BACKGROUND Complement activation is recognized as an important factor in the progression of liver damage caused by acetaminophen(APAP).However,the role of the complement inhibitor C2-FH in APAP-induced liver injury remains *** To explore C2-FH in protecting against APAP-induced liver injury by inhibiting complement *** A model of APAP-induced liver injury was used to study the protective effect of C2-FH on liver injury.C2-FH was administered through intraperitoneal injection 30 minutes after APAP *** detected the effects of C2-FH on liver function,inflammatory response and complement ***,RNA-sequencing(RNA-Seq)analysis was conducted to understand the mechanism through which C2-FH provides protection against APAP-induced liver *** C2-FH inhibited the increase in serum alanine aminotransferase activity,aspartate aminotransferase activity and lactate dehydrogenase,and reduced liver tissue necrosis caused by ***,it attenuated the inflammatory response and inhibited complement activation in APAP-induced liver ***-Seq analysis provided additional explanations for the protective role of C2-FH against APAP-induced liver *** C2-FH attenuates APAP-induced liver injury by inhibiting complement activation.

Voice Fence Wall:User-optional voice privacy transmission

Sensors are widely applied in the collection of voice *** many attributes of voice data are sensitive such as user emotions,identity,raw voice collection may lead serious privacy *** the past,traditional feature extraction obtains and encrypts voice features that are then transmitted to upstream *** order to avoid sensitive attribute disclosure,it is necessary to separate the sensitive attributes from non-sensitive attributes of voice *** by this,user-optional privacy transmission framework for voice data(called:Voice Fence Wall)is ***,we provide user-optional,which means users can choose the attributes(sensitive attributes)they want to be ***,Voice Fence Wall utilizes minimum mutual information(MI)to reduce the correlation between sensitive and non-sensitive attributes,thereby separating these ***,only the separated non-sensitive attributes are transmitted to the upstream server,the quality of voice services is satisfied without leaking sensitive *** verify the reliability and practicability,three voice datasets are used to evaluate the model,the experiments demonstrate that Voice Fence Wall not only effectively separates attributes to resist attribute inference attacks,but also outperforms related work in terms of classification ***,our framework achieves 89.84%accuracy in sentiment recognition and 6.01%equal error rate in voice authentication.

Based on the unified Hauser–Feshbach and exciton model,which can describe the particle emission processes between discrete energy levels with energy,angular momentum,and parity conservations,a statistical theory of light nucleus reaction(STLN)is developed to calculate the double-differential cross-sections of the outgoing neutron and light charged particles for the proton-induced^(6) Li reaction.A significant difference is observed between the p+^(6) Li and p+^(7) Li reactions owing to the discrepancies in the energy-level structures of the *** reaction channels,including sequential and simultaneous emission processes,are analyzed in *** the double-differential cross-sections of the outgoing proton as an example,the influence of contaminations(such as^(1) H,^(7)Li,^(12)C,and^(16)O)on the target is identified in terms of the kinetic energy of the first emitted *** optical potential parameters of the proton are obtained by fitting the elastic scattering differential *** calculated total double-differential cross-sections of the outgoing proton and deuteron at E_(p)=14 MeV agree well with the experimental data for different outgoing ***,the mixed double differential cross-sections of^(3) He andαare in good agreement with the *** agreement between the measured data and calculated results indicates that the two-body and three-body breakup reactions need to be considered,and the pre-equilibrium reaction mechanism dominates the reaction *** on the STLN model,a PLUNF code for the p+^(6) Li reaction is developed to obtain an ENDF-6-formatted file of the double-differential cross-sections of the nucleon and light composite charged particles.

Fuzzy C-Means(FCM)is an effective and widely used clustering algorithm,but there are still some *** the number of clusters must be determined manually,the local optimal solutions is easily influenced by the random selection of initial cluster centers,and the performance of Euclid distance in complex high-dimensional data is *** solve the above problems,the improved FCM clustering algorithm based on density Canopy and Manifold learning(DM-FCM)is ***,a density Canopy algorithm based on improved local density is proposed to automatically deter-mine the number of clusters and initial cluster centers,which improves the self-adaptability and stability of the ***,considering that high-dimensional data often present a nonlinear structure,the manifold learning method is applied to construct a manifold spatial structure,which preserves the global geometric properties of complex high-dimensional data and improves the clustering effect of the algorithm on complex high-dimensional ***-Mallows Index(FMI),the weighted average of homogeneity and completeness(V-measure),Adjusted Mutual Information(AMI),and Adjusted Rand Index(ARI)are used as performance measures of clustering *** experimental results show that the manifold learning method is the superior distance measure,and the algorithm improves the clustering accuracy and performs superiorly in the clustering of low-dimensional and complex high-dimensional data.

Thymic carcinoid with multiple bone metastases:A case report

BACKGROUND Thymic carcinoid(TC)is a rare entity among anterior mediastinal *** are neuroendocrine carcinomas that constitute approximately 2%–5%of all thymic epithelial *** SUMMARY The study reported a rare TC with multiple bone metastases.A 77-year-old man presented with a 2-month history of lower back pain and weight loss of 5 *** resonance imaging scans revealed damage to the lumbar spine,sacrocaudal vertebrae and iliac crest,suggesting bone metastasis;computed tomography(CT)scan of the thorax showed a calcified anterior mediastinal mass;positron emission tomography-CT demonstrated multiple abnormal bone signals;and laboratory work-up showed no endocrine ***-needle aspiration biopsy revealed predominantly single small,round to oval cells with scant cytoplasm and some loose clusters,suggesting endocrine *** pathological diagnosis was atypical carcinoid,which tend to originate from the thymus and was classified as intermediate-highly *** patient underwent anlotinib-targeted ***(12 mg)was administered daily for 2 wk,after which the patient was allowed to rest for 21 ***-up CT after one year demonstrated that the tumor had shrunk by approximately 29%after *** has a long stable disease benefit of more than 2.5 *** These findings demonstrated that anlotinib is a promising treatment regimen for patients with TC and multiple bone metastases.

Decentralized Semi-Supervised Learning for Stochastic Configuration Networks Based on the Mean Teacher Method

The aim of this paper is to broaden the application of Stochastic Configuration Network (SCN) in the semi-supervised domain by utilizing common unlabeled data in daily life. It can enhance the classification accuracy of decentralized SCN algorithms while effectively protecting user privacy. To this end, we propose a decentralized semi-supervised learning algorithm for SCN, called DMT-SCN, which introduces teacher and student models by combining the idea of consistency regularization to improve the response speed of model iterations. In order to reduce the possible negative impact of unsupervised data on the model, we purposely change the way of adding noise to the unlabeled data. Simulation results show that the algorithm can effectively utilize unlabeled data to improve the classification accuracy of SCN training and is robust under different ground simulation environments.

An Application of Machine Learning to Thalassemia Diagnosis

Mediterranean anemia is a genetic disease that currently relies heavily on expert clinical experience to determine whether patients are affected. This method is overly reliant on expert experience and is not precise enough. This paper proposes two modeling methods to predict whether patients have Mediterranean anemia. The first method involves using Principal Component Analysis (PCA) to reduce the dimensionality of the data, followed by logistic regression modeling (PCA-LR) on the reduced dataset. The second method involves building a Partial Least Squares Regression (PLS) model. Experimental results show that the prediction accuracy of the PCA-LR model is 87.5% (degree = 2, λ=4), and the prediction accuracy of the PLS model is 92.5% (ncomp = 4), indicating good predictive performance of the models.

Fully Distributed Learning for Deep Random Vector Functional-Link Networks

In the contemporary era, the proliferation of information technology has led to an unprecedented surge in data generation, with this data being dispersed across a multitude of mobile devices. Facing these situations and the training of deep learning model that needs great computing power support, the distributed algorithm that can carry out multi-party joint modeling has attracted everyone’s attention. The distributed training mode relieves the huge pressure of centralized model on computer computing power and communication. However, most distributed algorithms currently work in a master-slave mode, often including a central server for coordination, which to some extent will cause communication pressure, data leakage, privacy violations and other issues. To solve these problems, a decentralized fully distributed algorithm based on deep random weight neural network is proposed. The algorithm decomposes the original objective function into several sub-problems under consistency constraints, combines the decentralized average consensus (DAC) and alternating direction method of multipliers (ADMM), and achieves the goal of joint modeling and training through local calculation and communication of each node. Finally, we compare the proposed decentralized algorithm with several centralized deep neural networks with random weights, and experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

Autofocus by Lissajous scanning in time reversal optical scanning holography

In this Letter, an autofocusing method in optical scanning holography(OSH) system is proposed. By introducing Lissajous scanning into multiple signal classification(MUSIC) method in time-reversal(TR) OSH, the axial locations of the targets can be retrieved with better resolution and the peak prominence increases from 0.21 to 0.34. The feasibility of this method is confirmed by simulation as well as experiment.
