Resilient performance of self-centering hybrid rocking walls with curved interface under pseudo-static loading

Frame and rocking wall(FRW)structures have excellent resilient performance during ***,the co.crete at interfacial co.ners of rocking walls(RWs)is easily crushed due to local extreme co.pression during the rocking *** innovative RW with a curved interface is proposed to prevent interfacial co.ners from producing local damage,enhancing its earthquake resilient performance(ERP).The precast wall panel with a curved interface is assembled into an integral self-centering hybrid rocking wall(SCRW)by two post-tensioned unbonded prestressed ***,two ordinary energy dissipation steel rebars and two shear reinforcements are arranged to increase the energy dissipation capacity and lateral *** SCRW specimens and one monolithic reinforced co.crete(RC)shear wall(SW)were tested under pseudo-static loading to co.pare the ERPs of the proposed SCRW and the SW,focusing on studying the effect of the curved interface on the *** key resilient performance of rocking effects,failure modes,and hysteretic properties of the SCRW were *** results show that nonlinear deformations of the SCRW are co.centrated along the interface between the SCRW and the foundation,avoiding damage within the *** restoring force provided by the prestressed tendons can effectively realize self-centering capacity with small residual deformation,and the resilient performance of the SCRW is better than that of monolithic *** addition,the curved interface of the SCRW makes the rocking center change and move inward,partially relieving the stress co.centration and crush of *** rocking range of the rocking center is about 41.4%of the width of the SCRW.

Multi-Head Attention Spatial-Temporal Graph Neural Networks for Traffic Forecasting

Accurate traffic prediction is crucial for an intelligent traffic system (ITS). However, the excessive non-linearity and co.plexity of the spatial-temporal co.relation in traffic flow severely limit the prediction accuracy of most existing models, which simply stack temporal and spatial modules and fail to capture spatial-temporal features effectively. To improve the prediction accuracy, a multi-head attention spatial-temporal graph neural network (MSTNet) is proposed in this paper. First, the traffic data is deco.posed into unique time spans that co.form to positive rules, and valuable traffic node attributes are mined through an adaptive graph structure. Seco.d, time and spatial features are captured using a multi-head attention spatial-temporal module. Finally, a multi-step prediction module is used to achieve future traffic co.dition prediction. Numerical experiments were co.ducted on an open-source dataset, and the results demonstrate that MSTNet performs well in spatial-temporal feature extraction and achieves more positive forecasting results than the baseline methods.

Unco.ering the co.pling effect with energy-related carbon emissions and human development variety in Chinese provinces

Lessening energy-related carbon emissions has beco.e a crucial measure to achieve Chinese carbon *** study is the first to co.struct a Difference in Carbon pressures-adjusted Human Development Index(DCHDI)model for the purpose of exploring the co.pling effect between carbon emissions and human development variety from 2000 to 2019 in Chinese *** demonstrate the following.(1)The total energy-related carbon footprint of 30 provinces in China reached 10.2 billion tons in 2019,with an average annual growth rate of 6.93% over the past two decades;and the provinces with the highest carbon emissions per capita are InnerMongolia,Ningxia,and Shanxi.(2)At the provincial level,we observed that the Human Development Index(HDI),which includes life expectancy,education,and inco.e,has been rising,while Beijing,Shanghai,and Tianjin entered the super-high HDI level before 2008.(3)The entire co.pling effect of 30 Chinese provinces has been broadly fortified in the last 20 years,but the growth rate of DCHDI values in 2011-2019 has slowed down co.pared with that in 2000-2010;the clustering phenomenon demonstrated that this disco.ery is associated with historical peaks in total carbon emissions.(4)The co.ordination degree of carbon emissions per capita and HDI was verified,and 96% of the data points were found in the range of super high co.pling co.rdination ***,this study provides the government with worthwhile guidance for decision-making and carbon reduction strategies for other co.ntries struggling to advance human sustainable development.

Road sub-surface defect detection based on gprMax forward simulation-sample generation and Swin Transformer-YOLOX

Training samples for deep learning networks are typically obtained through various field experiments,which require significant manpower,resource and time ***,it is possible to utilize simulated data to augment the training *** this paper,by co.paring the actual experimental model with the simulated model generated by the gprMax[1]forward simulation method,the feasibility of obtaining simulated samples through gprMax simulation is ***,the samples generated by gprMax forward simulation are used for training the network to detect objects in existing real *** the same time,aiming at the detection and intelligent reco.nition of road sub-surface defects,the Swin-YOLOX algorithm is introduced,and the excellence of the detection network,which is improved by augmenting the simulated samples with real samples,is further *** co.paring the prediction performance of the object detection models,it is observed that the model trained with mixed samples achieved a recall of 94.74%and a mean average precision(maP)of 97.71%,surpassing the model trained only on real samples by 12.95%and 15.64%,*** feasibility and excellence of training the model with mixed samples are *** potential of using a fusion of simulated and existing real samples instead of repeatedly acquiring new real samples by field experiment is demonstrated by this study,thereby improving detection efficiency,saving resources,and providing a new approach to the problem of multiple interpretations in ground penetrating radar(GPR)data.

A Tiny Example Based Procedural Model for real-Time Glinty Appearance Rendering

The glinty details from co.plex microstructures significantly enhance rendering ***,the previous methods use high-resolution normal maps to define each micro-geometry,which requires huge memory *** paper observes that many self-similarity materials have independent structural characteristics,which we define as tiny example *** propose a procedural model to represent microstructures implicitly by performing spatial transformations and spatial distribution on tiny ***,we preco.pute normal distribution functions(NDFs)by 4D Gaussians for tiny examples and store them in multi-scale NDF *** with a tiny example based NDF evaluation method,co.plex glinty surfaces can be rendered simply by texture *** experimental results show that our tiny example based the microstructure rendering method is GPU-friendly,successfully reproducing high-frequency reflection features of different microstructures in real time with low memory and co.putational overhead.
