Hidden natural products are representative of defensive strategies produced in vivo in diseased plants,a process that is induced by the plant immune *** first transcriptome library of uninfected and pathogen infected Hibiscus tiliaceus stems was constructed by transcriptome sequencing technology,genes related to cadinene-type sesquiterpenoid biosynthesis were screened and combined with ultra-performance liquid chromatography-quadrupole-time of flight mass spectrometry(UPLC-QTOF-MS)analysis data,which indicated pathological tissue had potential to produce novel carbon skeletons of cadinane sesquiterpenoid ***,two cadinane-derived sesquiterpenoid dimers with unprecedented carbon skeletons,hibisceusanols A(1)and B(2)were isolated for the first time from the stems of *** induced by plant-microbial *** structures and absolute configurations were unambiguously established by spectroscopy,advanced chemistry development(ACD)and electronic circular dichroism(ECD)*** 1 and 2 exhibited significant antitumor activity in vitro with half maximal inhibitory concentration(IC_(5)0)values of 2.3–7.2μmol/*** anticancer effect was generated via the induction of Hep G2 cell apoptosis by inhibiting the phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase(PI3K)pathway.

Inhibitory effect of blue honeysuckle extract on high-fat-diet-induced fatty liver in mice

Blue honeysuckle is rich in polyphenols, and recently receiving attention because of its potential antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD) is the leading cause of chronic liver disease that develops hepatic inflammation and metabolic syndrome. The present study aims to study the effect of blue honeysuckle extract(BHE) on fat deposition and hepatic lipid peroxidation in a high-fat-diet(HFD)-induced mouse model. Mice were fed a normal diet(ND) or a HFD containing 0.5% or 1% of BHE or not for 45 d. Liver sections were stained by hematoxylin-eosin *** lipids were measured by a clinical analyzer. Insulin was examined by ELISA, and hepatic proteins were detected by Western blotting. Dietary supplementation of BHE dose-dependently suppressed HFD-induced obesity and hepatic fat deposition. Moreover, BHE improved glucose metabolism by increasing insulin sensitivity and attenuated oxidative stress potentially by up-regulating nuclear factor(erythroid-derived 2)-like 2(Nrf2)-mediated pathway.

Numerical simulation of effect of convection-diffusion on oxygen transport in microcirculation

The entire process of oxygen transport in microcirculation by developing a3 D porous media model is calculated numerically with coupled solid deformation-fluid seepage-convection and diffusion. The principal novelty of the model is that it takes into account volumetric deformation of both capillary and tissues resulting from capillary fluctuation. How solid deformation, fluid seepage, and convection-diffusion combine to affect oxygen transport is examined quantitatively：（1） Solid deformation is more significant in the middle of capillary, where the maximum value of volumetric deformation reaches about 0.5%.（2） Solid deformation has positive influence on the tissue fluid so that it flows more uniformly and causes oxygen to be transported more uniformly, and eventually impacts oxygen concentration by 0.1%–0.5%.（3） Convection-diffusion coupled deformation and seepage has a maximum（16%） and average（3%） increase in oxygen concentration,compared with pure molecular diffusion. Its more significant role is to allow oxygen to be transported more evenly.
