Green hydrogen from water splitting has emerged as a critical energy vector with the potential to spearhead the global transition to a fossil fuel-independent *** field of catalysis has been revolutionized by single-atom catalysts(SACs),which exhibit unique and intricate interactions between atomically dispersed metal atoms and their ***,bimetallic SACs(bimSACs)have garnered significant attention for leveraging the synergistic functions of two metal ions coordinated on appropriately designed *** offer an avenue for rich metal–metal and metal–support cooperativity,potentially addressing current limitations of SACs in effectively furnishing transformations which involve synchronous proton–electron exchanges,substrate activation with reversible redox cycles,simultaneous multi-electron transfer,regulation of spin states,tuning of electronic properties,and cyclic transition states with low activation *** review aims to encapsulate the growing advancements in bimSACs,with an emphasis on their pivotal role in hydrogen generation via water *** subsequently delve into advanced experimental methodologies for the elaborate characterization of SACs,elucidate their electronic properties,and discuss their local coordination ***,we present comprehensive discussion on the deployment of bimSACs in both hydrogen evolution reaction and oxygen evolution reaction,the two half-reactions of the water electrolysis process.

Network-aware perceptual error concealment method for H.264 video with side information

In order to improve the video quality of transmission with data loss,a spatial and temporal error concealment method was proposed,which considered both the state information of the network and the perceptual weight of the video *** proposed method dynamically changed the reliability weight of the neighboring macroblock,which was used to conceal the lost macroblocks according to the packet loss rate of the current channel *** perceptual weight map was utilized as side information to do weighted pixel interpolation and side-match based motion compensation for spatial and temporal error concealment,*** the perceptual weight of the neighboring macroblocks was adaptively modified according to the perceptual weight of the lost *** with the method used in H.264 joint model,experiment results show that the proposed method performs well both in subjective video quality and objective video quality,and increases the average peak signal-to-noise ratio(PSNR) of the whole frame by about 0.4 dB when the video bitstreams are transmitted with packets loss.

A new optimal approach to segmentation of 2D range scans to line sections

In order to obtain a compact and exact representation of 2D range scans,UKF(unscented Kalman filter) and CDKF(central difference Kalman filter) were proposed for extracting the breakpoint of the laser data. Line extraction was performed in every continuous breakpoint region by detecting the optimal angle and the optimal distance in polar coordinates,and every breakpoint area was constructed with two points. As a proof to the method,an experiment was performed by a mobile robot equipped with one SICK laser rangefinder,and the results of UKF/CDKF in breakpoint detection and line extraction were compared with those of the EKF(extended Kalman filter) . The results show that the exact geometry of the raw laser data of the environments can be obtained by segmented raw measurements(combining the proposed breakpoint detection approach with the line extraction method) ,and method UKF is the best one compared with CDKF and EKF.

Numerical study of steady-state acoustic oscillations in semi-closed straight channel

The influence of properties of finite-difference schemes of Godunov, Lax-Wendroff and TVD on prediction of amplitudefrequency responses of pressure oscillations is investigated as a part of a problem of steady-state oscillations in a semi-closed channel. Problems of Riemann and pipe draining are solved as a test. It is shown that the dissipative properties of Godunov scheme underestimate the amplitude of high-frequency oscillations relative to the experimental data. Lax-Wendroff scheme predicts an amplitude-frequency response with sufficient degree of accuracy. TVD scheme leads to nonmonotonic amplitude-frequency response and overestimates values of resonance frequencies.

Research on Forecasting Flowering Phase of Pear Tree Based on Neural Network

Predicting the blooming season of ornamental plants is significant for guiding adjustments in production decisions and providing viewing periods and *** current strategies for observation of ornamental plant booming periods are mainly based on manpower and experience,which have problems such as inaccurate recognition time,time-consuming and energy ***,this paper proposes a neural network-based method for predicting the flowering phase of pear ***,based on the meteorological observation data of Shijiazhuang Meteorological Station from 2000 to 2019,three principal components(the temperature factor,weather factor,and humidity factor)with high correlation coefficient with the flowering phase of pear tree are obtained by using the principal component analysis ***,the three components are used as input factors for the BP neural network.A BP neural network prediction model is constructed based on genetic algorithm *** crossover operator and mutation operator in the adaptive genetic algorithm are ***,the meteorological sample data from 2013 to 2019 are used to test and verify the algorithm in this *** results demonstrate that,the model can solve the local optimization problem of the BP neural network *** prediction results of the flowering phase of pear tree are evaluated in terms of relevance and prediction *** are superior to the traditional effective accumulated temperature and the prediction results of the stepwise regression *** method can provide more reliable forecast information for the blooming period,which can provide decision-making reference for improving the development of tourism industry.

To better regulate the speed of brushless DC motors,an improved algorithm based on the original Glowworm Swarm Optimization is *** proposed algorithm solves the problems of poor robustness,slow convergence,and low accuracy exhibited by traditional PID *** selecting the glowworm neighborhood set,an optimization scheme based on the growth and competition behavior of weeds is applied to a single glowworm to prevent falling into a local optimal *** the glowworm’s position is updated,the league selection operator is introduced to search for the global optimal *** the local search ability of the invasive weed optimization with the global search ability of the league selection operator enhances the robustness of the algorithm and also accelerates the convergence speed of the *** mathematical model of the brushless DC motor is established,the PID parameters are tuned and optimized using improved Glowworm Swarm Optimization algorithm,and the speed of the brushless DC motor is *** a Simulink environment,a double closed-loop speed control model was established to simulate the speed control of a brushless DC motor,and this simulation was compared with a traditional PID *** simulation results show that the model based on the improved Glowworm Swarm Optimization algorithm has good robustness and a steady-state response speed for motor speed control.

Along with the rapid development of biometric authentication technology,face recognition has been commercially used in many industries in recent ***,it cannot be ignored that face recognition-based authentication techniques can be easily spoofed using various types of attacks such photographs,videos or forged 3D *** order to solve this problem,this work proposed a face anti-fraud algorithm based on the fusion of thermal infrared images and visible light *** normal temperature distribution of the human face is stable and characteristic,and the important physiological information of the human body can be observed by the infrared thermal ***,based on the thermal infrared image,the pixel value of the pulse sensitive area of the human face is collected,and the human heart rate signal is detected to distinguish between real faces and spoofing *** order to better obtain the texture features of the face,an image fusion algorithm based on DTCWT and the improved Roberts algorithm is ***,DTCWT is used to decompose the thermal infrared image and visible light image of the face to obtain high-and low-frequency ***,the method based on region energy and the improved Roberts algorithm are then used to fuse the coefficients of the high-and low-frequency ***,the DTCWT inverse transform is used to obtain the fused image containing the facial texture *** recognition is carried out on the fused image to realize identity *** results show that this algorithm can effectively resist attacks from photos,videos or *** with the use of visible light images alone for face recognition,this algorithm has higher recognition accuracy and better robustness.

Development of a novel cycling impact–sliding wear rig to investigate the complex friction motion

In many industrial devices, impact-sliding wear is caused by a variety of complex vibrations between the contacted interfaces. Under actual conditions, impact and sliding motions do not occur in only one direction, and different complex impact-sliding motions exist on the tribology surfaces. In this study, an impact-sliding wear test rig is developed to investigate the wear effect of different complex motions. Using this rig, multi-type impact-sliding wear effects are realized and measured, such as those derived from unidirectional, reciprocating, and multi-mode combination motions. These three types of impact–sliding wear running behavior are tested and the wear damage mechanism is discussed.

Experiment and finite element method analysis mass erosion and transfer of Ag/La_2NiO_4-based electrical contacts during operation

A uniform transient temperature field model of electrical contacts operation was found by analyzing the process of closing arc constriction resistance Joule heat ~ breaking arc. Essential parameters of Ag/La2NiO4 electrical contact material for transient temperature field calculation were obtained through tests of electrical contact experimental instrument under 18 V DC in different cur- rents, other correlation experiments, and calculation anal- ysis. The finite element method was applied to solve the transient temperature field, and the features and distribution of the transient temperature field were obtained. The condition of material erosion and mass transfer can be forecasted by those calculation results. It is beneficial to research about the lifetime of Ag/La2NiO4 electrical material.

Let (R, m) be a relative Cohen–Macaulay local ring with respect to an ideal a of R and set c to be ht a. We investigate some properties of the Matlis dual of the R-module H^ca(R), and we show that such modules behave like canonical modules over Cohen–Macaulay local rings. Moreover, we provide some duality and equivalence results with respect to the module H^ca(R)^∨, and these results lead us to achieve generalizations of some known results, such as the local duality theorem, which have been provided over a Cohen–Macaulay local ring admiting a canonical R-module.
