Small RNA deep sequencing reveals the presence of multiple viral infections in cucurbit crops in guangdong,China

Viral diseases are among the most critical damaging factors that impose a global threat to the cucurbit *** is the world’s leading country for the production and consumption of ***,a province in southern China dominated by the tropical and subtropical climate,favors the survival of different plant viruses and their *** main cucurbit crops showing various disease symptoms were surveyed and collected to identify viruses infecting cucurbits in guangdong during 2018–*** the field,the incidence ranged from 5-30%,or even 60-100% in the case of severely infected cucurbits.A total of 357 symptomatic samples were collected and subsequently screened for cucurbit viruses by small RNA deep sequencing and assembly(sRSA).Seventeen virus species belonging to 10 genera were identified in the five main cucurbit *** most common viruses were papaya ringspot virus(PRSV;Potyvirus),zucchini tigre mosaic virus(ZTMV;Potyvirus),zucchini yellow mosaic virus(ZYMV;Potyvirus),and watermelon silver mottle virus(WSMoV;Orthotospovirus),with infection rates of 24.4,19.0,17.1,and 14.3%,***,the most prevalent viruses were melon yellow spot orthotospovirus(MYSV)in cucumber,PRSV in squash,cucumber green mottle mosaic virus(CGMMV;Tobamovirus)in bottle gourd,WSMoV in white gourd,and ZYMV in *** infections were prevalent,and the types of mixed infections varied substantially in different cucurbit ***,the full-length nucleotide sequences of watermelon green mottle mosaic virus(WGMMV),CGMMV,and watermelon virus A(WVA;Wamavirus)identified in bottle gourd were cloned and *** study is the first reporting WGMMV infecting bottle gourd in China *** summary,the results demonstrate that in guangdong,the most prevalent viruses belong to potyviruses,orthotospoviruses,and tobamoviruses *** findings will facilitate agricultural researchers and farmers to plan and implement effective disease control strategies aimi

Theoretical and exploratory research on sustainability mental model of the public in China:based on a typical survey in guangdong province

This article aims to investigate the public's sustainability mental model(SMM), which can reveal the sustainability dilemma from the public respective, other than enterprise or government. In this article, SMM is defined as one's cognitive structure, thinking mode, and behavior tendency when someone deals with sustainability issues. After theoretical analysis, the authors developed reliable and valid measures systematically and conducted a typical survey with 581 participants from college students' families in guangdong province in China. Based on those samples, the author used the exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis to construct a measurement model of SMM, which includes three dimensions, i.e. sustainable cognition, sustainable thinking, and sustainable behavior intention. According to SMM survey and clustering analysis, the results indicate that SMM of those participants is inactive. Even though those samples do not represent the whole country comprehensively, but this survey was sampled typically and they came from around China. So, the authors consider the SMM scores can reflect Chinese people to some extent, leading to the assumption that SMM of Chinese people is not active presently.

Background Diabetes mellitus has become epidemic in recent years in China. We investigated the prevalence of hyperglycaemia and inadequate glycaemic control among type 2 diabetic inpatients from ten university teaching hospitals in guangdong Province, China. Methods Inadequate glycaemic control in diabetic patients was defined as HbA1c 〉 6.5%. Therapeutic regimens included no-intervention, lifestyle only, oral antiglycemic agents （OA）, insulin plus OA （insulin＋OA）, or insulin only. Antidiabetic managements included monotherapy, double therapy, triple or quadruple therapy. Results Among 493 diabetic inpatients with known history, 75% had HbA1c ≥ 6.5%. inadequate glucose control rates were more frequently seen in patients on insulin＋OA regimen （97%） ,than on OA regimen （71%）（P 〈0.001）, and more frequent in patients on combination therapy （81%-96%） than monotherapy （7,5%）（P 〈0.0,5）. Patients on insulin differed significantly from patients on OA by mean HbA1c, glycemic control rate, diabetes duration, microvascular complications, and BMI （P 〈0.01）. Conclusions This study showed that glycaemic control of type 2 diabetic patients deteriorated for patients who received insulin and initiation time of insulin was usually delayed, it is up to clinicians to move from the traditional stepwise therapy to a more active and early combination antidiabetic therapy to provide better glucose control.

Complete Genome Sequence Analysis of guangdong Isolates of Cymbidium Mosaic Virus

[Objectives]The paper was to explore the genetic information and evolution of CymMV,and to provide an important scientific basis for monitoring and early warning of orchid virus disease and anti-virus genetic engineering of orchid in guangdong Province.[Methods]RT-PCR and DASELISA were used to detect and identify CymMV from leaves with suspected virus disease of Cymbidium sinense collected from Guangzhou *** genome sequence assembly,annotation,phylogeny and selection pressure analysis of CymMV isolates were performed with related molecular biology software.[Results]Two CymMV isolates(GZV013 and ZC29)were found in guangdong Province for the first time in this *** genome of both GZV013 and ZC29 were 6227 nt in length,encoding 5 functional *** similarity analysis of the full sequence showed that the nucleotide sequence identity of GZV013 and Taiwan isolate M2 was 97.03% and that of ZC29 and Nanjing isolate NJ-1 was 97.11%.The complete genome sequence identity among CymMV isolates ranged from 86.85% to 98.31%,and the differentiation of diverse populations was closely related to host species and geographical *** region of CymMV genome was affected by negative selection and conformed to the neutral evolution *** genes encoding RdRp,TGB1 and TGB2 had the highest mutation rates in the genome.[Conclusions]GZV013 was most closely related to Taiwan isolate M2,and ZC29 was most closely related to Nanjing isolate NJ-1,belonging to the same branch of a family.

A Preliminary Study on the Red Beds in the Northern Heyuan Basin, guangdong Province, China

The red beds of the northern Heyuan Basin （guangdong Province, China） are more than 4,000 m thick. Based on the lithological characters, in ascending order these beds are divided into the Dafeng Formation, Zhutian Formation, and Zhenshui Formation of the Nanxiong Group, Shanghu Formation and Danxia Formation. The Nanxiong Group with relatively mature coarse clastic rocks attains about 2940 m in thickness. The Dafeng Formation is 837 m thick, consisting of conglomerates and sandy conglomerates; the Zhutian Formation, which is 1.200 m thick, consists of purplish red sandstone with gravels, poorly sorted sandstone, feldspathic quartzose sandstone banded granular conglomerate, siltstone, and sandy mudstone. The Zhutian Formation is rich in calcareous concretions. Heyuannia （Oviraptoridae） and turtle fossils were found in this formation. The Zhenshui Formation deposited to a thickness of 900 m consists of coarse sediments, including granular conglomerate, and gravelly sandstone with well developed cross-beddings; the Shanghu Formation, which is 820 m thick, consists of purplish red granular conglomerate coarse sandstone intercalated with fine si^tstone; the Danxia Formation characterized by the Danxia ~andform is composed of coarse c^astic gravels and sandy gravels. The lower part of the Nanxiong Group whence dinosaur eggs and derived oviraptorosaurs come, belongs to the Late Cretaceous. No fossils are found in the Shanghu Formation or the Danxia Formation, but their stratigraphic order of superposition on the Nanxiong Group clearly shows their younger age.

PLATE COLLISION IN EAST TAIWAN AND COAST AL AREA OF FUJIAN AND guangdong AS WELL AS FORMATION OF SEISMIC SCREEN REGION

Based on the comparative study of geophysical data, geotectonic features, seismicity and other rela-tive data of Taiwan and the coastal area of southern Fujian and eastern guangdong, it was found that theSouth China continent is linked to the western part of the longitudinal valley in the east coast of Taiwanthrough the Dongshan-Beigang undersea uplift. The unique collision between the Philippine Sea plate andthe Eurasian plate east of Taiwan coupled with the characteristic plate margin structures causes a stressconcentration in this region. Most of the resulting strain energy was released by volcanism, seismicity, hotsprings, crusta1 deformation. And part of the stress was transmitted into the coastal area of Fujian andguangdong through the Dongshan-Beigang uplift to form the Quanzhou-Shantou seismic zone whichacted as a screen to make the South China inland region of few and weak shocks.

Economic Development in the guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area:Spatial Pattern,Influencing Factors,and implications-Based on the Hierarchical Data of Two-Layer Administrative Regions
