stationarity on simulation *** performance of GOS-SSN-CA simulation was tested by taking the urban expansion in the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan urban agglomeration in China as an *** results show that GOS can derive more accurate and reliable urban transition rules with fewer samples,thereby significantly reducing spatial prediction errors compared with logistic ***,SSN selects different neighborhood sizes to represent the difference between the local self-organizing range and surrounding cells,thus further improving the simulation accuracy and restricting urban expansion ***,GOS-SSN-CA effectively characterizes the geographical similarity of urban expansion,improves simulation accuracy while constraining the urban expansion form,and enhances the practical application value of CA.
