Aqueous zinc-metal based batteries(AZMBs)perfectly combine safety,economy and pro-environment,but their performance is arresting limited by the interfacial instability caused by the large desolvation energy barrier of[Zn(H2O)6]^(2+)and the massive release of active water at the electrolyte/electrode *** this review,we briefly outline the solvation structure of zinc ions and the necessity of ***,the variety of strategies to solve these issues,mainly including reorganizing solvation sheath by changing electrolyte environment and accelerating interface desolvation by constructing artificial interfacial layer,are categorically discussed and systematically ***,perspectives and suggestions regarding desolvation theories,interfacial evolution,material design and analysis techniques are proposed to design highly stable zinc anodes.

Insights into the seasonal characteristics of single particle aerosols in Chengdu based on SPAMS

To investigate the seasonal characteristics in air pollution in Chengdu,a single particle aerosol mass spectrometry was used to continuously observe atmospheric fine particulate matter during one-month periods in summer and winter,*** results showed that,apart from O_(3),the concentrations of other pollutants(CO,NO_(2),SO_(2),PM_(2.5)and PM_(10))were significantly higher in winter than in *** single particle aerosols were divided into seven categories:biomass burning(BB),coal combustion(CC),Dust,vehicle emission(VE),K mixedwith nitrate(K-NO_(3)),Kmixed with sulfate and nitrate(K-SN),and K mixedwith sulfate(K-SO_(4))*** highest contributions in both seasons were VE particles(24%).The higher contributions of K-SO_(4)(16%)and K-NO_(3)(10%)particles occurred in summer and winter,respectively,as a result of their different formation mechanisms.S-containing(KSO_(4)and K-SN),VE,and BB particles caused the evolution of pollution in both seasons,and they can be considered as targets for future pollution *** mixing of primary sources particles(VE,Dust,CC,and BB)with secondary components was stronger in winter than in *** summer,as pollution worsens,the mixing of primary sources particles with 62[NO_(3)]−weakened,but themixing with 97[HSO_(4)]−***,in winter,the mixing state of particles did not exhibit an obvious evolution *** potential source areas in summer were mainly distributed in the southern region of Sichuan,while in winter,besides the southern region,the contribution of the western region cannot be ignored.

Interface engineering of Pt/CeO2-{100} catalysts for enhancing catalytic activity in auto-exhaust carbon particles oxidation

Herein,we fabricate an embedding structure at the interface between Pt nanoparticles （NPs） and CeO2-{100}nanocubes with surface defect sites （CeO2-SDS） through quenching and gas bubbling-assisted membrane reduction *** in-situ substitution of Pt NPs for atomic-layer Ce lattice significantly increases the amount of reactive oxygen species from 133.68μmol/g to 199.44μmol/*** a result,the distinctive geometric structure of Pt/CeO2-SDS catalyst substantially improves the catalytic activity and stability for soot oxidation compared with the catalyst with no quenching process,i.e.,its T50and TOF values are 332°C and 2.915 h-1,*** with the results of experimental investigations and density functional theory calculations,it is unveiled that the unique embedding structure of Pt/CeO2-SDS catalyst can facilitate significantly electron transfer from Pt to the CeO2-{100}support,and induce the formation of interfacial[Ce-Ox-Pt2]bond chains,which plays a crucial role in enhancing the key step of soot oxidation through the dual activation of surface lattice oxygen and molecular *** a fundamental revelation of the interfacial electronic transmission and corresponding modification strategy contributes a novel opportunity to develop high-efficient and stable noble metal catalysts at the atomic level.

Oilfield sustainability and management:An optimization model for the reconstruction of oil and gas gathering systems based on potential location mining

The carbon emissions and cost during the construction phase are significant contributors to the oilfield *** oilfields enter the late stage,the adaptability of facilities *** achieve sustainable development,oilfield reconstruction was usually conducted in discrete rather than continuous *** by economic and sustainability goals,a 3-phase heuristic model for oilfield reconstruction was developed to mine potential locations in continuous *** phase 1,considering the process characteristics of the oil and gas gathering system,potential locations were mined in continuous *** phase 2,incorporating comprehensive reconstruction measures,a reconstruction model was established in discrete *** phase 3,the topology was further adjusted in continuous ***,the model was transformed into a single-objective mixed integer linear programming model using the augmented ε-constraint *** experiments revealed that the small number of potential locations could effectively reduce the reconstruction cost,and the quality of potential locations mined in phase 1 surpassed those generated in random or grid *** studies showed that cost and carbon emissions for a new block were reduced by up to 10.45% and 7.21 %,*** reductions were because the potential locations mined in 1P reduced the number of metering stations,and 3P adjusted the locations of metering stations in continuous space to shorten the pipeline *** an old oilfield,the load and connection ratios of the old metering station increased to 89.7% and 94.9%,respectively,enhancing operation ***,recycling facilitated the diversification of reconstruction measures and yielded a profit of 582,573 ￥,constituting 5.56% of the total *** study adopted comprehensive reconstruction measures and tapped into potential reductions in cost and carbon emissions for oilfield reconstruction,offering valuable insights for future oilfield de

Efficient propane dehydrogenation catalyzed by Ru nanoparticles anchored on a porous nitrogen-doped carbon matrix

Propane dehydrogenation （PDH） is a vital industrial process for producing propene,utilizing primarily Cr-based or Pt-based *** catalysts often suffer from challenges such as the toxicity of Cr,the high costs of noble metals like Pt,and deactivation issues due to sintering or coke formation at elevated *** introduce an exceptional Ru-based catalyst,Ru nanoparticles anchored on a nitrogendoped carbon matrix （Ru@NC）,which achieves a propane conversion rate of 32.2%and a propene selectivity of 93.1%at 550°C,with minimal coke deposition and a low deactivation rate of 0.0065 *** using techniques like TEM and XPS,along with carefully-designed controlled experiments,reveal that the notable performance of Ru@NC stems from the modified electronic state of Ru by nitrogen dopant and the microporous nature of the matrix,positioning it as a top contender among state-of-the-art PDH catalysts.

Improving atmospheric pressure vertical correction model using Gaussian function

The Zenith Hydrostatic Delay(ZHD) is essential for high-precision Global Navigation Satellite System(GNSS) and Very Long Baseline Interferometry(VLBI) data processing. Accurate estimation of ZHD relies on in situ atmospheric pressure, which is primarily variable in the vertical direction. Current atmospheric pressure is either site-specific or has limited spatial coverage, necessitating vertical corrections for broader applicability. This study introduces a model that uses a Gaussian function for the vertical correction of atmospheric pressure when in situ meteorological observations are unavailable. Validation with the fifth-generation European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts reanalysis(ERA5) reveals an average Bias and RMS for the new model of 0.31 h Pa and 2.96 h Pa,respectively. This corresponds to improvements of 37.5% and 80.3% in terms of RMS compared to two commonly used models(T0and Tvmodels) that require in situ meteorological observations,respectively. Additional validation with radiosonde data shows an average Bias and RMS of 1.85 h Pa and 4.87 h Pa, corresponding to the improvement of 42.8% and 71.1% in RMS compared with T0and Tv models, respectively. These accuracies are sufficient for calculating ZHD to an accuracy of 1 mm by performing atmospheric pressure vertical correction. The new model can correct atmospheric pressure from meteorological stations or numerical weather forecasts to different heights of the troposphere.

A 12-metal Zn(Ⅱ)-Nd(Ⅲ) cluster 1(sizes:1.8 nm×2.0 nm×2.0 nm) was synthesized from a long-chain type Schiff base *** displays ratiometric fluorescence response to neopterin(Neo) with high selectivity and sensitivity,which can be expressed by the equation I_(545)_(nm)/I_(1060)_(nm)=A·[Neo]^(2)+B·[Neo]+C.1 is used to quantitatively test Neo concentrations in fetal calf serum(FCS) and urine,and the recovery ranges are 98.57%-103.82% and 99.25%-103.50%,respectively,while the relative standard deviations(RSDs) are 7.89%-9.46% and 1.85%-4.16%,*** limits of detection of 1 to Neo in FCS and urine are 0.034 and 0.021 μmol/L,respectively.

Effect of pulse-like ground motions on the seismic performance of slope reinforced by pile-anchor structure: centrifuge model tests and numerical simulations

A series of dynamic centrifuge model tests and finite element simulations are conducted to investigate the seismic behavior of slopes reinforced by pile-anchor structures under pulse-like earthquake motions for the first time. The amplification effect and structural behavior， including pile bending moment， pile top displacement， and anchor tension， are considered in the analysis. The findings indicate that pulse-like ground motions give rise to pronounced amplification effect at the pile head， with low-frequency components playing a critical role in the seismic behavior of the structure. This amplification effect is more pronounced under pulse-like motions than in non-pulse cases. Moreover， the pulsatory characteristics of ground motion， particularly the low-frequency components， exert a more significant influence on anti-slide structures than peak ground acceleration (PGA)， leading to higher cumulative energy levels in pulse-like ground motions. Furthermore， the dynamic finite element analysis effectively captures the key phenomena observed in the centrifuge tests， offering valuable insights for optimizing the seismic design of pile-anchor systems.

Macro-mechanics and Microstructure of Nanomaterial-modified Geopolymer Concrete: A Comprehensive Review

We have described in detail the effects of nano-SiO_(2),nano-CaCO_(3),carbon nanotubes,and nano-Al_(2)O_(3) on geopolymer concrete from the perspectives of macro mechanics and *** existing research results show that the mechanism of nano-materials on geopolymer concrete mainly includes the filling effect,nucleation effect,and bridging effect,the appropriate amount of nano-materials can be used as fillers to reduce the porosity of geopolymer concrete,and can also react with Ca(OH)2 to produce C-S-H gel,thereby improving the mechanical properties of geopolymer *** optimum content of nano-SiO_(2) is between 1.0%and 2.0%.The optimum content of nano-CaCO_(3) is between 2.0%and 3.0%.The optimum content of carbon nanotubes is between 0.1%and 0.2%.The optimum content of nano-Al_(2)O_(3) is between 1.0%and 2.0%.The main problems existing in the research and application of nanomaterial-modified geopolymer concrete are summarized,which lays a foundation for the further application of nanomaterial in geopolymer concrete.
