The title compounds 3-（3,5-bis（trifluoromethyl）phenyl）quinoline （1） and 3-（4- fluoro-3-methylphenyl）quinoline （2） were synthesized through Suzuki-Miyaura Cross coupling reaction of 3-bromoquinoloine with aryl boronic acids. The title compounds were characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, El-MS, elemental analysis and IR. The crystals of 3-（3,5-bis（trifluoromethyl）phenyl）quinoline （C17H9F6N, Mr = 341.25） belongs to the monoclinic system, space group P21n, a = 12.3072（13）, b = 4.9378（6）, c = 24.493（2） A, V= 1473.1（3） A3, Z = 4, Dc = 1.539 Mg m-3, 2 - 0.71073A, μ = 0.144 mm^-1, F（000） = 688, the final R = 0.0715 and wR = 0.1873 for 1875 obserwed reflections with I 〉 2σ（I） and the crystal of 3-（4-fluoro-3- methylphenyl）quinoline （C16H12FN, Mr= 237.27） belongs to the orthorhombic system, space group Pca21, a = 23.794（2）, b = 3.9094（3）, c = 25.669（2） A, V = 2387.7（4） A3, Z = 8, D, = 1.320 Mg m-3, 2 = 0.71073 A, μ = 0.088 mm-1, F（000） = 992, the final R = 0.0534 and wR = 0.1188 for 2270 observed reflections with I 〉 2σ（I）.

A novel {[bis（pyridine-κN）bis（3,5-dinitrosalicylato κ-O,O＇）Zn（Ⅱ）][bis（pyridine-κN）Zn（Ⅱ）]}（C_（34）H_（24）N_8O_（14）Zn_2） was synthesized by a self-assemble method at room temperature. The molecular structure was determined by single-crystal X-ray analysis. The compound crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group P2_1/n with a = 12.2156, b = 13.5696, c = 22.5602 A, β = 90.061o, Z = 4 and V = 3739.6（3）A^3. The new 1D binuclear coordination polymer {[bis（py-κN）bis（3,5-dinitrosal κ-O,O′） Zn（Ⅱ）][bis（py-κN）Zn（Ⅱ）]} resulted from two different types of moieties. The polymer [bis（py-κN）bis（3,5-dinitrosal κ-O,O′）Zn（Ⅱ）] unit is connected with [bis（py-κN） Zn（Ⅱ）] by zigzag topology. One zinc（Ⅱ） cation has a six-fold coordination environment, in which the metal atom is connected with four oxygen atoms of two 3,5-dinitrosalicylic acids to form equatorial bonds and two nitrogen atoms of pyridine to generate the axial bonds. Other four-fold nucleus contain two Zn-O bonds from different 3,5-dinitrosalicylic acids and two bonds with the Natom of pyridine. Antimicrobial assay results indicated that the compound showed moderate activities against different bacterial and fungal strains.

Aim: To evaluate the sperm motility stimulating activity of a sulfono glycolipid (S-ACT-1) isolated from Gelidiellaacerosa, a Sfi Lankan marine red algae. Methods: S-ACT-I, a white amorphous powder was separated from morepolar fractions of the hexane soluble of 1:1 CH_2Cl_2/MeOH extract and subjected to ~1H, ^(13)C NMR and IR Spectroscopyafter reverse phase HPLC for identification. Effects of S-ACT-1 on human sperm motility was assessed in vitro at 10,100 and 1000μg/mL concentrations at 37℃ for 0, 5, 15, 30 and 60 min. Results: S-ACT-1 was identified as aglycolipid sulfate. The lower dose increased the sperm motility slightly, whilst the medium dose significantly increasedthe motility (P < 0.05) from 5 min of incubation reaching a peak at 15 min and the stimulant effect was sustainedthroughout the experimental period. Furthermore, the medium dose rendered 80% of the immotile viable sperm *** contrast, the highest dose impaired the sperm motility. The sperm stimulating activity of S-ACT-1 was dose-depen-dent and had a bell-shaped dose response curve for all the 5 incubation periods. Conclusion: S-ACT-1 of Gelidiellaacerosa is a Sulfono glycolipid. S-ACT-1 has a potent sperm motility stimulating activity in vitro and has the potentialto be developed into a sperm stimulant. Dengue virus(DENV) and Zika virus(ZIKV) have spread throughout many countries in the developing world and infect millions of people every year, causing severe harm to human health and the economy. Unfortunately, there are few effective vaccines and therapies available against these viruses. Therefore, the discovery of new antiviral agents is ***, a scorpion venom peptide(Smp76) characterized from Scorpio maurus palmatus was successfully expressed and purified in Escherichia coli BL21(DE3). The recombinant Smp76(rSmp76) was found to effectively inhibit DENV and ZIKV infections in a dose-dependent manner in both cultured cell lines and primary mouse macrophages. Interestingly,rSmp76 did not inactivate the viral particles directly but suppressed the established viral infection, similar to the effect of interferon(IFN)-b. Mechanistically, rSmp76 was revealed to upregulate the expression of IFN-b by activating interferon regulatory transcription factor 3(IRF3) phosphorylation, enhancing the type-Ⅰ IFN response and inhibiting viral *** mechanism is significantly different from traditional virucidal antimicrobial peptides(AMPs). Overall, the scorpion venom peptide Smp76 is a potential new antiviral agent with a unique mechanism involving type-Ⅰ IFN responses,demonstrating that natural AMPs can enhance immunity by functioning as immunomodulators.

The synthesis and in vitro antifungal activity of some Schiff bases and their Sn (Ⅳ) complexes has been tested against plant pathogenic fungi and it is found that they possess excellent fungicidal activity. On the basis of ^1H-, ^13C-,^119Sn NMR-, ^119Sn Mǒssbauer, IR and Elemental analysis the tetrahedral geometry is proposed for the synthesized compounds.

Phytochemical investigation of the whole plant of Commiphora mukul *** in the isolation of two lignans,epiexcelsin（1） and 5′-demethoxyepiexcelsin（2） which are reported for the first time from this *** structure elucidation of the isolated compounds was based on 1D and 2DNMR analysis and by the comparison with the published *** lignans 1 and 2 showed significant inhibitory activity against α-glucosidase with the IC50 of 59.8 ± 3.63455 μM and 75.2 ± 8.1616 μM *** also showed weak inhibitory potential against chymotrypsin with the IC50 of 110 ±0.025 μM and 649 ± 0.013 μM respectively.

Objective:To explore the phytochemical constituents from petroleum ether and diehloromethane extracts of Moringa oleifera(***)roots using GC/GC—***:A total of 5.11 kg fresh and undried crashed root of *** were cut into small pieces and extracted with petroleum ether and diehloromethane(20 ***) at room temperature for 2 *** concentrated extracts were subjected to their GC—MS ***:The GC-MS analysis of the petroleum ether and diehloromethane extracts of *** roots,which showed promising biological activities,has resulted in the identification 102 *** constituents belong to 15 classes of compounds including hydrocarbons,fatty acids,esters,alcohols,***,pyrazine,***,steroids,*** and N-hydroxyimine derivatives,unsaturated *** and ***/GC-MS studies on petroleum ether extraet of the roots revealed that it contained 39 compounds,belonging to nine *** S8 has been isolated as a pure compound from the *** major compounds identified from petroleum ether extract were trans-13-clocosene(37.9%).nonacosane(32.6%).cycloartenol(28.6%) nonadecanoic acid(13.9%) and cyclooctasulfur S8(13.9%).Dichloromethane extract of the roots was composed of 63 compounds of which nasimizinol(58.8%) along with oleic acid(46.5%),N—benzyl-N-(7—cyanato heptanamide(38.3%),N—benzyl-N—(1—chlorononyl) amide(30.3%),bis[3—benzyl prop-2-ene]-1-one(19.5%) and N.N-dibeuzyl—2-ene pent 1.5—diamide(11.6%) were the main ***:This study helps to predict the formula and structure of active molecules which can be used as *** result also enhances the traditional usage of *** which possesses a number of bioactive compounds.

High performance magnets not only have high magnetic properties, but also have good homogeneity. The homogeneous of Nd14.2DyxAl0.8Cu0.1B6.2Febal. bulk magnets was studied. The sizes of the samples produced by conventional sintering process were 53×50.5×25.3/40.2/50.4/61.0 mm. The magnetic character and microstructure of the samples were determined by NIM-10000H hysteresigraph, optical metaloscope, and SEM respectively. The results show that the Hcj reduces with increasing C content at the same process parameters. And the Hcj shows dependence not only on the ageing processing but also on the size of the bulk and loading capacity etc. The Hcj increases with prolonging ageing time and the ageing time should be different with different size of the bulk. With the increase of the loading capacity, the Hcj reduces promptly and is very inhomogeneous. The microstructure of the samples shows that the grain of the hard magnetic phase is finer and the neodymium-rich boundary is distributed homogeneously with prolonging ageing time. And so is the sample in a small amount of the bulks.
