Multifunctional polyeugenol-based nanoparticles with antioxidant and antibacterial properties

Over the past few decades,extensive scientific has been dedicated to polymer synthesis employing renewable *** this study,we devised and synthesized multifunctional polyeugenol-based nanoparticles,exhibiting remarkable antioxidant and antibacterial *** grafting of eugenol onto the nanoparticle surface was achieved via a thiol-ene chemical reaction with a grafting rate of 3.5%.To comprehend the properties of the synthesized nanoparticles,we employed Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and pyrolysis-gas chromatography mass *** scanning electron microscopic and transmission electron microscopic analyses revealed the presence of a crosslinked structure within the polyeugenol-based nanoparticles,as well as a heteroge-neous microsphere structure on the *** to the inherent crosslinking structure,the polyeugenol-based nanoparticles demonstrated robust the resistance to solvents,as ascertained through thermog-ravimetric analysis and solvent resistance ***,nitrogen adsorption/desorption studies confirmed the adsorption capacity of the polyeugenol-based nanoparticles,rendering them potentially suitable for drug transport ***,the assays for assessing cytocompatibility and reactive oxygen species scavenging activities demonstrated better performance of the eugenol-based nano-particles compared to ***,the polyeugenol-based nanoparticles exhibited certain bactericidal activities against Escherichia coli,Staphylococcus aureus,and Fusobacterium ***,these observations indicated the nontoxic nature and expansive application prospects of the polyeugenol-based nanoparticles in the domains of medicine and food *** work presented a pioneering concept for the development of antioxidant and antibacterial multifunctional polymer materials derived from eugenol.

New structure transistors for advanced technology node CMOS ICs

Over recent decades, advancements in complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor integrated circuits(ICs)have mainly relied on structural innovations in transistors. From planar transistors to the fin field-effect transistor(FinFET) and gate-all-around FET(GAAFET), more gate electrodes have been added to three-dimensional(3d) channels with enhanced control and carrier conductance to provide higher electrostatic integrity and higher operating currents within the same device footprint. Beyond the 1-nm node, Moore's law scaling is no longer expected to be applicable to geometrical shrinkage. Vertical transistor stacking, e.g. in complementary FETs(CFET), 3d stack(3dS) FETs and vertical-channel transistors(VFET), for enhanced density and variable circuit or system design represents a revolutionary scaling approach for sustained IC development. Herein, innovative works on specific structures, key process breakthroughs, shrinking cell sizes and design methodologies for transistor structure research and development are reviewed. Perspectives on future innovations in advanced transistors with new channel materials and operating theories are also discussed.

Knowledge Graph Completion Method of Combining Structural Information with Semantic Information

With the development of knowledge graphs, a series of applications based on knowledge graphs have emerged. The incompleteness of knowledge graphs makes the effect of the downstream applications and affected by the quality of the knowledge graphs. To improve the quality of knowledge graphs, translation-based graph embeddings, such as TransE, learn structural information by rep-resenting triples as low-dimensional dense vectors. However, is difficult to generalize to unseen entities, Entities that are not observed during training but appear during testing. The other methods use the powerful representational ability of pre-trained language models to learn entity descriptions and contextual representation of triples. Although they are robust to incompleteness, but they need to calculate the score of all candidate entities for each triple during inference. We consider combining two models to enhance the robustness of unseen entities by semantic information, and prevent combined explosion by reducing inference overhead through structured information. We use a pre-training language model to code triples and learn the semantic information within them, and then use a hyperbolic space-based distance model to learn structural information and integrate the two types of information together. We evaluate our model by performing link prediction experi-ments in standard datasets. In experiments, our model achieves better performances than state-of-the-art methods on two standard datasets.

Improving lipid production by rhodotorula glutinis for renewable fuel production based on machine learning

Microbial lipid fermentation encompasses intricate complex cell growth processes and heavily relies on expert experience for optimal *** modeling of the fermentation process assists researchers in making intelligent decisions,employing logical reasoning and strategic planning to optimize lipid *** this study,the effects of medium components and concen-trations on lipid fermentation were investigated,*** then,leveraging the collated data,a variety of machine learning algorithms were used to model and optimize the lipid fermentation *** models,based on artificial neural networks and support vector machines,achieved r?values all higher than 0.93,ensuring accurate predictions of the fermentation *** linear regression was used to evaluate the respective target parameter,which were affected by the medium components of lipid ***,single and multi-objective optimiza-tion were conducted for lipid fermentation using the genetic *** results demonstrated the maximum biomass of 50.3 g·L^(-1) and maximum lipid concentration of 14.1 g:L^(-1) with the error between the experimental and predicted values less than 5%.The results of the multi-objective optimization reveal the synergistic and competitive relationship between biomass,lipid concentration,and conversion rate,which lay a basis for in-depth optimization and amplification.

Two-year longitudinal change in choroidal and retinal thickness in school-aged myopic children:exploratory analysis of clinical trials for myopia progression

Apoptosis is an important process for organism development that functions to eliminate cell damage,maintain homeostasis,and remove obsolete tissues during *** mammals,apoptosis is accompanied by the release of cytochrome C(Cyt-c)from mitochondria to the ***,whether this process is conserved in the fruit fly,drosophila melanogaster,remains *** this study,we discovered that during the degradation of drosophila salivary gland,the transcription of mitochondria apoptosis factors(MAPFs),Cyt-c,and death-associated APAF1-related killer(dark)encoding genes are all upregulated antecedent to initiator and effector caspases encoding *** proteins Cyt-c and the active caspase 3 appear gradually in the cytoplasm during salivary gland ***,the Cyt-c protein colocates with mito-GFP,the marker indicating cytoplasmic mitochondria,and the change in mitochondrial membrane potential coincides with the appearance of Cyt-c in the ***,impeding or promoting 20E-induced transcription factor E93 suppresses or enhances the staining of Cyt-c and the active caspase 3 in the cytoplasm of salivary gland,and accordingly decreases or increases the mitochondrial membrane potential,*** research provides evidence that cytoplasmic Cyt-c appears before apoptosis during drosophila salivary gland degradation,shedding light on partial conserved mechanism in apoptosis between insects and mammals.

Single-atom catalysts(SACs)are a series of catalysts in which all metal species are atomically dispersed on oxides,zeolites,sulfides,carbons,and so *** concept describing how atoms arrange with their nearest neighbors was proposed in 1969 by Van Hardeveld and co-workers[1],and researchers witness the growing popularity of SACs[2].However,the first long-standing issue in SACs is that the low concentration of active sites on the ***,weak chemical bonds between active sites with supports cannot sustain the functionalities of the SACs during long-term reactions,especially ones run at harsh conditions(high temperature or humidity,strong oxidative conditions).The loss or aggregation of active sites in SACs require substantial efforts to address the existing drawbacks in traditional SACs.

Ocean bottom node(OBN)data acquisition is the main development direction of marine seismic exploration;it is widely promoted,especially in shallow sea ***,the OBN receivers may move several times because they are easily affected by tides,currents,and other factors in the shallow sea environment during long-term *** uncorrected,then the imaging quality of subsequent processing will be *** conventional secondary positioning does not consider the case of multiple movements of the receivers,and the accuracy of secondary positioning is *** first arrival wave of OBN seismic data in shallow ocean mainly comprises refracted *** this study,a nonlinear model is established in accordance with the propagation mechanism of a refracted wave and its relationship with the time interval curve to realize the accurate location of multiple receiver *** addition,the Levenberg-Marquart algorithm is used to reduce the influence of the first arrival pickup error and to automatically detect the receiver movements,identifying the accurate dynamic relocation of the *** simulation and field data show that the proposed method can realize the dynamic location of multiple receiver movements,thereby improving the accuracy of seismic imaging and achieving high practical value.
