During the initial stages of software development,the primary goal is to define precise and detailed requirements without concern for software *** constraints should be introduced then and must be based on the semantic aspects of applications,not on their software architectures,as it is the case in most secure development *** these stages,we need to identify threats as attacker goals and indicate what conceptual security defenses are needed to thwart these goals,without consideration of implementation *** can consider the effects of threats on the application assets and try to find ways to stop *** threats should be controlled with abstract security mechanisms that can be realized by abstract security patterns(ASPs),that include only the core functions of these mechanisms,which must be present in every implementation of *** abstract security pattern describes a conceptual security mechanism that includes functions able to stop or mitigate a threat or comply with a regulation or institutional *** describe here the properties of ASPs and present a detailed *** relate ASPs to each other and to Security Solution Frames,which describe families of related *** show how to include ASPs to secure an application,as well as how to derive concrete patterns from ***,we discuss their practical value,including their use in“security by design”and IoT systems design.

In the research of software reuse, feature models have been widely adopted to capture, organize and reuse the requirements of a set of similar applications in a software do- main. However, the construction, especially the refinement, of feature models is a labor-intensive process, and there lacks an effective way to aid domain engineers in refining feature models. In this paper, we propose a new approach to support interactive refinement of feature models based on the view updating technique. The basic idea of our approach is to first extract features and relationships of interest from a possibly large and complicated feature model, then organize them into a comprehensible view, and finally refine the feature model through modifications on the view. The main characteristics of this approach are twofold： a set of powerful rules （as the slicing criterion） to slice the feature model into a view auto- matically, and a novel use of a bidirectional transformation language to make the view updatable. We have successfully developed a tool, and a nontrivial case study shows the feasi- bility of this approach.

We present relative sea level （RSL） curves in Antarctica derived from glacial isostatic adjustment （GIA）predictions based on the melting scenarios of the Antarctic ice sheet since the Last Glacial Maximum （LGM）given in previous ***,Holocene-age RSL observations obtained at the raised beaches along the coast of Antarctica are shown to be in agreement with the GIA *** differences from previously published ice-loading models regarding the spatial distribution and total mass change of the melted ice are *** models were also derived from GIA modelling; the variations can be attributed to the lack of geological and geographical evidence regarding the history of crustal movement due to ice sheet ***,we summarise the previously published ice load models and demonstrate the RSL curves based on combinations of different ice and earth *** RSL curves calculated by GIA models indicate that the model dependence of both the ice and earth models is significantly large at several sites where RSL observations were *** particular,GIA predictions based on the thin lithospheric thickness show the spatial distributions that are dependent on the melted ice thickness at each *** characteristics result from the short-wavelength deformation of the ***,our predictions strongly suggest that it is possible to find the average ice model despite the use of the different models of lithospheric *** sea level and crustal movement observations,we can deduce the geometry of the post-LGM ice sheets in detail and remove the GIA contribution from the crustal deformation and gravity change observed by space geodetic techniques,such as GPS and grace,for the estimation of the Antarctic ice mass change associated with recent global warming.

For structural comparisons of paired prokaryotic genomes,an important topic in synthetic and evolutionary biology,the locations of shared orthologous genes(henceforth orthologs)are observed as binned *** and other data,e.g.,wind directions recorded at monitoring sites and intensive care unit arrival times on the 24-hour clock,are counted in binned circular arcs,thus modeling them by discrete circular distributions(DCDs)is *** propose a novel method to construct a DCD from a base continuous circular distribution(CCD).The probability mass function is defined to take the normalized values of the probability density function at some pre-fixed equidistant points on the *** families of constructed DCDs which have normalizing constants in closed form are *** studies show that DCDs outperform the corresponding CCDs in modeling grouped(discrete)circular data,and minimum chi-square estimation outperforms maximum likelihood estimation for *** apply the constructed DCDs,invariant wrapped Poisson and wrapped discrete skew Laplace to compare the structures of paired bacterial ***,discrete four-parameter wrapped Cauchy(nonnegative trigonometric sums)distribution models multi-modal shared orthologs in Clostridium(Sulfolobus)better than the others considered,in terms of AIC and Freedman’s goodness-of-fit *** result that different DCDs fit the shared orthologs is consistent with the fact they belong to two ***,these prokaryotes have a common favored site around 70°on the unit circle;this finding is important for building synthetic prokaryotic genomes in synthetic *** DCDs can also be applied to other binned circular data.

The effects of tube bank configuration on forces and heat transfer were investigated for both two-dimensional and three-dimensional gas fluidized beds. Effective dynamic forces and heat transfer coefficients were measured for several tube bank configurations, and it was found that the average forces are smaller than for a single tube. The heat transfer coefficient can be increased by providing sufficient space for particles to descend around both sides of the tube bank. The results provide useful guidelines for optimizing the configuration of tube banks to achieve high heat transfer coefficients while reducing tube erosion due to dynamic forces.

Effects of Gaussian filter in processing grace data: Gravity rate of change at Lhasa,southern Tibet

In this paper, the spatial gravity distribution over Tibetan Plateau and the gravity rate of change at Lhasa for different Gaussian filter radii are computed using grace data. Results show that the estimate of the gravity rate of change is spatialradius-dependent of the Ganssian filter. The grace-estimated gravity rate of change agrees well with the surface measured one. In other words, the grace-estimated gravity rate of change has a limited value as that obtained by surface measurement when the spatial filter radius reaches zero. Then numerical simulations are made for different spatial radii of the Gaussian filter to investigate its behaviors when applied to surface signals. Results show that the estimate of a physical signal is filter-radius dependent. If the computing area is equal to or less than the mass area, especially for a uniformly distributed mass, the estimate gives an almost correct result, no matter what filter radius is used. The estimate has large error because of the signal leakage caused by harmonic truncation if the computing area is much bigger than the mass distribution （or inverse for a small mass anomaly）. If a mass anomaly is too small, it is difficult to recover it from space observation unless the filter radius is extremely small. If the computing point （or area） is outside the mass distribution, the estimated result is almost zero, particularly for small filter radii. These properties of the Gaussian filter are helpful in applying grace data in different geophysical problems with different spatial position and geometrical size. We further discuss physical sources causing the scalar gravity change at Lhasa. Discussions indicate that the gravity rate of change at Lhasa is not caused by the present-day ice melting （PDIM）（or Little Ice Age, LIA） effect because no ice melting occurs in Lhasa city and nearby. The simulated results of the influence of twin and three satellite formation mode on the accuracy of grace Earth＇s gravitational field are interpreted from the viewpoint of physics. Because the effective satellite observation information of Earth＇s gravitational field recovery from three-satellite formation mode is only one time more than that of twin satellites, the improvement of the accuracy of Earth＇s gravitational field is far lower than one order of magnitude based on the simple two-times differences between three satellites. Three efficient ways of improving largely the accuracy of measurement of the Earth＇s gravitational field in the future international satellite gravity measurement programme, including proper decrease of satellite orbital altitude, the increase of accuracy from key payloads and an innovation of satellite observation mode are proposed.

The grace Earth＇s gravitational field complete up to degree and order 120 is recovered based on the same and different three-axis resolution indexes from satellite-borne accelerometer using the improved energy conservation principle. The results show that designing XA1（2） as low-sensitivity axis （3 × 10^-9 m/s^2） of accelerometer and designing YA1（2） and ZA1（2） as high-sensitivity axes （3 × 10^-10 m/s^2） are reasonable. The physical reason why the resolution of XA1（2） is one order of magnitude lower than YA1（2） and ZA1（2） is that non-conservative forces acting on grace satellites are mainly decomposed into YA1（2） and ZA1（2） in the orbital plane. Since XA1（2） is not orthogonal accurately to orbital plane during the development of accelerometer, the measurement of XA1（2） can not be thrown off entirely, but be reduced properly.
