Assessment of the Genetic Relationship and Diversity of Mango and Its Relatives by cpISSR Marker

Chloroplast inter-simple sequence repeat markers in mango were developed and used to analyze the genetic relationship and diversity of mango and its relatives. Thirty-six mango cultivars （Mangifera indica L.） and its relative species collected from the fruit germplasm collection in the guangxi Academy of agricultural Sciences, China, were examined by ISSR-PCR with chloroplast DNA （cpDNA）. Eight better primers for chloroplast DNA that provided reproducible, polymorphic DNA amplification patterns were screened from 50 ISSR primers and used for UPGMA analysis. According to the band patterns with 8 primers for chloroplast DNA, all cultivars tested were distinguished from each other and these showed ample genetic diversity; the average percentage of polymorphism was 77.2%. The 36 samples could be clustered into four groups by UPGMA analysis at the coefficient 0.74. The results indicated that the cplSSR marker was a new powerful tool for the identification of mango cultivars or its relative species, and their genetic relationship analysis and diversity evaluation.

To explore genetic diversity and estimate the genetic differences among populations of Lutraria maxima in the coastal waters off south to southeast China,the morphology of the species of five different geographical populations(Beihai,Weizhou Island,Zhanjiang,Xiamen,and Fuzhou)in guangxi,Guangdong,and Fujian provinces was studied statistically in combination with the microsatellite *** revealed by morphological principal component analysis(PCA),the cumulative contribution rate of the first three principal components was 72.596%.The discrimination accuracy ranged from 47.5%to 80.0%,and the scatter plots of principal component and discriminant analysis were consistent in overall,showing that the Xiamen and Fuzhou populations were overlapped *** microsatellite markers,10 pairs of polymorphic primers were obtained by high-throughput transcriptome sequencing,and used for genetic diversity *** was showed that the average number of alleles and eff ective alleles observed in each population ranged from 8.100 to 10.900,and from 3.497 to 4.228,*** average observed heterozygosity(H_(o))and expected heterozygosity(H_(e))in the five populations ranged from 0.541 to 0.615,and from 0.642 to 0.733,*** genetic distance(DA)ranged from 0.078 to 0.523,and the population genetic differentiation index(F_(ST))ranged from 0.027 to *** unweighted pair-population method with arithmetic means(UPGMA)and structure analysis showed that the five populations could be divided into two main clusters,the Beibu Gulf group(Beihai and Weizhou Island)and the Southeast China Sea group(Zhanjiang,Xiamen,and Fuzhou),suggesting that *** has been separated geographically by the barrier of the Leizhou Peninsula into two groups in evolution,which provided us with a scientific clue to better protect the bioresource and establish an appropriate fishery management stocks for *** populations in south China.

A Computer Program for Automatic Watering Based on Potential Evapotranspiration by Penman Method and Predicted Leaf Area in Miniature Pot Rose Production

In this study, we developed a computer program for automatic prediction of watering time point by considering the environmental factors such as solar radiation, air temperature and relative humidity based on the multiple linear regression equation of leaf area and Penman Method. The experiments were carried out for a year in two watering experimental plots, one of which was controlled by pF value, and the other by the computer program. After comparing the results of the two plots, the following findings were obtained. In the computer program plot, the observed and predicted values of both leaf area and evapotranspiration indicated significant correlation at the 1% level, which suggested that the computer program had high prediction accuracy. In addition, no significant difference was observed between the two experimental plots with respects to the plant height, plant diameter, leaf area, leaf number, fresh weight, and dry weight, which demonstrated that the plants in the computer program plot had normal growth. On the other hand, although the number of flower buds and flowering shoots showed higher values at the end of certain cultivations in the computer program plot than those in pF value plot, we proposed that it was due to the effect of cumulative daily solar radiation in the greenhouse, rather than the watering. Thus, we have reached the conclusion that the computer program for automatic prediction of watering time point developed by this study has high applicability in miniature pot rose production.

Fruit colour is essential to seed dispersal,speciation,and biological diversity in global *** relationship between fruit-colour variation and species diversification has long been of interest in evolutionary biology,but remains poorly understood at the genus ***,we used Callicarpa,a typical representative of pantropical angiosperm,to analyse whether fruit colours are correlated with biogeographic distribution,dispersal events,and diversification *** estimated a time-calibrated phylogeny for Callicarpa and reconstructed ancestral fruit *** phylogenetic methods,we estimated the major dispersal events across the phylogenetic tree and the most likely fruit colours related to each dispersal event,and tested whether the dispersal frequencies and distances of the four fruit colours between major biogeographical areas were *** then tested whether fruit colours are correlated with latitude,elevation,and diversification *** reconstructions showed that Callicarpa originated in the East Asia and Southeast Asia during the Eocene(-35.53 Ma) and diverse species diverged mainly in the Miocene and lasted into the ***-scale dispersal events were significantly associated with violet-fruited ***,different fruit colours were markedly correlated with different latitudes and elevations(e.g.,violet fruits were correlated with higher latitudes and elevations;red fruits and black fruits with lower latitudes;white fruits with higher elevations).Notably,violet fruits were statistically associated with highest diversification rates,driving fruit colour variation among different regions *** results contribute to further understanding why fruit colour is so variable at the genus level of angiosperms in different areas around the world.

In the visual positioning of Unmanned Ground Vehicle(UGV),the visual odometer based on direct sparse method(DSO) has the advantages of small amount of calculation,high real-time performance and high robustness,so it is more widely used than the visual odometer based on feature point *** vision sensors have a narrower viewing angle than panoramic vision sensors,and there are fewer road signs in a single frame of image,resulting in poor road sign tracking and positioning capabilities,and severely restricting the development of visual *** on these considerations,this paper proposes a binocular stereo panoramic vision positioning algorithm based on extended DSO,which can solve these problems *** experimental results show that the binocular stereo panoramic vision positioning algorithm based on the extended DSO can directly obtain the panoramic depth image around the UGV,which greatly improves the accuracy and robustness of the visual positioning compared with other ordinary visual *** will have widely application prospects in the UGV field in the future.

Star fruit(Averrhoa carambola)is an important fruit tree in tropical and subtropical *** tree blooms several times and fruits accordingly within one *** the flowering time and understanding the physiological mechanism of the induction of floral buds in *** are indispensable to the *** this study,*** potted trees were subjected to drought stress in a growth *** avoid excessive drought stress and leaf abscission,trees were watered every 7 d and were sprayed with water every 2 *** flowering rate was recorded,and the carbohydrate contents of the leaves,phloem,and xylem tissues were determined during the treatment and after *** results showed that drought stress increased the flowering rate in both drooping and water shoots,increased the relative conductivity,decreased the relative water content(RWC)of *** total soluble sugar,sucrose,fructose,and glucose in leaves of the drooping shoots were *** starch contents in the xylem of both drooping and water shoots were also increased by the *** results indicated that drought stress enhances carbohydrate accumulation in *** study provides a potential way by water control to induce flowering without chemical in ***.
