Drought across Northwest China in late spring has exerted a vital effect on the local climate and agricultural production,and has been alleviated during the past *** study explored the influence of the preceding Arctic sea ice on the May drought in Northwest China caused by the precipitation *** analysis indicated that when the Greenland Sea ice concentration is abnormally high during February to April,the dry conditions in Northwest China tend to be *** increase of sea ice in the Greenland Sea can excite a meridional circulation,which causes sea surface temperature(SST)anomalies in the North Atlantic via the sea-air interaction,manifested as significant warm SST anomalies over the south of Greenland and the subtropical North Atlantic,but negative SST anomalies over the west of the *** abnormal SST pattern maintains to May and triggers a zonal wave train from the North Atlantic through Scandinavia and Central Asia to Northwest China,leading to abnormal cyclones in Northwest ***,Northwest China experiences a more humid climate than usual.

Green hydrogen from water splitting has emerged as a critical energy vector with the potential to spearhead the global transition to a fossil fuel-independent *** field of catalysis has been revolutionized by single-atom catalysts(SACs),which exhibit unique and intricate interactions between atomically dispersed metal atoms and their ***,bimetallic SACs(bimSACs)have garnered significant attention for leveraging the synergistic functions of two metal ions coordinated on appropriately designed *** offer an avenue for rich metal–metal and metal–support cooperativity,potentially addressing current limitations of SACs in effectively furnishing transformations which involve synchronous proton–electron exchanges,substrate activation with reversible redox cycles,simultaneous multi-electron transfer,regulation of spin states,tuning of electronic properties,and cyclic transition states with low activation *** review aims to encapsulate the growing advancements in bimSACs,with an emphasis on their pivotal role in hydrogen generation via water *** subsequently delve into advanced experimental methodologies for the elaborate characterization of SACs,elucidate their electronic properties,and discuss their local coordination ***,we present comprehensive discussion on the deployment of bimSACs in both hydrogen evolution reaction and oxygen evolution reaction,the two half-reactions of the water electrolysis process.

U-Pb dating of bastnäsite from the Vuoriyarvi massif:An example application for assessing the REE potential of carbonatite-related deposits

The Vuoriyarvi massif is a Devonian multistage alkaline-ultrabasic carbonatite complex within the kola alkaline *** carbonatites of the Vuoriyarvi massif contain abundant rare-earth mineralization mainly represented by ancylite-(Ce)and bastnäsite-(Ce).Ancylite was previously shown to have probably formed in the Devonian(ca.365 Ma)during an early postmagmatic *** geological observations have revealed a much later crystallization of bastnäsite but have not been able to specify the exact age of the *** in situ U-Pb dating of bastnäsite allowed us to constrain its ***äsite for this study was extracted from two varieties of dolomite carbonatite breccias cemented by(1)quartz-bastnäsite and(2)strontianite aggregates(hereafter bastnäsite-rich and strontianite-rich carbonatites–BRC and SRC,respectively).The obtained age estimations(237.7±9.8 Ma and 239.9±4.1 Ma,respectively)indicate that both studied rocks were formed during a single *** revealed age difference(~125 Ma)excludes the genetic link between the bastnäsite origin and regional alkaline magmatism,pointing out an additional source for the Vuoriyarvi bastnäsite-bearing ***,the obtained U-Pb ages provide strong evidence that a Triassic event is responsible for the occurrence of bastnäsite mineralization due to hydrothermal REE redistribution from the Devonian ancylite-rich *** of the REEs released during this process via dissolution of ancylite were precipitated in situ as bastnäsite,while strontium was transported and incorporated into *** Pb isotopic characteristics of bastnäsite(^(206)Pb/^(204)Pb=18.1±0.1,^(207)Pb/^(204)Pb=15.3±0.1,and^(207)Pb/^(206)Pb=0.84±0.01)are most probably inherited from the Devonian host rocks of the Vuoriyarvi massif involved in the Triassic *** signatures of Pb,Sr,and Nd show that the depleted mantle and lower crust played the leading role in formation of the Vuoriyarvi alkaline

This paper describes severe plastic deformation(SPD)procedures,which are utilized to form an ultrafine-grained structure in metallic *** the SPD process,a solid material sample is subjected to very high loads without a significant change in sample *** the present work,the high-pressure torsion(HPT)process,as one of the SPD techniques,which achieves a high degree of deformation and ensures refinement of the microstructure,will be discussed in more *** that grain size control is accepted as a method to obtain materials with desired characteristics,an overview of the properties of ultrafine-grained titanium-based biomaterials to be used in medicine is ***,particular attention is dedicated to the influences of HPT process parameters,primarily hydrostatic pressure,and number of revolutions during torsion,on the grain size and physical and mechanical characteristics(modulus of elasticity,microhardness,and tensile properties),corrosion resistance,and biocompatibility of the titanium-based biomaterials.A review of the literature indicates that titanium-based materials obtained by the SPD process show improved mechanical and physical properties without losing biocompatibility and corrosion resistance,which suggests that these methods of obtaining implants are something that should be further developed in the future.

For space-based gravitational wave （GW） detection,the main noise source for massive black hole binaries （MBHBs） is attributed to approximately 10～7double white dwarf binaries in the *** a GW source,the amplitude of the detector response,recorded by a space-based gravitational wave detector,exhibits a modulation effect with a year period when observing the source from various orbital *** the adverse conditions mentioned above,where there is a strong foreground noise and annual modulation in the signals,we employed the wavelet transform and the strong-amplitude relevant orbital position search methods,which allows the weak MBHB sources to achieve higher locating *** detail,for two MBHB sources of lower intensity,the precision of luminosity distance,represented by the ratio ?DL/DLat the 95%confidence level,is enhanced by factors of ～*** angular resolutions,denoted by??s,are enhanced by a factor of ～*** improvements increase the number of detectable GW sources,facilitate multi-messenger follow-up observations and provide constraints on the cosmological constant.

Li3VO4has been a promising insertion anode material for Li-ion batteries,which has high theoretical capacity (up to～600 mAh g-1) and safe Li insertion voltage （0.5–1 V ***/Li+）.However,the low initial Coulombic efficiency （ICE） has always been the bottleneck limiting its ***,we propose a facile pre-lithiation method to controllably elevate the ICE by the post-treatment of the prepared Li3VO4composite electrode based on an immersion *** this process,the whole electrode was immersed in the liquid Li source,via which the ICE of the Li3VO4electrode can be controllably elevated from 80%to over 100%within 5 min of *** than the traditional powder treatment for pre-lithiation,this process we proposed minimizes the impact of pre-lithiation on the battery assembly ***,we further investigated the effect of this pre-lithiation process on the functional components in the *** the first time the ICE of Li3VO4electrode was elevated to 100%.As a result,the initial reversible capacity of LiFePO4||Li3VO4full cell was improved from 44.0 to146.3 m Ah g-1,demonstrating the feasibility and great potential of the process.

Developing organic room-temperature phosphorescence （RTP） materials with a wide range of tunable-emission is significant in expanding the applications of RTP ***,we rationally designed amphiphilic alternating copolymers poly(1,2-bis（4-alkoxyphenyl）ethane-1,2-dione-alt-（ethylene glycol）x)(P（Bz-alt-EGx）) that combined the advantage of alternating benzil and EGxskeleton,and tunable mainchain *** a mainchain conformation ordering assembly （COA） process,P（Bz-alt-EGx） self-assembled into well-defined platelets,and such assemblies emitted blue RTP at ca.425 nm due to the ordered folded-chain conformation and confined *** contrast,traditional self-assembly （TA） of P（Bz-alt-EGx） obtained less ordered aggregates,such as asymmetric worms,vesicles,and rod-like *** resultant less ordered aggregates exhibited yellow-green RTP at ca.550 *** wide-tuning RTP emission in solution （between blue and yellow-green,over125 nm） is realized using the P（Bz-alt-EGx） alternating copolymers under the treatment of different self-assembly *** study uncovers a new strategy to tailor the RTP emission through different self-assembly pathways and holds great promise for the fabrication of advanced optical materials.
