This paper proposes a switching structure excitation controller(SSEC)to enhance the transient stability of multimachine power *** SSEC switches between a bangbang funnel excitation controller(BFEC)and a conventional excitation controller(CEC),based on an appropriately designed state-dependent switching *** the tracking error of rotor angle is required to realize the BFEC in a bang-bang manner with two control *** the feasibility assumptions of the BFEC are satisfied,the tracking error of rotor angle can be regulated within the predefined error *** power system having the SSEC installed can achieve faster convergence performance compared to that having the CEC implemented *** studies are carried out in the New England 10-generator 39-bus power *** control performance of the SSEC is evaluated in the cases that three-phase-to-ground fault and transmission line outage occur in the power system,respectively.

Additive manufacturing(AM)of Mg alloys has become a promising strategy for producing complex structures,but the corrosion performance of AM Mg components remains *** this study,wire and arc additive manufacturing(WAAM)was employed to produce single AZ31 *** results revealed that the WAAM AZ31 was characterized by significant grain refinement with non-textured crystallographic orientation,similar phase composition and stabilized corrosion performance comparing to the cast *** varied corrosion behaviors were principally ascribed to the size of grain,where cast AZ31 and WAAM AZ31 were featured by micro galvanic corrosion and intergranular corrosion,respectively.

The divergence and continuous evolution of plants and animals contribute to ecological *** and transcription factors(TFs) are key determinants of gene regulation and transcription ***,theevolutionary trajectories and relationships of promoters and TFs are still poorly understood. Here, we conducted extensive analysis of large-scale multi-omics sequences in 420 animal species and 223 plant species spanning nearly a billion years of evolutionary history. Results showed that promoter GC-contentandTFisoelectricpoints,as features/signatures that accompany long biological evolution, exhibited increasing growth in animal cells but a decreasing trend in plant cells. Furthermore, the evolutionary trajectories of promoter and TF signatures in the animal kingdom provided further evidence that Mammalia as well as Aves evolved directly from the ancestor Reptilia. The strong correlation between promoter and TF signatures indicates that promoters and TFs formed antagonistic coevolution in the animal kingdom, but mutualistic coevolution in the plant kingdom. The distinct coevolutionary patterns potentially drive the plant-animal divergence, divergent evolution and ecological diversity.

Arctic sea ice plays an essential role in regional and global climate by dynamic processes and feedbacks associated with its high reflectivity, thermal insulation especially in presence of snow cover, and brine rejection [1]. Both observations and model simulations show that Arctic sea ice extent has dramatically declined and thinned in the past few decades [2] in response to global warming and cumulative anthropogenic greenhouse gas(GHG)emissions [3,4].

Kiwifruit is an economically and nutritionally important fruit crop with extremely high contents of vitamin ***,the previously released versions of kiwifruit genomes all have a mass of unanchored or missing ***,we report a highly continuous and completely gap-free reference genome of Actinidia chinensis cv.‘Hongyang’,named Hongyang v4.0,which is the first to achieve two de novo haploid-resolved haplotypes,HY4P and ***4P and HY4A have a total length of 606.1 and 599.6 Mb,respectively,with almost the entire telomeres and centromeres assembled in each *** comparison with Hongyang v3.0,the integrity and contiguity of Hongyang v4.0 is markedly improved by filling all unclosed gaps and correcting some misoriented regions,resulting in∼38.6–39.5 Mb extra sequences,which might affect 4263 and 4244 protein-coding genes in HY4P and HY4A,***,our gap-free genome assembly provides the first clue for inspecting the structure and function of ***,centromeric regions are characterized by higher-order repeats that mainly consist of a 153-bp conserved centromere-specific monomer(Ach-CEN153)with different copy numbers among *** enrichment analysis of the genes located within centromeric regions demonstrates that chromosome centromeres may not only play physical roles for linking a pair of sister chromatids,but also have genetic features for participation in the regulation of cell *** availability of the telomere-to-telomere and gap-free Hongyang v4.0 reference genome lays a solid foundation not only for illustrating genome structure and functional genomics studies but also for facilitating kiwifruit breeding and improvement.

In order to obtain reasonable schemes of arrester in converter stations, the arrester scheme of "Xiluodu-guangdong HVDC ± 500 kV double circuit transmission" project against lighting induced overvoltage, which was designed according to the main principle of lightning protection in converter station, is discussed. A calculation of the lighting induced overvoltage in Zhaotong converter station un- der various operation modes is performed with ATP-EMTP software, then the surge arrester configuration of the converter station is decided, and the arrester protection schemes of smoothing reactor and neutral line are studied. It is concluded that additional protection is necessary because of the relatively large gap between protected disconnecting switch and arrester of metallic return transfer bus. Plus, the smoothing reactor (SR) arrester near the valve hall could be removed to improve the scheme’s economic performance.

Greenland is the world’s largest island and over three-quarter of the entire land area is covered by the Greenland Ice Sheet(GrIS),which is the only permanent ice sheet besides *** to the global warming,GrIS is undergoing rapid changes[1,2],which has caused some environmental risks for the life of local people of *** mass balance has been studied for several decades and we understand some its mass balance mechanism[3].However,the mechanism of GrIS changes is still unclear due to the lack of research data for Greenland.A satellite image mosaic is an important type of research data for Greenland *** can record the changes of land surface features with a relatively fine spatial resolution and support a variety of scientific researches in Greenland,such as supraglacial streams,rivers and lakes monitoring,mass balance estimation and land cover classification[4–6].The first Landsat Image Mosaic of Greenland(LIMG-GIMP)was released in 2014 by the Greenland Ice Mapping Project[7].The satellite images used to develop LIMG-GIMP were acquired between 1999 and 2002,which cannot represent recent GrIS ***,a new mosaic constructed by recent data is needed to monitor these changes of GrIS for future studies of Greenland.

Porous active core-shell carbon material with excellent synergistic effect has been regarded as a prospective material for ***,we report an integrated method for the facile synthesis of carbide-derived carbon(CDC)encapsulated with porous N-doped carbon(CDC@NC)towards highperformance ***(PDA)as nitrogen and carbon sources was simply coated on SiC nanospheres to form SiC@PDA,which was then directly transformed into CDC@NC via a onestep molten salt electro-etching/in-situ doping *** synthesized CDC@NC with hierarchically porous structure has a high specific surface area of 1191 m^(2) g^(-1).The CDC core and NC shell are typical amorphous carbon and more ordered N-doped carbon,*** from its unique dual porous structures,the CDC@NC demonstrates high specific capacitances of 255 and 193 F g^(-1) at 0.5 and20 A g^(-1),*** reaction mechanism of the electro-etching/in-situ doping process has also been investigated through experimental characterizations and theoretical density functional theory *** is suggested that the molten salt electro-etching/in-situ doping strategy is promising for the synthesis of active core-shell porous carbon materials with synergistic properties for supercapacitors without the need for additional doping/activation processes.

Cubature Kalman Filter(CKF)offers a promising solution to handle the data fusion of integrated nonlinear INS/GNSS(Inertial Navigation System/Global Navigation Satellite System)***,its accuracy is degraded by inaccurate kinematic noise statistics which originate from disturbances of system *** paper develops a method of closed-loop feedback covariance control to address the above problem of *** this method,the posterior state and its covariance are fed back to the filtering process to constitute a closed-loop structure for CKF covariance ***,based on the maximum likelihood principle,a control scheme of the prior state covariance is established by using the feedback state and covariance within an estimation window and further adopting a proportional coefficient to amplify the feedback terms in recent time steps for the full use of new information to reflect actual system *** it does not directly use kinematic noise covariance,the proposed method can effectively avoid the adverse impact of inaccurate kinematic noise statistics on filtering ***,it can also guarantee the prior state covariance to be positive semi-definite without involving extra *** efficacy of the proposed method is validated by simulations and experiments for integrated INS/GNSS navigation.
