Sandwiched functionally-graded piezoelectric semiconductor(FGPS)plates possess high strength and excellent piezoelectric and semiconductor properties,and have significant potential applications in micro-electro-mechanical *** multi-field coupling and free vibration of a sandwiched FGPS plate are studied,and the governing equation and natural frequency are derived with the consideration of electron *** material properties in the functionally-graded layers are assumed to vary smoothly,and the first-order shear deformation theory is introduced to derive the multi-field coupling in the *** total strain energy of the plate is obtained,and the governing equations are presented by using Hamilton’s *** introducing the boundary conditions,the coupling physical fields are *** numerical examples,the natural frequencies of sandwiched FGPS plates under different geometrical and physical parameters are *** is found that the initial electron density can be used to modulate the natural frequencies and vibrational displacement of sandwiched FGPS plates in the case of *** effects of the material properties of FGPS layers on the natural frequencies are also examined in detail.

Spatiotemporal analysis of COVID-19 risk in guangdong Province based on population migration

Population migration,especially population inflow from epidemic areas,is a key source of the risk related to the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)*** paper selects guangdong Province,China,for a case *** utilizes big data on population migration and the geospatial analysis technique to develop a model to achieve spatiotemporal analysis of COVID-19 *** model takes into consideration the risk differential between the source cities of population migration as well as the heterogeneity in the socioeconomic characteristics of the destination cities of population *** further incorporates a time-lag process based on the time distribution of the onset of the imported *** theory,the model will be able to predict the evolutional trend and spatial distribution of the COVID-19 risk for a certain time period in the future and provide support for advanced planning and targeted prevention *** research findings indicate the following:(1)The COVID-19 epidemic in guangdong Province reached a turning point on January 29,2020,after which it showed a gradual decreasing trend.(2)Based on the time-lag analysis of the onset of the imported cases,it is common fora time interval to exist between case importation and illness onset,and the proportion of the cases with an interval of 1-14 days is relatively high.(3)There is evident spatial heterogeneity in the epidemic risk;the risk varies significantly between different areas based on their imported risk,susceptibility risk,and ability to prevent the spread.(4)The degree of connectedness and the scale of population migration between guangdong’s prefecture-level cities and their counterparts in the source regions of the epidemic,as well as the transportation and location factors of the cities in guangdong,have a significant impact on the risk classification of the cities in *** first-tier cities-Shenzhen and Guangzhou-are high-risk *** cities in the Pearl River Delta that are adjacent

Improved observation of colonized roots reveals the regulation of arbuscule development and senescence by drought stress in the arbuscular mycorrhizae of citrus

Citrus is the typical mycorrhizal fruit tree species establishing symbiosis with arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) fungi. However, arbuscule development and senescence in colonized citrus roots, especially in response to drought stress, remain unclear, which is mainly due to the difficulty in clearing and staining lignified roots with the conventional method. Here, we improved the observation of colonized roots of citrus plants with the sectioning method, which enabled the clear observation of AM fungal structures. Furthermore, we investigated the effects of one week of drought stress on arbuscule development and senescence with the sectioning method. Microscopy observations indicated that drought stress significantly decreased mycorrhizal colonization (F%and M%) although it did not affect plant growth performance. Fluorescence probes (WGA 488 and/or Nile red) revealed that drought stress inhibited arbuscule development by increasing the percentage of arbuscules at the early stage and decreasing the percentages of arbuscules at the midterm and mature stages. Meanwhile, drought stress accelerated arbuscule senescence, which was characterized by the increased accumulation of neutral lipids. Overall, the sectioning method developed in this study enables the in-depth investigation of arbuscule status, and drought stress can inhibit arbuscule development but accelerate arbuscule senescence in the colonized roots of citrus plants. This study paves the way to elaborately dissecting the arbuscule dynamics in the roots of fruit tree species in response to diverse abiotic stresses.

Effects of the Casimir force on the properties of a hybrid optomechanical system

We investigate the effects of the Casimir force on the output properties of a hybrid optomechanical system. In this system, a nanosphere is fixed on the movable-mirror side of the standard optomechanical system, and the nanosphere interacts with the movable-mirror via the Casimir force, which depends on the mirror–sphere separation. In the presence of the probe and control fields, we analyze the transmission coefficient and the group delay of the field-component with the frequency of the probe field. We also study the transmission intensity of the field-component with the frequency of a newly generated four-wave mixing(FWM) field. By manipulating the Casimir force, we find that a tunable slow light can be realized for the field-component with the frequency of the probe field, and the intensity spectrum of the FWM field can be enhanced and shifted effectively.

Mapping winter wheat using phenological feature of peak before winter on the North China Plain based on time-series MODIS data

By employing the unique phenological feature of winter wheat extracted from peak before winter （PBW） and the advantages of moderate resolution imaging spectroradiometer （MODIS） data with high temporal resolution and intermediate spatial resolution, a remote sensing-based model for mapping winter wheat on the North China Plain was built through integration with Landsat images and land-use data. First, a phenological window, PBW was drawn from time-series MODIS data. Next, feature extraction was performed for the PBW to reduce feature dimension and enhance its information. Finally, a regression model was built to model the relationship of the phenological feature and the sample data. The amount of information of the PBW was evaluated and compared with that of the main peak （MP）. The relative precision of the mapping reached up to 92% in comparison to the Landsat sample data, and ranged between 87 and 96% in comparison to the statistical data. These results were sufficient to satisfy the accuracy requirements for winter wheat mapping at a large scale. Moreover, the proposed method has the ability to obtain the distribution information for winter wheat in an earlier period than previous studies. This study could throw light on the monitoring of winter wheat in China by using unique phenological feature of winter wheat.

Label-noise robust classification with multi-view learning

Label noise is often contained in the training data due to various human factors or measurement errors,which significantly causes a negative effect on *** many previous methods that have been proposed to learn robust classifiers,they are mainly based on the single-view *** the other hand,although existing multi-view classification methods benefit from the more comprehensive information,they rarely consider label *** this paper,we propose a novel label-noise robust classification model with multi-view learning to overcome these *** the proposed model,not only the classifier learning but also the label-noise removal can benefit from the multi-view ***,we relax the label matrix of the basic multi-view least squares regression model,and develop a nonlinear transformation with a natural probabilistic approximation in the process of labels,which is conveniently optimized and beneficial to improve the discriminative ability of ***,we preserve the intrinsic manifold structure of multi-view data on the relaxed label matrix,facilitating the process of label *** optimizing the proposed model with the nonlinear transformation,we derive a lemma about the partial derivation of the softmax related function,and develop an efficient alternating *** evaluations on six real-world datasets confirm the advantages of the proposed method,compared to the related state-of-the-art methods.

Sonodynamic therapy(SDT)has aroused considerable momentum in cancer therapy due to its abilities of deep penetration,low toxicity,and noninvasion,while insufficient tumor accumulation of sonosensitizers is a major obstacle for SDT ***,we developed a 4T1 cancer cell-macrophage hybrid membrane(HM)-camouflaged sonosensitizer nanoplatform by encapsulating photochlor(HPPH)-loaded albumin nanoparticles(PHNPs).The experimental results proved that the HM-coated biomimetic NPs(PHNPs@HM)could express the characteristic membrane proteins of both cancer cells and macrophages,remarkedly enhancing the effective targeting and endocytosis to 4T1 cells through homologous adhesion recognition and immune ***,as a novel sonosensitizer,HPPH could generate amount of reactive oxygen species(ROS)under ultrasound(US)irradiation and exhibit obvious SDT efficiency to inhibit 4T1 tumor growth through ROS-induced cell *** study provides a novel and multifunctional biomimetic sonosensitizer system to enhance SDT efficiency.

Whole-genome sequencing of leopard coral grouper(Plectropomus leopardus) and exploration of regulation mechanism of skin color and adaptive evolution

Leopard coral groupers belong to the Plectropomus genus of the Epinephelidae family and are important fish for coral reef ecosystems and the marine aquaculture industry. To promote future research of this species, a high-quality chromosome-level genome was assembled using PacBio sequencing and Hi-C technology. A 787.06 Mb genome was assembled, with 99.7%(784.57 Mb) of bases anchored to 24 chromosomes. The leopard coral grouper genome size was smaller than that of other groupers, which may be related to its ancient status among grouper species. A total of 22 317 proteincoding genes were predicted. This high-quality genome of the leopard coral grouper is the first genomic resource for Plectropomus and should provide a pivotal genetic foundation for further research. Phylogenetic analysis of the leopard coral grouper and 12 other fish species showed that this fish is closely related to the brown-marbled *** genes in the leopard coral grouper genome were mainly associated with immune response and movement ability, which may be related to the adaptive evolution of this species to its habitat. In addition, we also identified differentially expressed genes(DEGs) associated with carotenoid metabolism between red and brown-colored leopard coral groupers. These genes may play roles in skin color decision by regulating carotenoid content in these groupers.
