Restrictions of groundwater management are often derived from the insufficient or missing groundwater database.A suitable and complete groundwater database will allow sound engineering plans for sustainable water usage,including the drilling of wells,rates of water withdrawal,and eventually artificial recharge of the *** spatial-temporal variations of groundwater monitoring data are fluently influenced by the presence of manual factors,monitor equipment malfunctioning,natural phenomena,***,it is necessary for researchers to check and infill the groundwater database before running the numerical groundwater *** this paper,an artificial neural network(ANN)-based model is formulated using the hydrological and meteorological data to infill the inadequate data in the groundwater *** results present that ANN method could be a desirable choice for estimating the missing groundwater data.

The process of transformation of rainfall into runoff over a catchment is very complex and highly nonlinear and exhibits both tempor al and spatial variabilities. In this article, a rainfall-runoff model using th e artificial neural networks (ANN) is proposed for simula ting the runoff in storm events. The study uses the data from a coa stal forest catchment located in Seto Inland Sea, Japan. This article studies the accuracy of the short-term rainfall forecast obta ined by ANN time-series analysis techniques and using antecedent rainfa ll depths and stream flow as the input information. The verification results from the proposed model indicate that the approach of ANN rai nfall-runoff model presented in this paper shows a reasonable agreement in rainfall-runoff modeling with high accuracy.

The growth of dendrites and the side reactions occurring at the Zn anode pose significant challenges to the commercialization of aqueous Zn-ion batteries（AZIBs）. These challenges arise from the inherent conflict between mass transfer and electrochemical kinetics. In this study, we propose the use of a multifunctional electrolyte additive based on the xylose（Xylo） molecule to address these issues by modulating the solvation structure and electrode/electrolyte interface, thereby stabilizing the Zn anode. The introduction of the additive alters the solvation structure, creating steric hindrance that impedes charge transfer and then reduces electrochemical kinetics. Furthermore, in-situ analyses demonstrate that the reconstructed electrode/electrolyte interface facilitates stable and rapid Zn2+ion migration and suppresses corrosion and hydrogen evolution reactions. As a result, symmetric cells incorporating the Xylo additive exhibit significantly enhanced reversibility during the Zn plating/stripping process, with an impressively long lifespan of up to 1986 h, compared to cells using pure ZnSO4electrolyte. When combined with a polyaniline cathode, the full cells demonstrate improved capacity and long-term cyclic stability. This work offers an effective direction for improving the stability of Zn anode via electrolyte design, as well as highperformance AZIBs.

As a microforming technique, micro/nano-structural replication possesses advantages of high precision and efficiency. With the remarkable superplasticity in the supercooled liquid region, amorphous alloys or metallic glasses(MGs) are regarded as ideal materials for miniature fabrication. However, due to the intrinsic metastable nature of supercooled liquids, the design of imprinting processes for MGs poses a challenge. In the past, process parameters have largely relied on trial-and-error *** this work, a low-frequency active force modulation system is employed to apply a stable, precise, and real-time feedback stress field for imprinting of MG samples. Low-frequency vibrations can facilitate the filling of microstructures on the template surface by reducing the effective viscosity of the supercooled liquid. With the dataset composed of orthogonal experiments, a machine learning strategy based on back-propagation(BP) neural networks was utilized to construct a 3D parameter space for temperature, stress, and time, and to predict the corresponding filling ratio. Furthermore, the optimal combination of imprinting process parameters was identified, and its filling ratio was experimentally validated to reach as high as 0.94. The near-perfect replication of microstructures confirms the superiority of the active force modulation system and the data-driven strategy of machine learning-assisted parameter design. At the same time, this one-step microforming process provides a new approach to addressing the accuracy-cost trade-off dilemma in precision manufacturing.

For any pair of integers g and n with g ≥ 3 and 1 ≤ n ≤ g, we build a 3-manifold with a distance-2,genus-g Heegaard splitting so that(1) it contains n pairwise disjoint and nonisotopic essential tori;(2) after it is cut open along these tori, one resulting piece is hyperbolic while the others are small Seifert fibered spaces;(3) it provides a substantial result to the rank versus genus problem. These generalize a result in Qiu and Zou(2019).

Poultry litter biochar is known to improve crop ***,its beneficial interactions with chemical fertilizer and/or organic manure on rice yield and nitrogen(N)use efficiency(NUE)are not well *** objective of this study was to co-apply poultry litter biochar(hereinafter biochar)and chemical fertilizer and/or Azolla as organic manure(herein N fertilizer sources)to improve the productivity of rice and *** treatments-no amendments(control),chemical fertilizer(NPK),Azolla as green manure(Azolla),and NPK+Azolla without and with biochar amendment-were evalu-ated in a pot *** rice plant growth components,yield,and NUE were *** to the treatments without biochar,co-application of biochar and N fertilizer sources significantly improved grain N uptake by 23.9%and NUE by 34.3-246.9%.These treatments also significantly improved rice growth components(5.6-18.2%)and grain yield(32.4%).Significant changes in soil properties including increases in pH,electrical conductivity(EC),total N,organic car-bon,and available phosphorus were observed following biochar *** for the soil pH and EC parameters,no significant synergistic interactions between biochar and N fertilizer sources were observed for any parameters in the present ***,compared to other treatments,the co-application of biochar and Azolla offers a feasible approach to improve rice productivity and NUE and reduce chemical fertilizer use,thereby reducing agricultural pollution and production costs.
