A high-power CW Yb:YAG slab laser amplifier with no adaptive optics correction has been experimentally *** room temperature,the amplifier emits a power of 22 kW with an average beam quality(β)of less than 3 in 0.5 *** our knowledge,this is the brightest slab laser without closed-loop adaptive optics demonstrated to *** addition,an extracted power of 17 kW with an optical extraction efficiency of 33%,corresponding to a residual optical path difference of less than 0.5μm,is achieved with the single Yb:YAG slab gain *** slab gain module has the potential to be scalable to higher powers while maintaining good beam *** makes a high-power solid-state laser system simpler and more robust.

A new robust bio-inspired route by using lysozyme aqueous solution for surface modification on 1,3,5,7-tetranitro-1,3,5,7-tetrazocane(HMX)was described in this *** crystals were coated by in situ phase transition of lysozyme(pTL)*** HMX decorated by pTL was characterized by SEM,XRD,FTIR and XpS,demonstrating a dense core-shell coating *** coverage of lysozyme on HMX crystal was calculated by the ratio of sulfur *** surface coverage increased from 60.5% to 93.5% when the content of pTL was changed from 0.5 wt% to 2.0 wt%,indicating efficient *** thermal stability of HMX was investigated by in situ XRD and *** thermal phase transition temperature of HMX(β to δ phase)was delayed by 42℃ with 2.0 wt% pTL coating,which prevented HMX from thermal damage and sensitivity by the effect of pTL *** heating at 215℃,large cracks appeared in the naked HMX crystal,while the pTL coated HMX still maintained intact,with the impact energy of HMX dropped dramatically from 5 J to 2 ***,the impact energy of HMX with 1.0 wt% and 2.0 wt% coating content(HMX@pTL-1.0 and HMX@pTL-2.0)was unchanged(5 J).present results potentially enable large-scale fabrication of polymorphic energetic materials with outstanding thermal stability by novel lysozyme coating.

We propose a scheme that utilizes weak-field-induced quantum beats to investigate the electronic coherences of atoms driven by a strong attosecond extreme ultraviolet(XUV)*** technique involves using a strong XUV pump pulse to excite and ionize atoms and a time-delayed weak short pulse to probe the photoelectron *** theoretical analysis demonstrates that the information regarding the bound states,initiated by the strong pump pulse,can be precisely reconstructed from the weak-field-induced quantum beat *** examine this scheme,we apply it to the attosecond XUV laser-induced ionization of hydrogen atoms by solving a three-dimensional time-dependent Schr?dinger *** work provides an essential reference for reconstructing the ultrafast dynamics of bound states induced by strong XUV attosecond pulses.

Density order is usually a consequence of the competition between long-range and short-range *** we report a density ordered superfluid emergent from a homogeneous Mott insulator due to the competition between frustrations and local *** transition is found in a Bose–Hubbard model on a frustrated triangle lattice with an extra pairing ***,we find a quantum phase transition between two different density ordered superfluids,which is beyond the Landau–Ginzburg(LG)paradigm.A U(1)symmetry is emergent at the critical point,while the symmetry in each density ordered superfluid is Z_(2)×Z_(3).We call the transition a‘shamrock transition’,due to its degenerate ground state in the parameter space being a shamrock-like curve rather than a circle in an LG-type *** low energy theories are established for the two transitions mentioned above and we find their resemblance and differences with clock models.
