Evolutionary Particle Swarm Optimization Algorithm Based on Collective Prediction for Deployment of Base Stations

The wireless signals emitted by base stations serve as a vital link connecting people in today’s society and have been occupying an increasingly important role in real *** development of the Internet of Things(IoT)relies on the support of base stations,which provide a solid foundation for achieving a more intelligent way of *** a specific area,achieving higher signal coverage with fewer base stations has become an urgent ***,this article focuses on the effective coverage area of base station signals and proposes a novel Evolutionary Particle Swarm Optimization(EPSO)algorithm based on collective prediction,referred to herein as *** a new strategy called neighbor-based evolution prediction(NEP)addresses the issue of premature convergence often encountered by *** also employs a strengthening evolution(SE)strategy to enhance the algorithm’s global search capability and efficiency,ensuring enhanced robustness and a faster convergence speed when solving complex optimization *** better adapt to the actual communication needs of base stations,this article conducts simulation experiments by changing the number of base *** experimental results demonstrate thatunder the conditionof 50 ormore base stations,ECPPSOconsistently achieves the best coverage rate exceeding 95%,peaking at 99.4400%when the number of base stations reaches *** results validate the optimization capability of the ECPPSO algorithm,proving its feasibility and *** ablative experiments and comparisons with other algorithms highlight the advantages of ECPPSO.

Recent development in electrode design for wide-temperature supercapacitors

An ever-increasing market demand has stimulated the soaring enthusiasm of researchers to develop wide-temperature supercapacitors(SCs). The active electrode is one of the most important parts of SC, which is directly related to the energy density,power transmission and long-term cyclability of the device in the wide-temperature environment. Compared with the SC electrodes aimed for room-temperature application, the SC electrodes for operating at wide-temperature scene often face greater challenges. In this review, the main challenges of SC electrodes under various temperature conditions, including low, high and cross-fade temperatures, are summarized. The relevant performance decay and failure mechanisms of wide-temperature SC electrodes are analyzed. In addition, this review deals with the recent studies and developments in robust wide-temperature SC electrodes with respect to the rational design of electrode structures and the exploitation of advanced active materials. Finally, the future directions for exploring reliable wide-temperature SCs are also proposed.

Review and Critique on the New Higher education Policy Promoting “The First-Class Major Programs” in China

Purpose:After the concepts of first-class universities,first-class research disciplines,and firstclass undergraduate education,China’s Ministry of education(MOE)proposed a new concept of first-class undergraduate major programs and also proposed policy initiatives for relevant selection and *** article provides an in-depth analysis of the motives,historical background,policy texts,core concepts,and unintended consequences of the policy and proposes six ***/Approach/Methods:This education policy analysis article uses two research *** first is a content analysis that focuses on policy *** second is comparative and historical research that focuses on the history of the undergraduate education organization model in China and the background of the four first-class ***:This article argues that the first-class major programs in undergraduate education include provincial-level points of these programs,which stealthily narrowed the scope for comparison from potentially the whole world to that of *** policy also essentially strengthened the traditional concept of zhuanye as a physical unit and caused unintended consequences in its attempts to cultivate innovative talents and to adjust the zhuanye ***/Value:This article addresses a new education policy in China and its unintended consequences.

The tensile strain in inorganic perovskite films induced by thermal annealing is one of the primary factors contributing to the inefficiency and instability of inorganic perovskite solar cells （IPSCs）,which reduces the defect formation ***,a flexible molecule 5-maleimidovaleric acid （5-MVA） was introduced as a strain buffer to release the residual strain of *** anhydride and carboxyl groups in 5-MVA interact strongly with the uncoordinated Pb2+through Lewis acid-base reaction,thus tightly“pull”the perovskite *** in-between soft carbon chain increased the structural flexibility of CsPbI2.85Br0.15perovskite materials,which effectively relieved the intrinsic internal strain of CsPbI2.85Br0.15,resisted the corrosion of external strain,and also reduced the formation of defects such as VIand *** addition,the introduction of 5-MVA improved crystal quality,passivated residual defects,and narrowed energy level ***,power conversion efficiency （PCE） of NiOxbased inverted IPSCs increased from 19.25% to 20.82% with the open-circuit voltage enhanced from 1.164 V to 1.230 *** release of strain also improved the stability of CsPbI2.85Br0.15perovskite films and devices.

Are Confucius institutes Building Blocks or Stumbling Blocks for Foreign Students in China: An Empirical Study of 190 Countries (1999–2015)

Purpose:This study investigates the impact of Confucius institutes on China’s international education ***,it examines whether the establishment of Confucius institutes has a gravitational effect on the scale of foreign students coming to ***,it discerns whether there are any association between the establishment of Confucius institutes and the attributes of foreign students based on the type of program they ***,it identifies whether there are any differences in the impact of Confucius institutes based on constraints such as the number of foreign students,income levels,cultural distance,and geographical ***/Approach/Methods:Based on the trade gravity model and the push–pull theory,we estimated a two-way fixed-effects model using panel data of all source countries from 1999 to ***:Results show that Confucius institutes have helped China attract more foreign students on Chinese government scholarships,with each institute increasing such enrolment by 1.3%.However,Confucius institutes have resulted in a drop in the total number of foreign students studying in China,especially nondegree *** substitution effect means that the institutes actually help China improve the composition of its foreign *** heterogeneity analysis shows that the substitution effect is primarily driven by the main source ***,this study suggests that China should establish more Confucius institutes in Africa and Eastern Europe to maximize the catalyzing effect of Confucius ***/Value:In contrast to previous studies on foreign scholarship in China,this study examines all 190 source countries from 1999 to *** comprehensive study also explores the heterogeneous effects of foreign students on trade across economic,cultural,and geographical domains.

Review of Quantitative Methods Used in Chinese educational Research,1978-2018

Purpose:This article reviews the development of quantitative methods in educational research in China since ***/Approach/Methods:For this summary and literature review,we used data from the China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),relevant books,and research output from the graduate school of education,Peking ***:We divided the development of quantitative methods in Chinese educational research into four stages:the Startup Stage(1978–1988),the Gradual Application Stage(1989–1998),the Growth Spurt Stage(1999–2008),and the Integrated and Diverse Development Stage(2009–2018).Overall,the development of quantitative methods in Chinese educational research shows sustained innovation in numerous aspects,including research methods,data sources,utilization of advancements in computing technology and statistical software,and research ***,despite the relatively advanced state of quantitative methods,education measurement and evaluation require further *** questionnaire and experimental research data currently available indicate the need to improve the mining and utilization of big ***,while Chinese educational researchers have demonstrated their proficiency in using quantitative research methods,improvements remain to be made with respect to collaboration and ***/Value:This article is the first to analyze systemically the development of quantitative methods in Chinese educational *** provides an original summary of the development and characteristics of quantitative methods in educational research in China.

Traditional Dietary Habits and Interprovincial Migration in College Choice: Evidence From Ningxia in China

Purpose:Every September,millions of students—elite human resources—enter higher education in *** large-scale college-induced migration has substantial impacts on China’s national and local labor *** study examines the migration pattern in college choice and admission among the Hui students in *** doing so,we extend the existing interprovincial migration model by identifying and measuring the role of traditional dietary habits in college migration ***/Approach/Methods:This study uses college entrance examination(Gaokao)admission data for 10 high school graduation cohorts from 2001 to 2010 in the Ningxia Hui Autonomous *** data are used to study the interprovincial migration of the Hui students following their college entrance *** least squares and logit regressions are used to control for other confounding factors,while the method of instrumental variables and placebo group comparison were used to rule out other ***:Results demonstrate that traditional dietary habits produce geographic inequalities in terms of college opportunities for Hui and other minority group ***,after controlling for variables such as college entrance examination scores and personal characteristics,results show that the Hui students are more likely to choose an institution closer to their hometown and preferred institutions located in Ningxia and the northwestern provinces rather than the Yangtze/Pearl River Delta regions and coastal ***,this migration pattern is shaped by the dietary habits of the ***,the Hui students were more likely to choose institutions in underdeveloped areas,resulting in corresponding welfare ***/Value:This study supplements classic college choice literature by documenting a special impact factor of geography previously overlooked by researchers,demonstrating the need to examine the underlying mechanisms of proximity and its significance in college c

Recent studies have suggested that abnormal acidification of lysosomes induces autophagic accumulation of amyloid-βin neurons,which is a key step in senile plaque ***,resto ring normal lysosomal function and rebalancing lysosomal acidification in neurons in the brain may be a new treatment strategy for Alzheimer's *** acetylation/deacetylation plays a central role in lysosomal ***,we show that inhibiting the classic microtubule deacetylase histone deacetylase 6 with an histone deacetylase 6 shRNA or thehistone deacetylase 6 inhibitor valproic acid promoted lysosomal reacidification by modulating V-ATPase assembly in Alzheimer's *** rthermore,we found that treatment with valproic acid markedly enhanced *** clearance of amyloid-βaggregates,and ameliorated cognitive deficits in a mouse model of Alzheimer's *** findings demonstrate a previously unknown neuroprotective mechanism in Alzheimer's disease,in which histone deacetylase 6 inhibition by valproic acid increases V-ATPase assembly and lysosomal acidification.

Trends in the Mincerian Rates of Return to education in Urban China:1989-2009

This study examines the trends in the Mincerian rates of return(MRRs)to education in urban China between 1989 and 2009 using two sources of data:the China Urban Household Survey and the China Health and Nutrition Survey,and attempts to explain the underlying causes of the *** authors find that while the rates of return to education had been rising steadily since 1992 in urban China,a trend consistent with earlier studies,they have stagnated and even shown a statistically insignificant and very small decline between 2004 and *** the conceptual framework of supply,demand and institution in labor economics,the authors show evidence that the rapid rise in MRRs since 1992 has been driven by the strong relative demand for skills and productivity unleashed by the market-oriented economic reforms of the late 1980s and 1990s when relative supply of skilled labor was by and large ***,the“great leap forward”in senior secondary and tertiary education since the late 1990s produced huge numbers of graduates by the mid-2000s,outpacing the growth of relative demand for skilled labor due to the economy’s overdependence on low value-added industries such as manufacturing and *** apparent slowdown in the deepening of marketization since the mid-2000s may have also contributed to the stagnation or slight decline in the returns to education in urban China.
