A wide array of chemokine receptors,including CCR2,are known to control Treg migration.Here,we report that CCR2 regulates Tregs beyond chemotaxis.We found that CCR2 deficiency reduced CD25 expression by FoxP3^(+) Treg cells.Such a change was also consistently present in irradiation chimeras reconstituted with mixed bone marrow from wild-type(WT)and CCR2−/−strains.Thus,CCR2 deficiency resulted in profound loss of CD25 ^(hi) FoxP3^(+) Tregs in secondary lymphoid organs as well as in peripheral tissues.CCR2−/−Treg cells were also functionally inferior to WT cells.Interestingly,these changes to Treg cells did not depend on CCR2+monocytes/moDCs(the cells where CCR2 receptors are most abundant).Rather,we demonstrated that CCR2 was required for TLR-stimulated,but not TCR-or IL-2-stimulated,CD25 upregulation on Treg cells.Thus,we propose that CCR2 signaling can increase the fitness of FoxP3^(+) Treg cells and provide negative feedback to counter the proinflammatory effects of CCR2 on myeloid cells.

Background:It has been observed that cancer and venous thromboembolism(VTE)are associated,but anticancer therapy may violate the causality.Therefore,this study aimed to elucidate the causal relationship of various cancers to VTE using Mendelian randomization(MR).Methods:Three MR methods were used to estimate causal effects:Inverse variance weighted(IVW),MR-Egger and weighted median.Sensitivity analyses included Cochran's Q-test,MR-Egger intercept test and MRPRESSO.Gene ontology enrichment analysis was performed to elucidate the underlying mechanisms of VTE development in cancer patients.Results:The primary IVW approach showed that non-Hodgkin's lymphoma(NHL)might increase the risk of VTE(odds ratio[OR]:1.20,95%confidence interval[95%CI]:1.00–1.44,p=0.045),while melanoma possibly reduced the risk of VTE(OR:0.89,95%CI:0.82–0.97,p=0.006),although there was no significance after adjustment for multiple testing.No association was observed between VTE risk and other site-specific cancers.Gene ontology enrichment analysis revealed that vitamin D played an important role in the development of VTE in cancer patients.Conclusions:Our findings suggested that genetically predicted NHL was associated with higher VTE risk,whereas melanoma had lower VTE risk compared with other site-specific cancers.Moreover,this study suggested that anticancer therapy and increased extensive examination might play a more important role in VTE development than the nature of cancer.

Spatial Structure of China's E-commerce Express Logistics Network Based on Space of Flows

The intermediate link compression characteristics of e-commerce express logistics ne tworks influence the tradition al mode of circulation of goods and economic organization,and alter the city spatial pattern.Based on the theory of space of flows,this study adopts China Smart Logistics Network relational data to build China's e-commerce express logistics network and explore its spatial structure characteristics through social network analysis(SNA),the PageRank technique,and geospatial methods.The results are as follows:the network density is 0.9270,which is close to 1;hence,indicating that e-commerce express logistics lines between Chinese cities are nearly complete and they form a typical network structure,thereby eliminating fragmented spaces.Moreover,the average minimum number of edges is 1.1375,which indicates that the network has a small world effect and thus has a high flow efficiency of logistics elements.A significant hierarchical diffusion effect was observed in dominant flows with the highest edge weights.A diamond-structured network was formed with Shanghai,guangzhou,Chongqing,and Beijing as the four core nodes.Other node cities with a large logistics scale and importance in the network are mainly located in the 19 city agglomerations of China,revealing the fact that the development of city agglomerations is essential for promoting the separation of experience space and changing the urban spatial pattern.This study enriches the theory of urban networks,reveals the flow laws of modern logistics elements,and encourages coordinated development of urban logistics.

Ergonomic reliability plays a significant role in the safe operation of devices.With the spread of infectious diseases around the world,in work environments with high loads and high infection rates,medical staff work in a state of high self-protection.The use of visual display terminal(VDT)for medical equipment has undergone fundamental changes,and the traditional medical equipment human-machine interface design needs to be improved.After the completion of design and development,a VDT design enters the experimental testing stage,which has significant limitations for simulating the work of medical staff in the high-load and high-infection environments.The testing cost is high,and subjects face harsh conditions;thus,an ergonomic reliability model that can predict the use of VDT in such special high-infection and high-load circumstances must be established.An ergonomic reliability model based on an improved backpropagation neural network(BPNN)and human cognition reliability(HCR)is proposed for predicting and evaluating operation flows according tomedical equipment VDTs.Firstly,a small data sample can be used to train BPNN to generate a network that can ensure suitable accuracy.To prevent the model from falling into local optimal solutions,the bat algorithm is introduced to improve the BPNN.Compared to a traditional BPNN,the superiority of the improved BPNN is clearly demonstrated.Secondly,the HCR method is used to analyze and highlight changes in the human factor reliability of VDTs for medical equipment in different time processes and operating processes according to BPNN prediction results,to provide a reference for selecting the optimalmethod.Finally,the validity and availability of the proposedmethod are verified through an eye tracker experiment and statistical analysis results.

Epidemiology of Depression and Suicide Ideation in Patients With Psoriasis:A Metaanalysis of Prospective Cohort Studies

Objective:Psoriasis is an immune-mediated inflammatory,chronic,recurrent skin disease associated with a high risk of developing psychiatric disorders,especially depression and suicidal ideation,leading to functional disability and poor quality of life.This study was conducted to comprehensively review and assess the epidemiologic association between psoriasis and the risk ratios(RRs)of depression or suicidal ideation.Methods:Five databases(PubMed,Wanfang Database,CNKI,The Cochrane Library,and EMBASE)were searched for prospective cohort studies on the prevalence of depression and/or suicidal ideation in patients with psoriasis updated to February 2,2023.Two independent reviewers evaluated and extracted the data,which were then pooled into a summary RR with corresponding 95%confidence interval(CI)using random-effects models.Results:Sixteen cohort studies comprising 1,166,840 patients with psoriasis and 3,294,205 controls were eligible for the final analysis.The pooled RR for depression was 1.43(95%CI=1.13-1.81)in patients with psoriasis and1.55(95%CI=1.40-1.71)in patients with psoriatic arthritis.In the subgroup analysis,Asian patients with psoriasis(RR=1.38,95%CI=1.17-1.63)had a lower pooled RR for depression than non-Asian patients(RR=1.45,95%CI=1.07-1.97),and patients with moderate-to-severe psoriasis(RR=1.69,95%CI=1.15-2.50)showed a higher RR for depression than patients with mild psoriasis(RR=1.60,95%CI=1.06-2.42).We also found no increase in the RR for suicidal ideation among people with psoriasis(RR=1.25,95%CI=0.95-1.65).Conclusion:Patients with psoriasis are at an increased risk of depression.Among patients with psoriasis,those with psoriatic arthritis,those who are non-Asian,and those with moderate-to-severe psoriasis are at higher risk for depression.However,the available evidence does not support an association between psoriasis and suicidal ideation.

A highly active sulfided NiPMo/MCM-41(NiPMo-S/M41)hydrodesulfurization(HDS)catalyst was successfully synthesized using Keggin-type phosphomolybdic acid as the phosphorus and molybdenum source and thioacetamide as the sulfur source.The supported catalysts NiPMo/M41,Ni_(2)P-Mo/M41,and Ni_(2)P/M41 were also prepared to investigate the effects of Mo,S,and the Keggin structure on the HDS performance.The HDS activities of NiPMo/M41 and NiPMo-S/M41 toward dibenzothiophene were much higher than that of Ni_(2)P-Mo/M41,demonstrating that the active phases in the Keggin-structured catalysts were significantly superior to the Mo-modified Ni_(2)P phase.The HDS activities of the catalysts followed the order NiPMo-S/M41(96.7%)>NiPMo/M41(89.9%)>Ni_(2)P-Mo/M41(53.5%)>Ni_(2)P/M41(48.9%).For Ni_(2)P/M41,Ni_(2)P-Mo/M41,and NiPMo/M41,cyclohexylbenzene(CHB)was formed in low concentrations(<21.0%),indicating that direct desulfurization was the favored reaction route and that this did not change for Keggin-structured NiPMo/M41.By contrast,the CHB selectivity of NiPMo-S/M41 increased to 44.6%,much higher than that of NiPMo/M41(17.6%),demonstrating that sulfidation enhanced the hydrogenation ability,which was ascribed to a metal-acid synergistic effect.

In recent years,many adversarial malware examples with different feature strategies,especially GAN and its variants,have been introduced to handle the security threats,e.g.,evading the detection of machine learning detectors.However,these solutions still suffer from problems of complicated deployment or long running time.In this paper,we propose an n-gram MalGAN method to solve these problems.We borrow the idea of n-gram from the Natural Language Processing(NLP)area to expand feature sources for adversarial malware examples in MalGAN.Generally,the n-gram MalGAN obtains the feature vector directly from the hexadecimal bytecodes of the executable file.It can be implemented easily and conveniently with a simple program language(e.g.,C++),with no need for any prior knowledge of the executable file or any professional feature extraction tools.These features are functionally independent and thus can be added to the non-functional area of the malicious program to maintain its original executability.In this way,the n-gram could make the adversarial attack easier and more convenient.Experimental results show that the evasion rate of the n-gram MalGAN is at least 88.58%to attack different machine learning algorithms under an appropriate group rate,growing to even 100%for the Random Forest algorithm.

The performance of different quantitative precipitation estimation(QPE) relationships is examined using the polarimetric variables from the X-band polarimetric phased-array radars in guangzhou,China.Three QPE approaches,namely,R(ZH),R(ZH,ZDR) and R(KDP),are developed for horizontal reflectivity,differential reflectivity and specific phase shift rate,respectively.The estimation parameters are determined by fitting the relationships to the observed radar variables using the T-matrix method.The QPE relationships were examined using the data of four heavy precipitation events in southern China.The examination shows that the R(ZH) approach performs better for the precipitation rate less than 5 mm h-1, and R(KDP) is better for the rate higher than 5 mm h-1, while R(ZH,ZDR) has the worst performance.An adaptive approach is developed by taking the advantages of both R(ZH) and R(KDP) approaches to improve the QPE accuracy.

Background Human adenovirus(HAdV)infection can cause a variety of diseases.It is a major pathogen of pediatric acute respiratory tract infections(ARIs)and can be life-threatening in younger children.We described the epidemiology and subtypes shifting of HAdV among children with ARI in guangzhou,China.Methods We conducted a retrospective study of 161,079 children diagnosed with acute respiratory illness at the guangzhou Women and Children’s Medical Center between 2010 and 2021.HAdV specimens were detected by real-time PCR and the hexon gene was used for phylogenetic analysis.Results Before the COVID-19 outbreak in guangzhou,the annual frequency of adenovirus infection detected during this period ranged from 3.92%to 13.58%,with an epidemic peak every four to fve years.HAdV demonstrated a clear seasonal distribution,with the lowest positivity in March and peaking during summer(July or August)every year.A signifcant increase in HAdV cases was recorded for 2018 and 2019,which coincided with a shift in the dominant HAdV subtype from HAdV-3 to HAdV-7.The latter was associated with a more severe disease compared to HAdV-3.The average mortality proportion for children infected with HAdV from 2016 to 2019 was 0.38%but increased to 20%in severe cases.After COVID-19 emerged,HAdV cases dropped to 2.68%,suggesting that non-pharmaceutical interventions probably reduced the transmission of HAdV in the community.Conclusion Our study provides the foundation for the understanding of the epidemiology of HAdV and its associated risks in children in Southern China.
