Effective stress dissipation by multi-dimensional architecture engineering for ultrafast and ultralong sodium storage

Stress accumulation is a key factor leading to sodium storage performance deterioration for NiSe2-based ***,inhibiting the concentrated local stress during the sodiataion/desodiation process is crucial for acquiring stable NiSe2-based materials for sodium-ion batteries（SIBs）,Herein,a stress dissipation strategy driven by architecture engineering is proposed,which can achieve ultrafast and ultralong sodium storage *** from the conventional sphere-like or rod-like architecture,the three-dimensional（3D） flower-like NiSe2@C composite is delicately designed and assembled with onedimensional nanorods and carbon *** importantly,the fundamental mechanism of improved structure stability is unveiled by simulations and experimental results *** demonstrates that this designed multidimensional flower-like architecture with dispersed nanorods can balance the structural mismatch,avoid concentrated local strain,and relax the internal stress,mainly induced by the unavoidable volume variation during the repeated conversion ***,it can provide more Na+-storage sites and multi-directional migration pathways,leading to a fast Na+-migration channel with boosted reaction *** expected,it delivers superior rate performance(441 mA h g-1at 5.0 A g-1) and long cycling stability(563 mA h g-1at 1.0 A g-1over 1000 cycles) for *** work provides useful insights for designing high-performance conversion-based anode materials for SIBs.

Tetrahedral shape and Lambda impurity effect in 80Zr with a multidimensionally constrained relativistic Hartree-Bogoliubov model

This study investigated the tetrahedral structure in80Zr and Lambda（Λ） impurity effect inΛ81Zr using the multidimensionally constrained relativistic Hartree-Bogoliubov *** ground states of both80Zr andΛ81Zr exhibit a tetrahedral configuration,accompanied by prolate and axial-octupole shaped *** calculations reveal that there are changes in the deformation parameters β20,β30,and β32upon Λ binding to80Zr,except for β32whenΛ occupies *** to the two shape isomers,the Λ particle exhibits weaker binding energy in the tetrahedral state when occupying the 1/2+[000]（Λs） or 1/2-[110] single-particle *** contrast,the strongest binding occurs for the Λ particle in the 1/2-[101] state with tetrahedral ***,a large Λ separation energy may not necessarily correlate with a significant overlap between the density distributions of the Λ particle and nuclear core,particularly for tetrahedral hypernuclei.

Mechanism of extracellular electron transport and reactive oxygen mediated Sb(Ⅲ)oxidation by Klebsiella aerogenes HC10

Microbial oxidation and the mechanism of Sb(Ⅲ)are key governing elements in biogeochemical cycling.A novel Sb oxidizing bacterium,Klebsiella aerogenes HC10,was attracted early and revealed that extracellular metabolites were the main fractions driving Sb ***,linkages between the extracellular metabolite driven Sb oxidation process and mechanism remain ***,model phenolic and quinone compounds,i.e.,anthraquinone-2,6-disulfonate(AQDS)and hydroquinone(HYD),representing extracellular oxidants secreted by *** HC10,were chosen to further study the Sb(Ⅲ)oxidation mechanism.N_(2)purging and free radical quenching showed that oxygen-induced oxidation accounted for 36.78%of Sb(Ⅲ)in the metabolite reaction system,while hydroxyl free radicals(·OH)accounted for 15.52%.·OH and H_(2)O_(2)are the main driving factors for Sb *** quenching,methanol purification and electron paramagnetic resonance(EPR)analysis revealed that·OH,superoxide radical(O_(2)^(•-))and semiquinone(SQ-•)were reactive intermediates of the phenolic induced oxidation ***-induced ROS are one of the main oxidants in *** voltammetry(CV)showed that electron transfer of quinone also mediated Sb(Ⅲ)*** of Sb(V)was scavenged by the formation of the secondary Sb(V)-bearing mineral mopungite[NaSb(OH)6]in the incubation *** study demonstrates the microbial role of oxidation detoxification and mineralization of Sb and provides scientific references for the biochemical remediation of Sb-contaminated soil.

The isospin asymmetry and quadrupole deformation value of drip-line nuclei are investigated using the Weizsäcker-Skyrme nuclear mass *** observe that for heavy nuclei at the neutron drip line,the Coulomb energy heightened by an aug-mented charge could not be mitigated completely by symmetry energy because of isospin asymmetry saturation but is resisted complementally by strong nuclear *** positions of saltation for the difference in proton numbers between two neighboring nuclei at the neutron drip line,and the isospin asymmetry of the neutron drip-line nucleus as a function of the neutron number distinctly correspond to the known magic numbers,which can serve as a reference to verify the undeter-mined neutron magic *** fitting of the binding energy difference between mirror nuclei(BEDbMN),a set of Coulomb energy coefficients with greater accuracy is obtained.A high-precision description of the BEDbMN is useful for accurately determining the experimentally unknown mass of the nucleus close to the proton drip line if the mass of its mirror nucleus is measured experimentally.

Highly toxic phosgene,diethyl chlorophosphate(DCP)and volatile acyl chlorides endanger our life and public *** achieve facile sensing and discrimination of multiple target analytes,herein,we presented a single fluorescent probe(BDP-CHD)for high-throughput screening of phosgene,DCP and volatile acyl *** probe underwent a covalent cascade reaction with phosgene to form boron dipyrromethene(BODIPY)with bright green *** contrast,DCP,diphosgene and acyl chlorides can covalently assembled with the probe,giving rise to strong blue *** probe has demonstrated high-throughput detection capability,high sensitivity,fast response(within 3 s)and parts per trillion(ppt)level detection ***,a portable platform based on BDP-CHD was constructed,which has achieved high-throughput discrimination of 16 analytes through linear discriminant analysis(LDA).Moreover,a smartphone adaptable RGB recognition pattern was established for the quantitative detection of ***,this portable fluorescence sensing platform can serve as a versatile tool for rapid and high-throughput detection of toxic phosgene,DCP and volatile acyl *** proposed“one for more”strategy simplifies multi-target discrimination procedures and holds great promise for various sensing applications.

Effective nucleus-nucleus potentials for heavy-ion fusion reactions

Based on the Skyrme energy density functional and reaction Q-value,this study proposed an effective nucleus-nucleus poten-tial for describing the capture barrier in heavy-ion fusion *** 443 extracted barrier heights were well reproduced with a root-mean-square(RMS)error of 1.53 MeV,and the RMS deviations with respect to 144 time-dependent Hartree-Fock capture barrier heights were only 1.05 *** with the Siwek-Wilczyński formula,wherein three parameters were determined by the proposed effective potentials,the measured capture cross sections at energies around the barriers were reasonably well reproduced for several fusion reactions induced by nearly spherical nuclei as well as by nuclei with large deformations,such as^(154)Sm and^(238)*** shallow capture pockets and small values of the average barrier radii resulted in the reduction of the capture cross sections for 52,54Cr-and 64 Ni-induced reactions,which were related to the synthesis of new super-heavy nuclei.

A Highly Sensitive Electrochemical Aptasensor for Kanamycin:Leveraging RecJf Exonuclease-Assisted Target Recycling and Hybridization Chain Reaction Signal Amplification

A highly sensitive electrochemical aptasensor was developed for the detection of kanamycin, employing a DNA signal amplification strategy that combines RecJf exonuclease-assisted target recycling with a hybridization chain reaction(HCR).The sensing platform is constructed by covalently immobilizing double-stranded DNA(dsDNA) comprised of a kanamycin-specific aptamer and its thiol-modified complementary strand(SH-CDNA) onto a gold electrode. In the presence of kanamycin and RecJf exonuclease, the aptamer selectively binds to kanamycin, dissociating from the dsDNA complex. The RecJf exonuclease then cleaves the aptamer, releasing kanamycin and initiating a cycle of repetitive binding and *** residual SH-CDNA on the electrode triggers an HCR between two types of ferrocene-labeled hairpin DNA, forming an elongated stable dsDNA nanostructure. This results in an amplified electrochemical signal proportional to the logarithm of kanamycin concentration over a range of 0.01–10 nmol/L, with a remarkable detection limit of 1.8 pmol/L. The aptasensor's performance was validated by analyzing spiked kanamycin in pharmaceutical eye drops and milk samples, yielding recovery rates between 95.6% and 104.8% and relative standard deviations from 1.4% to 4.2%. With its exceptional selectivity and sensitivity, this aptasensor offers a compelling alternative to traditional HPLC for rapid on-site detection of *** on the specificity of aptamers, the sensor design presented herein serves as a valuable blueprint for engineering detectors of other molecules, with significant implications for analytical chemistry and food safety monitoring.

Different mechanisms of Eurasian snow cover on precipitation during the early and late pre-rainy season in South China

The interannual variability in precipitation during the pre-rainy season(PRS) in South China is significantly correlated with Eurasian snow cover. This study elucidates the distinct mechanisms by which Eurasian snow cover anomalies in March influence precipitation during the early(pre-monsoon) and late(post-monsoon) PRS. In the early PRS, anomalous snow cover in the western region of Eastern Europe(WEE) triggers a southeastward-propagating wave train that impacts Central *** teleconnection pattern induces anomalous cyclonic circulation in Central Asia, which reinforces the midlatitude zonal wind,contributing to the zonal wind wave train pattern towards East Asia. As a result, the East Asian subtropical westerly jet and the western North Pacific subtropical high are enhanced, and the related upper-level divergence, ascending motion, and moisture convergence in South China are intensified, collectively promoting precipitation there. In contrast, during the late PRS, increased snow cover across the eastern sector of Eastern Europe(EEE) and the region east of Lake Baikal(ELB) inhibit South China's precipitation. The wave pattern associated with the EEE(ELB) snow anomaly propagates southeastwards(southwards) to lower latitudes, intensifying the western North Pacific subtropical high. Furthermore, the perturbation stemming from the ELB region induces negative geopotential height anomalies aloft and amplifies the baroclinic anticyclone over the western Pacific. This resulted in prevailing subsidence over South China, which in turn suppresses precipitation during the late PRS. Numerical experiments corroborate the observed circulation adjustments and precipitation responses to snow cover anomalies in the two periods, lending credence to the proposed mechanisms.

Single crystal Ni-rich cathode materials（SCNCM） are a good supplement in the market of nickel-based materials due to their safety and excellent electrochemical ***,the challenges of cation mixing,phase change during charge/discharge,and low thermal stability remain unresolved in single crystal *** address these issues,SCNCM are rationally modified by incorporating transition metal（TM） oxides,and the influence of metal ions with different valence states on the electrochemical properties of SCNCM is methodically explored through experimental results and theoretical *** structural stability is demonstrated in SCNCM after the modifications,and the degree of improvement in the matrix materials varies depending on the valence state of doped TM *** highest structural stability is found in WO3-modified SCNCM,due to the smaller effective ion radii,higher electro-negativity,stronger W-O bond,and efficient suppression of oxygen vacancy *** a result,WO3-modified SCNCM have outstanding cycle performance,with a capacity retention rate of90.2% after 200 *** study provides an insight into the design of advanced SCNCM with enhanced reversibility and cyclability.
