Biogas is a significant renewable source as well as an alternative energy carrier provided by Anaerobic Digestion(AD)of biodegradable food wastes and other organic *** paper describes some major facts about biogas along with the barriers and adaptation of CBG in society,it also narrates the types of feedstocks available for biogas generation and what are the major sources in *** this study,different stages of anaerobic digestion are discussed such as hydrolysis,acidogenesis,acetogenesis and methanogenesis for biogas *** its purification,the biogas can be used as a fuel for domestic as well as transportation purposes.A glimpse of biogas like purification techniques like biological desulphurization,iron chloride dosing,pressure swing adsorption,chemical scrubbing and water scrubbing is given,the major additions of national policy of biofuels in 2018 is also *** has been found that in India,majorly pressure swing adsorption and water scrubbing methods are used for biogas purification,currently,the country has 12 commercial CBG plants with a total CBG output capacity of 18,461.7 tonnes per year,which is just 0.06 percent of the total *** details of the plants along with their CBG production capacity are described,and sustainable alternative towards affordable transportation(SATAT)launched by MoPNG is introduced in this study,furthermore,the features and types of models suggested by Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas(MoPNG)to introduce compressed biogas(CBG)in city gas distribution(CGD)network are discussed.

This study investigates the potential of contemporary Earth-Sheltered Buildings to contribute to sustainable societies by achieving Plus energy Building status during the heating *** buildings analyzed are intended to house a four-member family(102.5 m^(2)).The house is equipped with a ground source heat pump,geothermal vertical probes,floor heating panels,an energy recovery ventilator,and building-integrated photovoltaic panels installed on the exposed building *** numerical analysis(using energyPlus software)was carried out for nine European sites covering five different climatic zones(namely:southern,Atlantic,continental,alpine,and northern climate)and three latitude belts spanning Europe from south to *** above 65°N(northern and alpine climate)could not achieve Plus energy status with 20% efficient *** 15% efficient BIPVs,the building above 59°N(northern climate)was incapable of achieving this as *** the monthly time step,the buildings in the southern and Atlantic climates with 15% efficient BiPVs were able to produce an energy surplus every month,as was the building in theAlps with 20% efficientBIPVs.

The knowledge of water temperature produced from a geothermal reservoir and its composition is of utmost importance in designing utilization strategies, the surface production facilities and in selecting the material to be used. Unai hot springs are located in the southern part of Gujarat, India with discharge temperatures varying from 51 to 56 ℃. With the aim of developing Unai as a potential geothermal field and exploiting it in the future, geochemical and geothermometrical study was undertaken. The samples were collected from various Unai geothermal location and analysis of chemical composition of water obtained from different wells was done. The concentration of Silica, carbonate and ions like Na and Cl have been analyzed to delineate the path of water movement in the subsurface and classify the reservoir based on the *** ratio of the concentration of ions like Na^+ and K^+ and the relative proportions of various sets of ions were also used to characterize the geothermal reservoir and the reservoir fluid by the use of ternary diagrams. Na–K–Ca,Chalcedony, quartz, and Silica geo-thermometers have been studied. The present study also envisages the importance of graphical representations like Piper diagram,Scholler etc. to determine variation in hydrochemical facies and to understand the evolution of hydrochemical processes in the Unai geothermal field respectively. The study yields the conclusion that the reservoir under consideration is a low enthalpy reservoir with temperature ranging from 60 to 80 ℃.

In terms of the coal reservoir permeability of effective stress, coal matrix shrinkage and gas slippage,we conduct the tests of gas permeability under constant confining pressure and effective stress, as well as illustrate the cumulating method of permeability increment caused by the effects of gas slippage and coal matrix *** results show that under the constant confining pressure, gas slippage affecting coal permeability changes to effective stress affecting it mainly. The change point increases with the increase of the confining pressure. The gas slippage effect leads to high permeability under low confining pressure, but coal matrix expansion results in the low value as confining and gas pressures increase. Combined with the drainage process of coalbed methane(CBM)well, the permeability is divided into four change stages based on the above analysis about the three effects, which can improve the change regulation understanding. Four stages are the downward phase under effective stress,the conversion phase of effective stress-coal matrix contraction effect(mainly based on effective stress), the rising stage of the effective stress-coal matrix contraction effect(mainly based on coal matrix contraction effect) and the rising phase of coal matrix contraction-slippage effect(mainly based on slippage effect). Permeability of coal reservoir during the process of drainage and production goes through four stages.

For efficient utilization of a limited geothermal resource in practical projects,the cycle parameters were comprehensively analyzed by combining with the heat transfer performance of the plate heat exchanger,with a variation of flowrate of R245 *** influence of working fluid flowrate on a 500 W ORC system was *** the working fluid flowrate to an optimal value results in the most efficient heat transfer and hence the optimal heat transfer parameters of the plate heat exchanger can be ***,for the ORC systems,optimal working fluid flowrate should be *** different temperature hot water as the heat source,it is found that the optimal flowrate increases by 6-10 L/h with 5 ℃ increment of hot water inlet *** experiment,lower degree of superheat of the working fluid at the outlet the plate heat exchanger may lead to unstable power *** is considered that the plate heat exchanger has a compact construction which makes its bulk so small that liquid mixture causes the unstable power *** avoid this phenomenon,the flow area of plate heat exchanger should be larger than the designed ***,installing a small shell and tube heat exchanger between the outlet of plate heat exchanger and the inlet of expander can be another solution.

In-situ angle-dispersive x-ray diffraction measurements on three samples of Gr14An84,Gr34An64 and Gr63An34 were performed by using a diamond anvil cell instrument with synchrotron radiation at the Beijing Synchrotron Radiation Facility at up to 13.7 GPa.A least−square fit of the pressure-volume to the Birch–Murnaghan equation of state,when fixed K'0=4.0 yields bulk modulus values of K0=166±2,168±3,173±2 GPa for Gr_(14)An_(84),Gr_(34)An_(64 )and Gr_(63)An_(34),*** bulk modulus increases from 166±2 GPa for Gr_(14)An_(84) and to 173±2 GPa for Gr_(63)An_(34) with the increasing An ***,by linear interpolation,the bulk modulus of the Gr−An binary system as a function of An content can be expressed as K0(GPa)=176.9(9)−0.12(1)XAn(R^(2)=0.987).

Artificial Neural Networks(ANNs)are used in numerous engineering and scientific disciplines as an automated approach to resolve a number of ***,to build an artificial neural network that is prudent enough to rely on,vast quantities of relevant data have to be *** this study,we analysed the scope of artificial neural networks in geothermal reservoir *** particular,we attempted to solve joint inversion problem through Feedforward Neural Network(FNN)*** order to identify geothermal sweet spots in the subsurface,an extensive geophysical studies were conducted in Gandhar area of Gujarat,*** data were acquired along six profile lines for gravity,magnetics and *** low velocity zone was identified using refraction seismic technique in order to set a common datum level for other potential *** depth of low velocity zone in Gandhar was identified at 11 *** FNN backpropagation method was applied to gain the global minima of the data space and model space as *** input dataset fed to the inversion algorithm in the form of gravity,magnetic susceptibility and resistivity helped to predict the suitable model after network training in multiple *** joint inversion of data is conducive to understanding the subsurface geological and lithological features along with probable geothermal sweet *** results of this study show the geothermal sweet spots at depth ranging from 200 m to 300 *** results from our study can be used for targeted zones for geothermal water exploitation.
