Multifunctional cellular carbon foams derived from chitosan toward self-cleaning, thermal insulation, and highly efficient microwave absorption properties

To adapt the practical demand,designing and constructing the multifunctional microwave absorbers(MAs)is the key future direction of research and ***,effective integrating the multiple functions into a single material remains a huge ***,cellular carbon foams(CCFs)with different porous structures were elaborately designed and fabricated in high efficiency through a facile continuous freeze-drying and carbonization processes using a sustainable biomass chitosan as the *** obtained results revealed that the thermal treated temperature and g-C_(3)N_(4) amount played a great impact on the carbonization degrees,pore sizes,and morphologies of CCFs,which led to their tunable electromagnetic(EM)parameters,improved conduction loss,and polarization loss *** to the special cellular structure,the designed CCFs samples simultaneously displayed the strong absorption capabilities,broad absorption bandwidths,and thin matching ***,the as-prepared CCFs exhibited the strong hydrophobicity and good thermal insulation,endowing its attractive functions of self-cleaning and thermal ***,our findings not only presented a facile approach to produce different porous structures of CCFs,but also provided an effective strategy to develop multifunctional high-performance MAs on basis of three-dimensional CCFs.

Saline wastewater is regarded as a challenge for wastewater treatment plants because high-salinity conditions negatively affect on traditional biological *** granular sludge(AGS)has gained attention as a promising technology for saline wastewater treatment because of its compact structure and the ability to withstand toxic ***,this study investigated the saltresistance performance,sludge properties and microbial community of AGS under low-salinity and high-salinity conditions,with the saline concentrations ranging from 0 to 50 g/*** results showed that AGS could withstand long-term saline stresses,and the maximum salinity reached 50 g/L within 113 *** salinities of 10,30,and 50 g/L,the chemical oxygen demand(COD)removal efficiencies were 90.3%,88.0%and 78.0%,*** also its maintained strength and aggregation at salinities of 10 and 30 g/*** of extracellular polymeric substances(EPS)by non-halophilic bacteria that enhanced sludge *** compact structure that ensured the microorganisms bioactivity helped to remove organic matters under salinities of 10 and 30 g/*** a salinity of 50 g/L,moderately halophilic bacteria,including Salinicola,Thioclava,Idiomarina and Albirhodobacter,prevailed in the *** dominant microbial communities shifted to moderately halophilic bacteria,which could maintain aerobic granular stabilization and remove organic matters under 50 g/L *** results in this study provide a further explanation for the long-term operation of AGS for treating saline wastewater at different *** is hoped that this work could bring some clues for the mystery of salt-resistance mechanisms.

Shape and diffusion instabilities of two non-spherical gas bubbles under ultrasonic conditions

Ultrasonic cavitation involves dynamic oscillation processes induced by small bubbles in a liquid under the influence of ultrasonic waves. This study focuses on the investigation of shape and diffusion instabilities of two bubbles formed during cavitation. The derived equations for two non-spherical gas bubbles, based on perturbation theory and the Bernoulli equation, enable the analysis of their shape instability. Numerical simulations, utilizing the modified Keller–Miksis equation,are performed to examine the shape and diffusion instabilities. Three types of shape instabilities, namely, Rayleigh–Taylor,Rebound, and parametric instabilities, are observed. The results highlight the influence of initial radius, distance, and perturbation parameter on the shape and diffusion instabilities, as evidenced by the R_0–P_a phase diagram and the variation pattern of the equilibrium curve. This research contributes to the understanding of multiple bubble instability characteristics, which has important theoretical implications for future research in the field. Specifically, it underscores the significance of initial bubble parameters, driving pressure, and relative gas concentration in determining the shape and diffusive equilibrium instabilities of non-spherical bubbles.

Effects of long-term fencing on soil microbial community structure and function in the desert steppe,China

One of the goals of grazing management in the desert steppe is to improve its ***,relatively little is known about soil microbe communities in the desert steppe ecosystem under grazing *** this study,we investigated the diversity and aboveground biomass of Caragana korshinskii *** communities in long-term fencing and grazing areas,combined with an analysis of soil physical-chemical properties and genomics,with the aim of understanding how fence management affects plant-soil-microbial inter-relationships in the desert steppe,*** results showed that fence management(exclosure)increased plant diversity and aboveground biomass in *** shrub area and effectively enhanced soil organic carbon(233.94%),available nitrogen(87.77%),and available phosphorus(53.67%)*** well,the Shannon indices of soil bacteria and fungi were greater in the fenced ***-soil changes profoundly affected the alpha-and beta-diversity of soil *** management also altered the soil microbial community structure,significantly increasing the relative abundances of Acidobacteriota(5.31%-8.99%),Chloroflexi(3.99%-5.58%),and Glomeromycota(1.37%-3.28%).The soil bacterial-fungal co-occurrence networks under fence management had higher complexity and *** on functional predictions,fence management significantly increased the relative abundance of bacteria with nitrification and nitrate reduction functions and decreased the relative abundance of bacteria with nitrate and nitrite respiration *** relative abundances of ecologically functional fungi with arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi,ectomycorrhizal fungi,and saprotrophs also significantly increased under fence *** addition,the differential functional groups of bacteria and fungi were closely related to plant-soil *** results of this study have significant positive implications for the ecological restoration and reconstruction of dry desert steppe and simila

Effect of Humidity on Formaldehyde Oxidation over Ce_(0.8)Zr_(0.2)O_(y)Catalyst

In the preparation of a series of Ce_(0.8)Zr_(0.2)O_(y)catalysts catalyzing the removal of formaldehyde,BET,H2-TPR,IR,SEM,XPS,and XRD were used to characterize the catalyst,and the influence of humidity on the catalyst activity was studied by adjusting the humidity during the *** experimental results showed that the formaldehyde removal rate increased with the increase of *** the humidity was higher than 50%,the formaldehyde removal rate decreased by 3%over that when the humidity was 50%.The characterization results showed that humidity facilitated the activation of oxygen and the formation of hydroxyl groups,which both promoted the formation and oxidative decomposition of intermediates and prevented the deposition of intermediates that clogged the pores,allowing more formaldehyde to be adsorbed and oxidized,which increased the activity of the *** provides new mechanistic evidence for the oxidation of formaldehyde and helps in the development of relatively low-cost materials for formaldehyde purification.

In-situ electrochemical study on the eff ects of Fe(Ⅲ)on kinetics of pyrite acidic pressure oxidation

Fe(Ⅲ)has been proved to be a more eff ective oxidant than dissolved oxygen at ambient temperature,however,the role of Fe(Ⅲ)in pyrite acidic pressure oxidation was rarely discussed so *** this paper,in-situ electrochemical investigation was performed using a flow-through autoclave system in acidic pressure oxidation *** results illustrated that increasing Fe(Ⅲ)concentrations led to raising in redox potential of the solution,and decreased passivation of pyrite caused by deposition of elemental *** of Fe(Ⅲ)at pyrite surface was a fast reaction with low activation energy,it was only slightly promoted by rising ***,the oxidation rate of pyrite at all investigated Fe(Ⅲ)concentrations increased obviously with rising temperatures,the anodic reaction was the rate-limiting step in the overall *** energy of pyrite oxidation decreased from 47.74 to 28.79 kJ/mol when Fe(Ⅲ)concentration was increased from 0.05 to 0.50 g/L,showing that the reaction kinetics were limited by the rate of electrochemical reaction at low Fe(Ⅲ)concentrations,while,it gradually turned to be diffusion control with increasing Fe(Ⅲ)concentrations.

Analysis of the Employment Situation of Non Private Enterprises in Various Regions of China

In the past 30 years, Chinese enterprises have been a hot topic of discussion and concern among the general public in terms of economic and social status, ownership structure, business mechanism, and management level. Solving the problem of employment for the people is an important prerequisite for their peaceful living and work, as well as a prerequisite and foundation for building a harmonious society. The employment situation of private enterprises has always been of great concern to the outside world, and these two major jobs have always occupied an important position in the employment field of China that cannot be ignored. With the establishment of the market economy system, individual and private enterprises have become important components of the socialist economy, making significant contributions to economic development and social progress. The rapid development of China’s economy, on the one hand, is the embodiment of the superiority of China’s socialist market economic system, and on the other hand, it is the role of the tertiary industry and private enterprises in promoting the national economy. Since the 1990s, China’s private enterprises have become a new economic growth point for local and even national countries, and are one of the important ways to arrange employment and achieve social stability. This paper studies the employment of private enterprises and individuals from the perspective of statistics, extracts relevant data from China statistical Yearbook, uses the relevant knowledge of statistics to process the data, obtains the conclusion and puts forward relevant constructive suggestions.
